[School Days route activated.
Since I’m writing the story, I’ll occasionally use power to mess with Makoto and the blonde, the focus is satisfying brutality.] [Regarding the three girls (tentative): to challenge the harmonious garden without missing a single one, aside from later curing Katsura Kotonoha’s anemia, I won’t use any fantastical methods.] (Friends who’ve played the various routes or watched it know how difficult Katsura Kotonoha is to handle, consider this a small cheat for myself.
Suggestions are welcome.) [Note: Katsura Kotonoha specializes in iaido, not kendo!] …
Li Ancheng released Asia and chuckled softly.
“Asia, would you like to see with your own eyes…
a miracle that surpasses healing itself?” “A miracle…?” Asia stared at him, face flushed, expression blank.
Li Ancheng didn’t explain.
He turned and walked to the bedside.
He looked down at the elf girl sleeping quietly on the bed.
Beta, huh.
Alpha’s efficiency really is something.
Asia’s puzzled gaze followed him over.
Li Ancheng’s right hand came to rest gently above Beta’s forehead.
Beneath his palm, the Law of Time began to flow.
The change erupted in an instant.
Asia clapped both hands over her mouth, eyes going wide with disbelief.
The elf girl on the bed was suddenly wrapped in a layer of soft, luminous radiance.
And then, right before Asia’s eyes…
Growth.
Not gradual.
Not gentle.
Like footage fast-forwarded by hundreds of millions of times.
The slender body stretched longer.
Her height, which had only reached the middle of the bed, extended all the way to the foot of it in just a few breaths.
The clothes wrapped around her small frame pulled tight as the curves beneath them swelled with startling speed.
Her features matured.
Her lashes grew thick and curled.
The childish shape of her lips filled out, gaining definition and contour.
The entire process was over as fast as a hallucination.
This astonishing transformation completed in under 5 seconds.
The figure lying on the bed now was an elf beauty, full figure, face exquisitely refined, utterly unrecognizable from the little girl she had been moments before.
“Th-this…
this is…
what…” Asia’s voice had completely lost its composure.
This…
This was tampering with time.
Reshaping growth.
Overturning the natural course of life itself.
In her understanding of faith, a god might be able to heal.
To create.
But so directly.
So domineeringly.
Instantly rewriting a living being’s entire stage of life…
This exceeded her comprehension of miracles entirely.
It could no longer even be called a miracle.
This was nearly…
Usurping the very authority over life itself.
Alpha chuckled softly.
“Asia, this is Brother’s power.
I’ve experienced it too.” Li Ancheng’s palm shifted.
The Law of Darkness rose from it, wisps of it threading into Beta’s body one by one.
“The power of Laws transcends magic.
Since you are of the Demon Court, let me rewrite it for you.” Seconds later.
Li Ancheng withdrew his hand and waved, a black robe materializing to drape over her.
“Alpha, when she wakes, give her the name Beta.” Alpha smiled and nodded.
“Yes, Brother.” “Mr.
Ancheng!” Asia rose and rushed to his side, voice bright with agitation.
“What you said yesterday — about being able to resurrect the dead — is that true?” “At the very least, I can do it.” Li Ancheng smiled and ruffled her hair.
“I’m off to school.
If it gets stuffy at home, go out for a walk.
Just ask Tsubaki for money.” Asia watched his figure vanish, then turned to Alpha, her excitement still running hot.
“Miss Alpha!
C-can I learn this…
will Mr.
Ancheng teach me?!” Alpha thought it over carefully, then explained in a gentle voice.
“You’re human.
You can’t bear power this immense…
but you could try physical training.
Build up your constitution first.
Brother will find a way later.” Asia went still for a moment.
Something deep inside her was quietly, silently reshaping.
Not the collapse of faith.
The metamorphosis of it.
From a pure-white ideal, toward a resilient reality.
She had taken her first step.
She spun around and sprinted upstairs.
Alpha blinked.
“Where are you going?” “Making breakfast!
Going to the park!
Training!” …
Kuoh Fusion University.
Morning light, clean and even.
At the school gate.
Students flowed in by twos and threes, and the air carried the particular restlessness and vitality that only belonged to youth.
Li Ancheng stood beside the gatepost, quietly watching the stream of people pass.
The feeling of youth.
How many ages had it been since he’d last felt anything like this…
He took a slow breath, pulled out his phone, and dialed Boiman’s number.
It connected almost before the call had fully gone through.
“Master!” Li Ancheng cut straight to it.
“I can attend classes in the Literature Department, right?” “Of course!” Not a trace of hesitation in Boiman’s reply.
“The Boiman family already has investments in Kuoh Fusion University.
I’ve spoken with the principal about your situation.
Just treat it as killing time — you can freely choose courses in either department!” “Good.” Li Ancheng moved to hang up.
“…One more thing.” As though he’d just remembered something completely trivial.
“Dye that blonde hair of yours black when you get the chance.” “Eh?” “Otherwise I keep getting the urge to beat you up.” “…” Two seconds of silence on the other end.
Then, with utmost deference: “Yes, understood!” The call ended.
Li Ancheng pocketed his phone.
His gaze drifted toward the old school building behind the main teaching block.
The corner of his mouth lifted, just slightly.
…
Literature Department, Year 1, Class A.
The air in the classroom had been quietly warming since a certain someone arrived.
“That’s actually Kiba-senpai from the Supernatural Studies Department!” “He’s so handsome!
That gentle, refined air he has!” Suppressed squeals and hushed whispers wove through the classroom in equal measure.
Standing near the podium was none other than second-year Supernatural Studies student, Kiba Yuto.
At the moment, though, his attention was fixed entirely on the boy in front of him.
“Ise-kun.” Kiba Yuto leaned forward slightly.
“Why won’t you join the Supernatural Studies Department?
The resources, the faculty, the possibilities for your future — all of it far outstrips what the Literature Department can offer.
Our president can cover your tuition.” “I already said I’m not going!” Hyoudou Issei sat in his seat, lip curled with impatience.
His gaze drifted, almost against his will, toward the window-side seat behind him and to the right.
Katsura Kotonoha sat there.
Long black hair cascading down like a waterfall, her profile serene and lovely.
She was reading her textbook, seemingly untouched by all the noise around her.
“What would an ordinary human do in the Supernatural Studies Department?” Hyoudou Issei pulled his eyes away and waved a dismissive hand.
“Really not interested!” “But, Ise-kun…” Kiba Yuto leaned in, lowering his voice.
“You’re not an ordinary person.” “Not going, not going!
Are you deaf?!” Hyoudou Issei’s voice jumped up an octave, drawing looks from half the class.
Like a cat with its tail stepped on.
“Senpai, I’m really not going.
Thanks, though.” He coughed awkwardly, and that’s when he caught it.
Ito Makoto, clutching an exquisitely wrapped little box, was quietly creeping toward Katsura Kotonoha’s seat.
That bastard.
Hyoudou Issei shot to his feet.
“Makoto!” One long stride forward.
His arm came down heavy across Ito Makoto’s shoulders, voice ringing out loud enough for the whole class to hear.
“How was the shopping trip with Saionji-san yesterday?!
I saw you two on the commercial street, laughing and chatting away, real close, huh!” Ito Makoto went rigid.
The box nearly slipped from his fingers.
He threw a panicked glance at Katsura Kotonoha and rushed to explain.
“Y-you’re talking nonsense!
Yesterday I, ” His words died in his throat.
His gaze snagged on the classroom doorway like a hook, and held.
“Hss…” Someone pulled in a sharp breath.
Then a girl’s voice, too excited to contain itself, broke open across the room.
“H-he’s so handsome!” “And tall!” Like a switch being thrown.
Every head in the classroom turned at once toward the figure who had just stepped through the door.
The gentle smile on Kiba Yuto’s face froze solid.
What, A palpitation struck him without warning, seizing his heart in a tight fist.
Not pressure.
Not a fluctuation of demonic power.
More like…
A wisp of aura that had slipped loose, without intent, from something that existed at a higher order entirely.
And it made him, a reincarnated devil, instinctively want to recoil.
He forced his eyes to the doorway.
The one who had entered was a boy in a brand-new uniform.
Black hair.
Posture straight and unhurried.
Features handsome in a way that had an edge to it, something almost aggressive in the impression it left.
Li Ancheng walked into the classroom, his gaze moving in a calm, unhurried sweep across the room.
The noise, the stray thoughts, the simmering restlessness of a room full of teenagers.
He took it all in.
Then his gaze settled on a seat by the window.
A girl sat there quietly.
Short black hair, shoulder-length.
A pair of calm, still eyes peeking out from beneath her bangs.
A simple red ribbon tied in her hair.
Kiyoura Setsuna.
[Image, definitely claiming her, the petite type/.] Li Ancheng crossed the room and stopped at the empty seat beside Kiyoura Setsuna.
“Hello, classmate.” Kiyoura Setsuna seemed to surface from somewhere far inside herself, lifting her head with a slightly dazed look.
“I’m a new transfer student.
Li Ancheng.” His eyes held a quiet smile.
“Mind if I sit here?” ➤ Next: Katsura Kotoneha: He… Knows Iaido Too?
