Chapter 19: Excalibur Nightmare? by Harem-Fan
Ken Gold, a blonde haired man born in England, just stepped out of the train-station in Kuoh Town...
His yellow-gold eyes scanned the locals coming and going.
To his surprise the local Japanese Humans here didn't look at him differently for being a westerner.
He unbuckled the gold clasps on his black priest robe and revealed his white clothing below.
On his chest hung a broach...
It was his Holy Sword, Excalibur Nightmare, and when unused, the sword can transform into an obsidian brooch shaped like three blooming roses.
He saw some local kids walking by, perhaps leaving high-school, and he held up a picture of Kris Tempest.
With a warm smile, he asked in his best Japanese.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for my lost friend, have you seen him?"
Matsuda has shaved hair and typically wears his Kuoh Academy uniform with an unbuttoned blazer.
"Hmm? Yeah, I've seen a white haired priest with a hot little nun around our school and in the city. How about you, Motohama?"
His best friend Motohama has short, dark brown hair, light brown eyes, wears rimless spectacles, and his Kuoh uniform is the standard black blazer over a white shirt and pants, and wears black shoes.
"Yes, that nun sister's sizes were B34-W22-H31 in... or B83-W55-H81 in cm, and I can't forget such a cute blonde Italian woman, hehe!"
Ken was stupefied listening to these local boys, and can't understand how Brother Kris ended up with a nun?
He ignored the fact this bespectacled guy knew the nun's sizes, and further asked for the locations Kris was seen.
Sadly for Ken, these boys only remembered the white hair of Freed, and as being a dude, can't remember anything but white hair.
On the west side of Kuoh Town, Asia and Freed sat in a small park watching the only path to the abandoned church...
The street name happened to be called Elm Street.
My lip twitched as I thought that I was Freed waiting for the Nightmare on Elm Street.
Asia, clueless to my odd thoughts, points to her smartphone's information about the next Exorcist sent by Valper.
"Ken Gold should have already arrived in Kuoh, why did he not come to the church first? Could he have met with a bad guy first?"
My left arm is around Asia's shoulder while she leans into my side.
I think of the last week or so since the Sitri meeting, and how close Asia has gotten lately.
Our relationship hasn't gone past kissing naked, and I'm hesitant to push her down, due to us both being Human with a higher chance to get her pregnant.
Although I know she would let me have sex with her, I also know Asia is my true and pure love that I don't want to rush.
Asia is definitely the only reason that I've become remotely sane these weeks.
She noticed my heated gaze, and she blushed.
"Freed, if you want to kiss me, can you wait till it gets darker, there are still people out."
Yeah, she really melts my heart.
"Asia Argento... I love you."
Asia's green eyes opened wide, because this was the first time for me to say those words to her.
Asia trembled in my arm and she said with a red face.
"I-I love you Freed."
She closed her eyes and waited to be kissed, so I did.
Mwah~! And just as Asia opened her mouth for me to ravage, we were rudely interrupted by a man's voice...
"Now I get it, the white haired priest wasn't Kris, but Freed Sellzen. To my surprise, it is the excommunicated sister Asia Argento."
I had worked with this guy before, so he and I know each-other, so I said.
"Hehe, It's number 7 in skill, Ken Gold, long time no see... Hey Asia, go and set up a barrier for us, okay."
Asia lost her blush for getting caught kissing, and ran behind the bench to turn on the magic circle we placed before.
Then a colorful barrier was erected, making all normal Humans avoid this area.
Ken Gold neither stopped Asia or instantly started a fight, because he saw the steel ring on my hand.
As I saw Ken activate his Excalibur Nightmare broach form, I chuckled and said.
"Valper sent you guys here, such a blind flock. How does it feel to be betrayed by your superiors? That's one of the reasons I was disgusted with the Church, it's full of hypocrites..."
Ken made a crossing his heart gesture, and said piously.
"There is always a snake in the Garden of Eden, and we each make the choice to do right or wrong. I know there are more good believers than bad ones. Your faith in God isn't pure, Freed. Did you kill Kris?"
Buzz Fwoosh~! The Karma Light Gun erupted from Holy Fire in my left-hand, and the Excalibur Rapidly formed in my right-hand.
"Hohoho~! You're soon going to meet Kris Tempest, so why ask dumb questions... Are you going to preach or fight?"
Now fully revealed, the Excalibur Nightmare is a slender longsword with a sharply-pointed blade, which emits a bright glow in the dark.
It features a glowing pearl-like black orb in its pommel that detects enemies of Heaven.
Ken failed to notice the blade had not lit up to warn him this time.
As I waved my Karma Gun back-and-forth pointed upwards, it rippled the air, and I let the glow of orange light aura make me faster.
"Hey Golden Child, make sure and last longer than Kris Tempest did, hehe."
Flap Flap~! Then black feathers rained down between us, and I heard Asia squeak in surprise in the rear, so Ken and I looked.
A four winged Fallen Angel hottie was hugging Asia from behind, and Raynare had her chin on Asia's shoulder, and said.
"Hey, I'm here to watch the show and protect my little harem sister, so you boys fight. Hey Asia, I heard your confession, you naughty nun, fufu."
I shrugged at Raynare being in a good mood, as Asia has really done her best to make this manipulative but lovable Fallen Angel happy.
Crack~! I rolled my neck making a crackling sound, and put on my bloodthirsty expression.
Both Ken and I took our fighting postures and ran to one another...
In the distance on a rooftop of someone's track home...
Three Devils were watching from the farthest point in the barrier.
Sona's Knight, Tomoe Meguri, has twin-tailed shoulder-length, reddish-brown hair that features swept bangs and a single strand of hair sticking out from the top, also she has brown eyes.
"So the reason we followed that blonde priest was to watch this fight?"
Sona's Rook nodded, she is Yura Tsubasa, a tall girl with shoulder-length blue hair and matching blue eyes, with a tomboyish but beautiful appearance.
"Yeah, the President told us to listen to news about Freed Sellzen, and this guy was asking about a white haired guy. Plus Vice-President Shinra has fought him a couple of times, right VP?"
Tsubaki in front of the two was cold looking, as her one brown and one violet eye watched the fight going on, but she said calmly.
"I wont lose a third time, so learning his fighting style is critical to beating him... Know yourself and your foe and you will never lose."
But Yura and Tomoe behind her could not see her ashamed cheeks.
Even Tsubaki felt complicated about the existence of Freed in her normally firm heart...
Clang Swhoosh Clang~! I was having fun making Ken chase me around the kids playground, and currently we are fighting on the slide as I ran up the ramp quickly.
Just as Ken was chasing me up, he activated the illusion power of Nightmare, and I found myself standing on a half cut pine tree stump?!
Suddenly there were a total of 4 Ken's surrounding me, and it was daylight in the illusion.
"Oh-no, I fell for your dastardly trick, hehe?! What will this helpless gentleman do?"
All the Ken's frowned at how calm I was under the effects of Nightmare, and all of them spoke.
"Why are you so calm, Freed? Not even you can tell where I really am, and your defeat is inevitable, and those two women can't save you as well."
I smirked and pointed my gun at one of the Ken's and said.
"Meh, Even if there are four of you, you still can't beat me, so why worry who is real or not? All I have to do is chop everything around me down, hehehe..."
Bang Fwoosh Boom~! I put a lot of Stamina into this shot and aimed for a random location, while letting my Fallen Angel help to increase my odds!
And as I guessed, as half of the playground was engulfed in bits of Holy Fire, the illusion broke, showing Ken putting out the edges of his robes, while Raynare was flying high up and holding Asia out of harm's way.
I was a bit surprised however, because according to me, I never moved when I was on the slide, but looking at the slide, it was tipped over and I was near the swing-set.
I nodded and realized that only someone with more than two major categories in power can resist some of the illusion powers.
This time Ken didn't put me under, but split himself into five parts and surrounded me again for a final confrontation.
As my orange aura was still rampaging, I just charged the nearest Ken...
Whiff~! And as I expected, the Ken I stabbed was fake, but the smiling Ken had not noticed my Karma Gun pointing to the furthest Ken, and I pulled the trigger while he was happy.
Bang~! The small Holy Fire bullet shot the farthest Ken in the stomach, and a bloody hole the thickness of a baseball was made.
"Ah~! Cough, How?!"
Thud~! As Ken fell to his knees clutching only the front hole on his body, I grinned and said.
"What? Simple, I got lucky... I figured if I attack two of five, my odds were still good, right? Hoho, You look like your bleeding out, say high to Kris for me when you see him, haha!"
Just as Ken passed out and was about to die, Raynare and Asia landed here.
While Asia was healing Ken just enough to not die, Raynare grinned and said.
"That was kinda cheating, right?"
I took the earpiece out of my ear and held it up.
"Heh, How could he know you were my real eyes in the sky. Thanks for getting me out of that damn illusion. If I shot the wrong area, I would be running around like a fucktard, haha."
Raynare activated her magic circle to get ready to leave, and I picked up the Excalibur Nightmare, and broke its connection, like with Rapidly.
Once I did, the Holy Sword shrank into a decorative broach I put on my left chest.
Asia used her magic to restore the damaged playground, and Raynare readied to leave.
I walked to her and gave her a goodbye kiss, and she said.
"Hmm, Did you also notice the Devils watching in the distance?"
I rubbed her cheek gently and just nodded, then stepped back from her magenta teleportation circle.
"See you in bed tonight, I got a fire in me, and I need an outlet."
As Raynare started to vanish, she smirked and said.
"I love it the most when you fight, haha, bye..."
Then both the Exorcist and my wife left...
In the distance, the three Devils also left...
