As Hyeon-su emerged from the dungeon, he spotted an employee filming his exit with a video camera.

"Looks like you've cleared the dungeon. Your status as a Hunter has been confirmed."

The employee spoke with a bright smile before removing the memory card from the camera.Full novel: Dungeon Designer — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Hyeon-su returned to Counter 1, and after a short wait, he finally received his Hunter License.

Seeing the newly issued license made everything feel real, filling his heart with a warm, fluffy sensation.

'Since I'm already at the Hunter Association, I might as well sell the items I collected.'

An Inventory didn't have unlimited space, so Hunters apparently needed to empty theirs periodically.

There were items capable of expanding Inventory capacity, but they were said to be difficult to obtain.

'Of course, I'll have to get one eventually.'

-3F Item Sales Center

After checking the sign indicating the location of the Item Sales Center, Hyeon-su headed up to the third floor with an excited heart.

'I wonder how much I'll get?'

Many people were sitting in chairs, waiting for their turns.

'It's crowded here.'

Hyeon-su took a numbered ticket and sat down to wait.

DING-DONG—!

-Customer Number 56, please proceed to Booth 4.

When his number was called, Hyeon-su entered Booth 4 as instructed by the automated announcement.

'Why is this place so huge?'

He was surprised by how spacious it was.

Just then, an employee smiled and asked,

"What items would you like to sell?"

"A Magic Stone and several other items."

"They're in your Inventory, correct? Please place the Magic Stone on this table and the other items over here."

Following the employee's instructions, Hyeon-su took the Magic Stone and other items out of his Inventory.

"Looks like you've been to the Slime Dungeon."

The employee examined the Magic Stones and items one by one, writing something down on a document.

"Two lowest-grade Magic Stones, Slime Gel, Slime Marble, Slime Residue, Slime Crystal, and Slime Core. Everything's confirmed. May I have your Hunter License?"

Hyeon-su took out his Hunter License and handed it over.

The employee accepted it and returned to his workstation, where a computer was waiting.

"The total sale amount comes to 7.18 million won. Would you like that transferred to your bank account?"

'What the hell…….'

Hyeon-su's mouth fell slightly open when he heard the amount.

'Oh, right.'

"Yes, please. My account number is 254-785-62178 at Sua Bank."

A moment later.

"The transfer has been completed. Thank you."

The employee rose from his chair and bowed politely.

Still feeling dazed, Hyeon-su left the booth and sat down in the waiting area.

'7.18 million won. More than my monthly salary in a single day……. No, wait, wasn't it just two hours?'

It didn't feel real.

And he couldn't wait to see what the future held.

Hyeon-su fiddled with the resignation letter tucked inside his jacket as he rode a taxi back to his company.

'The time has finally come to use this.'

Once he'd gained confidence in his chosen path, the sooner he made his decision and acted on it, the better.

'First, let's settle things with that fucking company.'

Grin.

"Hehehe."

He couldn't stop himself from laughing.

The taxi driver seemed to be giving him strange looks for laughing to himself, but Hyeon-su didn't care.

Right now, he felt like he could fly.

Step, step.

Upon arriving at the company, he marched straight to his team leader's office and flung open the door.

BANG—!

The team leader was startled by the door suddenly opening without a knock, but that was nothing compared to his fury when he saw the bastard who'd taken a day off and skipped an important meeting standing before him.

"Baek Hyeon-su, you bastard! Have you lost your fucking mind?! You're the person in charge of the project, and you skipped the meeting?! You've got some fucking nerve! There's a limit to how much crazy shit you can pull……."

Blah, blah, blah.

For some reason, the team leader's voice sounded beautiful to Hyeon-su today.

'Oh, is he finished?'

After a long tirade, the commotion finally seemed to be dying down.

Hyeon-su took out the resignation letter he'd always kept close to his heart and dramatically tossed it onto the team leader's desk.

SLAP—!

"Mr. Kim Yeong-ho, I'm resigning effective today. Tha~nk you for treating me like shit all this time."

"Y-you, you……."

The team leader, no, Mr. Kim Yeong-ho, was so stunned by the sudden turn of events that he could only stammer.

Hyeon-su started toward the door, then turned around and added,

"By the way, even if you got your job through connections, shouldn't you at least study a little? You don't know a damn thing, do you?"

Finally voicing what he'd kept to himself all this time, Hyeon-su delivered a thoroughly mocking smile.

A rush of adrenaline surged through him, as though a decade's worth of indigestion had suddenly disappeared.

Hearing Mr. Kim Yeong-ho hurl all kinds of foul-mouthed abuse behind him was incredibly satisfying.

'Ah, I feel like I'm high on drugs. This feels so fucking good.'

He was genuinely on cloud nine.

After submitting his resignation letter, Hyeon-su immediately packed his belongings at the company and returned home.

By the time he'd finished putting things away, eaten dinner, and sat down in front of his computer, night had already fallen.

It had been six years since dungeons first appeared.

A considerable amount of information about most dungeons was now publicly available. In particular, strategies for approximately 99% of E-Grade dungeons had already been established.

Dungeons were places where one's life was directly at stake.

'If I get cocky just because my skill is powerful, I'll end up dying a miserable death.'

Hyeon-su intended to make thorough use of publicly available information and get everything he could out of it.

'First, the most important thing right now is that part about interference from external factors.'
