Chapter 24: Balance Breaker? by Harem-Fan
As I released Tsubaki's lips, which had a slight taste of blood, I licked it from my own lips and knew in my heart what to say...
"Balance Breaker: The Inviolable One!"
Starting from my heart, an almost liquid metal rapidly formed over my body.
As my body was swiftly covered by a silver and black metal, my form solidified to the appearance of a futuristic exoskeleton battle-suit.
Although the black and silver mechanical parts over my body look robotic, I almost feel like there is no metal on my body at all, like it's just a part of my own natural body.
My face was fully covered by a visor of reflective material, and I felt all aspects of my body were enhanced slightly, including Strength, Power, Defense, and Speed. (It's like having a Queen Piece added, or a 10× increase in the power ranking.)
I feel my overall Middle-Class-low strength reached Middle-Class-high if I'm feeling it right.
In an instant, I was aware of all of my new Balance Breakers capabilities...
Firstly, I still have access to all 3 main core abilities of Probability Manipulation, Causality Manipulation, and Absolute Shield/Reflection with no changes, but...
My 2 new abilities expand on these 3 core abilities as follows...
When I activate my Balance Breaker, I can grow a territory outward called Territory of Unreason that costs me more Stamina the larger the area compared to my personal strength.
Inside this Territory of Unreason, I can then use the ability of Unbeatable Control that changes the laws of this world and can exclude myself from the rules.
What this means is that I can use my 3 core abilities on others in the area and not only for myself.
An example of this would be something like saying that "All Fire abilities would be Ice instead", or I could reflect the damage from one other person to its source instead of just myself.
Now there is a limitation to this meaning only one law or core ability can affect others at a time, while I can still defend myself with all core abilities.
But what makes the changes in the laws of the world wrong is the fact I can ignore it, like with the example of all fire becoming ice, I can still use fire normally unlike all others...
Even Gods are subject partially to my laws inside the domain!
Naturally laws are things like gravity, healing heals, fire burns, etc...
Now with my Balance Breaker fully deployed, everyone was watching my actions in weariness, even the thief Kiba...
When I speak, my voice sounds like it's modified by a voice changer to sound more mechanical, but anyone can tell it's me.
[Raynare, take this Devil and the Exorcist to Asia, leave the last two foes to me... Territory of Unreason!]
Thrum~! As my words ended, everyone felt the entire space around me ripple outward as an invisible force covered the entire park area.
Flap Flap~! Raynare flew to me, and quickly took the feinted and dying Tsubaki, and she said to me with a tone of a cheated wife.
"Tonight, tell me everything, humph."
I knew that Ray was only mad to be in the dark, as she encourages Asia around me, or it's just because everyone loves Asia?

Clang Clatter~! As I activated my law, the dumbfounded Kiba who just picked up the now visible Excalibur Transparency with a pair of swords he made to flee, all fell from his dumbfounded hands.
The reason Linda had not attacked yet was because of not knowing what my Balance Breaker could do yet, so she was just readying her attack magic circle for when Raynare left.
Whoosh Flap~! And with no sword in Kiba's hand, he couldn't stop Raynare from createing a rope made of light to tow the unconscious Rick Lee away into the distance...
Now only a weaponless Kiba, an angry Linda, and a cocky me was left, so I joked and moved.

Buzz Buzz~! As I ran very fast at Kiba, he tried creating a new sword while I drew out Excalibur Nightmare, but his sword when formed just slipped from his hand helplessly!

As I slashed Kiba, I reverted my Nightmare back, and grabbed the Excalibur Transparency on the ground, frustrating Kiba more.
As I used my power of Causality Manipulation to become the owner of Excalibur Transparency, I joked to piss Kiba off more.

As this is the first time I've opened my new Balance Breaker, I could tell my Stamina was draining rapidly, so I slashed at Kiba, forcing him to leap away, as I was charging at Linda, who was getting up.
Swoosh Bang~! Just as I made an invisible overhead swing at Linda, she quickly erected a magic defensive circle, but it was quickly cracking, so she added more layers...
Under my helmet, my eyes opened wide seeing what Linda was pulling out from her bra, a tiny vial I saw during the Rating Game Rias vs Riser battle... Phoenix Tears!
I decided that stopping Kiba from using a sword was pointless, and changed my power's law...
[Unbeatable Control: Phoenix Tears have reversed effects!]
I almost made a mistake and claimed all healing would be reversed, but then I thought Asia might be in my domain, and she would've killed Tsubaki or Rick, phew!
Gulp Sizzle~! Linda had not felt my Unbeatable Control like Kiba had, and was unaware of the life threatening danger my words caused... and the reverse of healing is harm.
Thud~! But fortunately or unfortunately, the Phoenix Tears cannot bring the dead back to life, so its reverse could not fully kill her.

And with my loss of Stamina, all rain could not penetrate or fall within my territory inside this boundary barrier, and now Kiba couldn't more easily see my invisible form!
Slice Slice Sizzle~! Then suddenly on both of Kiba's thighs, there were a pair of shallow sword marks with smoking black gas as he could not defend himself.
Naturally I'm just crippling this nutcase and not killing him, or a war really will start, otherwise Linda would've been killed by me.
Kiba was in so much pain, and didn't want to give up, so I said to him...

I silently ran to where Asia should be, as I was worried about the Sitri arriving, and while moving, I sucked in my new Holy Sword into my Sacred Gear...
As I rushed out of the woods, I saw what was currently going on...
Raynare was protecting Asia, who was currently healing Rick Lee just enough to not let him die.
And Tsubaki was now up and standing with Sona, Saji, Aika, and Momo who came with their King on an emergency teleport.
When the Sitri Peerage saw a mechanical man of silver and black running over, they were wary, so I said to the group.
[Hah, Seems everyone is still alive. Ray, get us outta here, I can't hold on much longer.]
As I stood with my group, Sona was a bit surprised to see my Balance Breaker form.
And as the magenta light magic circle was lighting up, I could no longer hold my form, and the armor started to fade into motes of silvery light, revealing me underneath, but...
When everyone saw my exhausted form, they saw how much blood covered me from my gunshot wound down my body, but then suddenly.
Fwoosh Patter Patter~! With my territory gone, the rainfall came full-force in the area again like magic.
As I was blacking-out from the Stamina loss, I felt Asia hold me from hitting the ground...
Just as Freed fainted from both Stamina and blood-loss, Raynare's teleport circle carried Rick, Asia, Raynare, and Freed to an unknown destination...
Sona looked at the area where the battle took place and said.
"Tsubaki, as you were a part of this battle, we need to restore the place before we leave, and clean up the mess left by that man."
"Yes President."
Sona saw Tsubaki's strange look at the place the Grigori had been, and handed Tsubaki a new pair of glasses she had.
This action broke Tsubaki's daze, because Tsubaki had been a bit out of it, and seeing that mechanical form reminded her of what happened just before.
While Kiba had left the scene, no one noticed from the bushes that a Youkai had crept out and looked at the near dead Devil...
[Bitch, you were the one to start all of this, die...]
Then in anger she pounced on it with its paw, killing it and scattering its body to dust.
And with the anti Human barrier being down, there was no recording on how Linda died or who did it...
When I woke up, I saw it was daylight already...
I found myself laying in my bed with a black-haired beauty lying beside me.
"Asia dear, Freed is awake now, bring the food, fufu."
I was wearing a tee-shirt and shorts, while Ray was wearing bluejeans and a purple top, she yelled to the opened bedroom door, and a voice answered.
[Great, I'm bringing lunch now.]
I scratched my head and said...
"Looks like I was asleep for half a day, huh?"
Raynare nodded and said.
"Azazel said not to worry because it was normal for over taxing a Balance Breaker on it's first use, and the blood-loss just made it more taxing. Asia healed you right away at the hospital, and Azazel examined you to make sure you were alright, then we brought you home."
Mwah~! I kissed this Fallen Angel beauty and she narrowed her eyes.
"Okay Freed, now that you're fine, spill everything about this Devil Tsubaki Shinra, or Asia and I will put you on the couch while we sleep alone."
As Asia walked in with a lap tray with food, she also nodded to Raynare's threat, like they planned this interrogation. (They did, jealousy is a bitch.)
So helplessly, while Asia fed me, I told them everything about Tsubaki, and how she awakened my Sacred Gear... Well not the mission part.
So after the lunch and tale, the envy and jealousy monster in both women's hearts was reduced a lot, but not eliminated.
I'm happy to report I slept in the bed with my lovers tonight...
