Chapter 18: Ch 18 Master Wan Ling pt 3

Dual Cultivation: Infinite Comprehension with Dual Cultivation Manual

The Frost hearted Bai clan were one of the four great families within the Moon country.

As for the four great families, they were four of the most ancient noble families who held enough power to challenge even the Royal family.

The Wan family which Wan Ling was born in was among these four.

So too was Bai Rouxue the second daughter of that family.

Wan Ling himself didn’t have much of a relation with this family.

He has met the third daughter once.

Back then he was a teenager and his mother and the wife of the Patriarch of the Bai family wanted to play matchmaking.

Of course his parents died before that could go through.

Even though he didn’t know them personally, he had heard tales about them.

Especially Bai Ruoxue who was one of the top inner court disciples alongside Feng Ye.

He had heard tales of her beauty from him and rumors of her power from disciples who had witnessed her battle.

More importantly she was a disciple of Elder Han Lie.

Who thought a repressed pervert had been one of the strongest Elders within the sect and even the entire martial world.

In the days after he fought Chen Yu, she sent some representative to talk to him about the so-called technique he had found but Wan Ling had kicked them out because of their unruly behavior.

Now though he was growing tired and wanted to pass on the technique because if he did nobody would brother him again and if the people he passed it to was Bai Rouxue even fellow disciples wouldn’t dare antagonize her.

As he arrived at the entrance of the mansion, he had a plan.

"The Mistress will be waiting behind the mansion." The guard informed and gestured towards the way.

Wan Ling nodded and continued down the path.

He circled around the mansion and quickly found his way behind it.

The garden continued this time surrounding an open hut where a beautiful young woman seated in a rocking chair calmly opened her icy blue eyes to his presence.

Wan Ling suddenly felt his Qi run cold while his breath grew moist and chilling.

"An ice spirit root!" He muttered observing as layers of frost spread across his fair skin and left him shivering.

Trying to augment his body with Qi was useless because it was frozen and he wasn’t strong enough to fight it.

Of course he was calm not because he was fearless but because this was the second time this had happened to him.

The first was with the third sister.

The children of the Frost hearted Bai clan were all born with ice element spirit root and until they reach the elemental realm where most Cultivators awaken the true nature of their Qi by resonating with their Spirit root, they can’t control it.

It was simultaneously a powerful gift and a burden because of how inconvenient it can be at times.

" Step forward, it won’t kill you."

The woman seated within the hut calmly instructed to which Wan Ling nodded and did as he was told.

Walking ahead, he infused the smallest bit of his freezing Qi into his eyes and observed as the natural Qi was slowly refined into frosts with the source being Bai Ruoxue.

Having seen it and understood the process he grinned as a notification flicked into existence before him.

[You have comprehended Eternal Frost Heart spirit root.]

[You have obtained, Eternal Frost Bloodline]

[You have obtained Eternal Frost spirit Root]

[Do you wish to assimilate with both]

[Y/N]

"Later!" He thought and went on to ignore the system.

Given he was going to force something that shouldn’t be, he didn’t expect the process to be painless hence he decided to focus on that when he was alone and well rested.

Having that mindset, he reached the hut and finally stood face to face with Bai Ruoxue.

She was just as beautiful as the rumors said.

Her face was delicate, coupled with her small nose and soft lips, she looked young and gentle.

Then came her light azura waist length that perfectly framed her face with bangs that covered her forehead neatly.

Her skin was white and as fresh as virgin snow and shimmer under the faintest touch of the sun.

Her body was adorned in a teal and cream colored stylist Hanfu.

The upper layer top was sleeveless and elegantly embraced the plumpness of her rather generous bust.

Then there was the skirt that ran from her upper half waist to down her legs with a slit cut through from the left side, offering glimpses of her pale thighs.

An outer cream robe with beautiful patterns of golden frost was draped around her shoulder and as she rose, they folded around her body like beautiful wings.

Having stood up, she slightly towered over Wan Ling who couldn’t help but arched a brow.

"It’s just the heels!" He mused, very intimidated while she smiled at his presence.

"Given you’re here. I take it you’re finally here to give me what is mine." She began to which Wan Ling was quick to intervene.

"You people really don’t understand do you!"

"Understanding what?" Bai Ruoxue crocked her neck in confusion.

Wan Ling chuckled and found a seat before leaning in with a casual demeanor.

Bai Ruoxue returned to her seat and elegantly crossed one leg over the other while softly tapping her thigh eager to know what she didn’t understand according to Wan Ling.

"Will you tell me, do I have to pry it out of your mouth or do you want me to beg?"

"The third option is a rather interesting proposal." He grinned and cracked his fingers.

The layers of ice covering his skin shattered and fell to the ground before he leaned forward with a sly smile.

"The notion that Elder Han Lie left behind an inheritance is true."

"The te...."

"An inheritance which was given to all his disciples."

"....."

That too was true.

Elder Han Lie had no children and as such majority of what he owned was split into two.

Most of his personal positions.

Like techniques, weapons and others were given to his students while the sect handed his properties.

So by all accounts there was nothing more to share.

"I was given a job to clean. I did and though I wasn’t paid much, I was told I could take one object given everything useful had already been looted."

"What then did you take?" She asked and Wan Ling went on to sigh.

"I will only speak under the condition that whatever I say will never leave your mouth and will solely be between you and me." He informed her before making any deals.
