"You really don’t give up, do you."
Waving his way through a series of sword strikes, Wan Ling sighed and spun.
While spinning, he fluidly lifted his right leg and sent a roundabout kick straight into Chen Yu’s face.
She was sent staggering from the kick, tripping off the arena before dropping on the ground where she struggled desperately to get her sword.
There she saw the direct faces of the disciples.
Some were twisted with satisfaction as they saw her squirm.
Others were still shocked at what they were seeing.
Some merely giggled and were extremely entertained.
"No!" Her eyes trembled, unwilling to accept this.
There was nothing more she hated than being looked down upon.
"You can instill the pain but you can’t take it!" Leaping from the arena, Wan Ling landed beside her body without any sound.
Chen Yu, still on the ground, turned her head only for her neck to be snatched and her body forcefully lifted.
She yelped in pain while a choir of shocked gasps echoed.
"Wan Ling let go of her now!!" He heard Li Wei scream in horror and tried to run towards him but the Arbitrator stepped in not to stop Wan ling but Li Wei.
"The battle ends when she yields!" He calmly stated leaving Li Wei gritting his teeths in frustration.
As for Wan Ling, he continued lifting her up by the neck, watching as she struggled so fiercely to break free.
She kicked at his chest, scratched at his hands and thought he bled, he didn’t let her go.
He just smiled darkly, his eyes cold.
"The strong take and the weak submit. It seems I’m the stronger one today." He laughed and tossed her back into the Arena.
She hit the ground hard, rolling for seconds only for a shadow to loom over her as she tried breathing.
It was Wan Ling descending from above with an axe kick.
Her face paled and she quickly forced herself to the sides, terrible pain shooting through her abdomen which Wan Ling had punched earlier.
Forcing her body up, her eyes widened in shock upon noticing the dent the ground had suffered upon his strike.
No mere body Tempering stage Cultivator could release this much output without Qi.
He would have to be in the Qi gathering stage to achieve their feats.
As the realization sunk in, her expression twisted into horror only for her to collapse onto her knees.
"Of all the people who have messed up my life. You four are at the button of the barrel." He commented and slowly walked towards her.
"You’re just a bunch of bullies. Misguided fools who believe the world revolves around them. I won’t kill you...."
He stopped in front of her then went on one knee.
His expression softened almost like an adult watching in disappointment at the mess of a child.
He then slowly grabbed her hand.
Tears began welling within Chen Yu’s eyes.
This was humiliating.
It was terrible but to her the worst had yet to come because right after grabbing her hand, Wan Ling twisted it without mercy.
A scream full of agony echoed within the arena.
Some disciples flinched in discomfort.
Some shuddered in fright.
A few nodded in satisfaction.
" That bastard!" Li Wei snapped unwillingly to accept this.
Zhang Hao and He Xue tried grabbing himself to stop him before he made their situation even more terrible but fueled by anger, he sprinted past the Arbiter and grabbed his sword from his own storage ring.
"I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU WAN LING For HURTING MY WOMAN!"
He charged at Wan Ling like a madman, pushing aside the crowd of people while potent Qi flared around his body.
The disciples screamed and scrambled away and the Arbiter began his pursuit but Wan Ling had already anticipated this and rushed at Chen Yu’s sword.
He grabbed it just in time to guard against Li Wei’s blow that forced him back considerably.
"Fuck!" He groaned feeling his hands grow numb as Li Wei using a movement technique blurred and reappeared behind him, his sword held up high.
"I was planning on letting bandits do you in ones you’re out of here but fuck that. I will kill you myself." He said and brought his sword down without mercy.
It took almost all Wan Ling had to safely redirect the strike to his side.
For a brief moment, Li Wei sword scraped alongside the surface of his blade then came a terrifying tremor as it struck the ground beside him and cleaved it in two.
Wan Ling was quick to abandon his sword, his own Qi flaring out as both of his hands lashed out at Li Wei’s neck and gripped it so tight he almost choked.
"Bastard!" He screamed but Wan Ling didn’t stop and drove his knees straight into his guts.
"Cough!" He spat blood and tried striking Wan Ling’s head with the hilt of his sword but he quickly let go resulting in Li Wei missing.
Wan Ling attacked again, his palms straightening as Qi gathered at its edges, then came a cross cut that left an X scar on Li Wei’s chest.
He growled in pain and tried counter attacking but a hand gripped his neck from behind.
"Enough!"
Then he was lifted off by a powerful force before slammed straight into the concrete arena.
Another tremor shook the entire training ground as Li Wei was left within a crater completely passed out.
The culprit being the Arbiter who had intervened.
Standing over Li Wei’s body he cracked his fingers with a look of disdain then turned to Wan Ling who panted heavily but was still standing.
He gave him a nod of approval before his eyes swept through the crowd.
"Wan Ling is the victor and as such, Chen Yu....."
He began and looked towards the squirming maiden who now had a broken limb.
"Zhang Hao."
He moved on to Zhang Hao who was on the verge of ripping his hair out.
"He Xue!"
She was on knees while her hands rested on her skull in despair.
"Finally Li Wei!"
He looked at Li Wei whom he knocked out, clearly angered.
Then he continued addressing the crowd.
"This four will honor their commitment with Wan Ling and since an agreed date was not specified. They shall do so until Wan Ling is satisfied."
