Chapter 17: Ch 17 Master Wan Ling pt 2

Dual Cultivation: Infinite Comprehension with Dual Cultivation Manual

Cloud Rest Pavilion.

In the outer court majority of the disciples were assigned sect issued quarters or dorms in order to live but things began to take a more luxurious approach when one arrived in the Inner court.

Here there were sect issues quarters and private ones.

These private quarters were expensive and paid for with spirit stones while for sect issued one, a disciple seemingly needed a certain amount of Sect points in order to live in.

Among the several private quarters within the inner court.

The cloud rest Pavilion was considered the best of the bunch.

It was the place where all the noble members of the sect lived.

Its status was akin to Beverly Hills back on earth.

The streets weren’t just kept clean but decorated to display a sense of class.

The buildings while not as space out like those in the core court left enough for privacy.

There were no vendors around here.

If you wanted something, you entered high luxury stores to buy them.

The sect was incredibly large enough to be considered a city but this place was like a gated community within the sect because of how much it differed from the Sect’s overall aesthetic.

Currently Wan Ling walked the streets and he felt like a fish out of water.

He was used to luxury given he had been born into nobility and all and even with all that experience, this place was as fascinating as ever.

The people who walked the streets were few and even then they moved in groups.

Young masters and their lovers glued to their hips.

Young Mistress and their entourages walking alongside them.

A single glance and one could tell these individuals didn’t care about Cultivation or pursuing the dao.

To them, reaching the minimum requirement was more than enough.

For a kingdom as peaceful as the moon country where war was rare and Cultivators were hardly needed, becoming an inner disciple of a sect, especially one as famous as the Golden Myriad sect, was enough to set one up for life.

Most of the people here had already achieved said goals so the rest was up to squadding the limitless amount of wealth they had.

Wan Ling didn’t hate them for that.

As a matter of fact if it wasn’t his revenge path, he would have thrived to become an inner disciple, find a hot and wealthy young mistress he could leech off on and spend the centuries he had indulging in pleasure.

Unfortunately he had people to kill and a family to bring back together.

So he continued down the streets subjected to the occasional glare of fellow colleagues.

"Their poor people’s senses are tingling!" Wan Ling jokily thought before branching into a restaurant.

The place was fancier and cleaner than most bathrooms while the variety of fragrance of food lingered like a welcome.

Moving towards the ordering table, Wan Ling smiled at the waiter and said," One spicy chicken salad soup!" He ordered.

The waitress looked him up and down.

From the wrinkled robes to the sheer lack of confidence and arrogance.

"Fellow disciple this is Cloud Rest Pavilion hotpot!" She stated.

"Yeah I know." Wan Ling nodded, already understanding what she was implying.

"So how much is it?" He asked, then she eventually sighed.

It wasn’t her place to judge customers, at the end of the day if they brought in money nothing else mattered.

"In total it will be three high grade spirit stones."

Wan Ling almost coughed up blood after hearing that.

The price of the food here could feed a family of four for an entire year.

Normally he would have fled back to his poor corner given he wasn’t a noble again but the benefits far out weighed the cons so taking three high grade spirit stones from the pouch Elder Han Lie had left behind, he passed it to the waitress.

" I’ll be taking it home. So package it as such." He further instructed and she nodded.

A few minutes later his order was ready and packaged in a beautiful bowl placed within a paper bag.

Wan Ling, shaking his head at this expense, quickly left the restaurant.

He continued down the road and slowly the distance between the buildings began to expand leaving entire areas empty and covered in lavish gardens.

Soon Wan Ling found himself standing before a gate being guarded by two high level cultivators.

"State your business!"

They raised their blades in vigilance to which he sighed.

"Order for Miss Bai Ruoxue by Wan Ling!" He started and passed the food to one of the guards.

He grabbed it, checked inside to make sure nothing suspicious was within then gave Wan Ling a stern look.

" Wait here!" He said and turned leaving Wan Ling in the company of the other guard.

" So is being a guard fun?" He asked but no reply came.

Wan Ling didn’t brother him anymore and chose to wait in silence.

Soon the guard returned, his expression cold.

"The Mistress will like to see you!" He announced and Wan Ling grinned and stepped forward.

The guard followed behind him as he was led through the giant gates.

On the other side, a narrow pathway in-between a beautiful garden stretched forward leading to an Eastern style mansion that made Wan Ling almost doubt the fact that he was even in a sect to begin with.

A place like this would cost more than hundreds of thousands of spirit stones and unlike most of the residences within this district, the mansion had been bought.

A feat that could only be achieved by the highest of nobility within the entire Moon country.

A feat that happened to belong to the Frost hearted Bai family.

One of the four great noble families within the entire country.

Within that mansion was one of their daughters and that was whom Wan Ling had set his eyes on.
