Eventually, another night arrived.

The forest outside was shrouded in complete darkness, filled with a quiet stillness that made the entire world feel asleep.

Charlotte and I were already lying on our bed, preparing to rest our bodies.Full novel: Dying Alongside My Wife on Earth, We Were Reincarnated — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The room had been darkened, leaving only the faint silver glow of moonlight slipping through the gaps of the window.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

A soft and hesitant knock suddenly broke the silence of the night.

My vampire ears twitched instinctively.

Charlotte and I turned our heads toward the door at the same time.

Slowly, the wooden door opened slightly, revealing a small figure standing there.

Both of her hands tightly hugged a sleeping pillow that was almost as big as her own body.

Her fox ears drooped downward, revealing the fear written clearly across her adorable face.

“T Tuan… Nyonya…” she whispered weakly, her trembling voice barely audible.

Her eyes were filled with tears as she looked at us in the darkness.

“It’s so dark outside… I… I’m scared to sleep alone. Can I sleep here with you?”

Seeing such an adorable and helpless sight, both Charlotte’s and my defenses completely collapsed without a trace.

“It’s okay. Come here. You can sleep in the middle, alright?”

The little girl’s round eyes immediately sparkled with happiness.

Using her tiny feet, she quickly climbed onto the bed and lay down right in the middle between Charlotte and me.

However, the moment she found her position, she immediately turned toward Charlotte and wrapped her arms tightly around my wife’s waist, hugging her affectionately.

Watching that scene from the right side of the bed, I crossed my arms over my chest and pretended to pout.

“That’s unfair,” I complained softly while giving her a playful glance.

“Why are you only hugging Charlotte? Aren’t you going to hug me too?”

The little girl lifted her head slightly, her adorable face peeking out from Charlotte’s embrace.

While tightening her hug around Charlotte even more, she answered with complete innocence.

“Because… Nyonya smells really nice…”

I froze for a moment.

Reflexively, I raised my own sleeve and sniffed my clothes in confusion.

“Seriously? Do I smell bad or something? Is that why you don’t want to hug me?” I muttered, genuinely puzzled.

Seeing my ridiculous behavior, Charlotte immediately failed to hold back her laughter.

Her beautiful and cheerful laughter filled our warm bedroom, creating a melody of happiness that echoed through the quiet night.

Before I could become the target of more teasing because of my supposed body odor, I cleared my throat and quickly changed the subject.

“Ah, right. Now that I think about it… you still don’t have a name, do you?” I said while looking directly into her clear, round eyes in the darkness.

Charlotte stopped laughing softly and returned to gently stroking the little fox girl’s ears, which moved rhythmically under her touch.

“Ryuu… how about we name her Yuno?” Charlotte suggested as she looked at me with hopeful eyes.

“It means a beautiful blessing.”

“Yuno… That’s a good name. I agree,” I replied with a confident nod and a relaxed grin.

Hearing the new name given to her, the little fox girl, who was now officially named Yuno, smiled with pure happiness.

Her fox ears stood upright with joy, and her fluffy tail moved excitedly beneath our warm blanket.

Charlotte kissed the top of Yuno’s head affectionately before whispering gently.

“Now you have a name, Yuno. Starting tonight and from now on, don’t call us Tuan and Nyonya anymore, okay?”

Yuno blinked her round eyes, looking slightly confused despite her happiness.

“Then… what should Yuno call you?”

I smiled warmly, reached out my hand, and gently patted the top of her head.

“Call us Father and Mother. From this moment onward, this place is your home, and we are your parents.”

Upon hearing those words, warm tears of happiness slowly formed at the corners of Yuno’s round eyes.

She nodded enthusiastically before burying her adorable face into Charlotte’s chest once again, hugging her much tighter than before.

“Hmm… Mama… Papa…” Yuno answered in a small voice filled with endless gratitude.

Under the quiet sky of this Isekai night, our humble cabin was finally filled with the warmth and light of a newly completed family.
