“Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.”

Luo Yunmian moved as if carried by the wind, head down as she hurried toward the corridor leading to the restroom.

With a dull “thud,” she collided head-on, immediately wincing in pain with a sharp “hiss.” Frowning, she raised her eyes to see a middle-aged man reeking of strong alcohol.Full novel: Entangled Passion: Beijing to Hong Kong — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Xue Zhiqian was just about to open his mouth and bellow angrily, but the moment his gaze fell on Luo Yunmian, his eyes suddenly lit up like a hungry wolf spotting prey.

His eyes brazenly swept over Luo Yunmian from head to toe, filled with lewdness, before he grinned.

“Well, well, beautiful, in such a hurry to throw yourself at me? Care for a drink?”

Luo Yunmian felt extremely uncomfortable under such a blatant stare.

“Sorry, I’m not here to drink with anyone.”

After saying this, Luo Yunmian tried to sidestep past Young Master Xue, but he was quick and grabbed her arm tightly.

His breath reeked of alcohol as he blew it in her face, his words dripping with arrogance.

Luo Yunmian struggled with all her might but couldn’t break free. Anxious and furious, she simply raised her bag and swung it with all her strength.

Xue Zhiqian staggered back a step from the sudden blow.

“Oh, so feisty? But I like it!”

Instead of getting angry, he grew even more interested, the fat on his face trembling with a twisted smile.

Luo Yunmian trembled with rage, her eyes wide open. Seizing the moment, she abruptly lifted her foot and kicked with all her might toward his crotch.

“Ouch!”

He let out a sharp cry, instinctively covering his lower body with both hands. His face instantly turned pale as he curled up and slowly collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.

Just then, Fu Yanchi and Zhuang Bo hurried over.

Fu Yanchi’s eyes quickly scanned Luo Yunmian, and seeing she was unharmed, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief, his previously furrowed brow relaxing imperceptibly.

The latter, however, looked as if he had witnessed something unbelievable, his eyes wide with astonishment, one hand involuntarily covering his mouth as his gaze shifted back and forth between Luo Yunmian and the man on the ground.

Wow, such a gentle-looking beautiful sister, who would have thought she could be so fierce!

Looking at the area the man on the ground was clutching, Zhuang Bo couldn’t help but shudder. Just thinking about it made him feel the pain.

“Call someone to take him away.”

Fu Yanchi’s tone was casual, but to Zhuang Bo’s ears, it was even more terrifying than seeing Luo Yunmian kick the man.

For a moment, he felt a pang of sympathy for the man on the ground. Offending this crown prince meant his life was essentially over.

Luo Yunmian was also momentarily surprised to see the two together, but then she remembered that the detective agency had been introduced by Fu Yanchi, so it was normal for them to know each other.

While the two were dealing with the situation, she took a few steps forward. Just as she pushed open the restroom door and was about to close it, a tall figure blocked the doorway.

Luo Yunmian instinctively took a step back, only to find her back pressed against the wall with nowhere to retreat.

Fu Yanchi leisurely closed the door, then placed one hand firmly against the wall, trapping Luo Yunmian securely in the narrow space between him and the wall.

“Sister Mianmian, what are you afraid of?”

Fu Yanchi tilted his head slightly, his gaze fixed intently on Luo Yunmian with a faint, ambiguous smile.

“I, I didn’t.”

“Didn’t? Then why did you run as soon as you saw me?”

Luo Yunmian retorted nervously, “I really needed to use the restroom.”

The young man let out a soft chuckle, his teasing gaze growing even more pronounced.

He leaned his entire body against the door, tilting his head slightly and shifting his posture with a casual movement, the mocking smile still hanging on his face, dripping with sarcasm.

“Then, Sister Mianmian, don’t hold it in too long. I’ll guard the door for you.”

“You’re shameless!”

Luo Yunmian flushed with a mix of embarrassment and anger, her cheeks turning red as she glared at him furiously.

“Sister Mianmian, is there any part of you I haven’t seen before?”

Fu Yanchi paid no mind to her anger, the teasing glint in his eyes only growing stronger.

“Stop talking.”

Luo Yunmian’s chest heaved with rage, a tangled mix of humiliation and fury swirling inside her. For over twenty years, she had lived a disciplined, rule-abiding life. Even that night of passion, driven by her desire for revenge against Fu Tingshen, had required every ounce of courage she possessed.

Now, driven by stubbornness, she felt a reckless urge to throw caution to the wind.

“I’m not here to fool around. I came to find a man. What’s wrong with that?”

In that moment, all traces of her usual gentleness and restraint had vanished, swept away by her anger.

“Sister Mianmian, you’d settle for a man of that caliber?”

Luo Yunmian remained silent.

After a long pause, Fu Yanchi finally spoke again.

“It’s fine to go out and have fun, but Sister Mianmian’s taste seems to have gotten even worse since you started.”

Fu Yanchi deliberately leaned closer, his warm breath lightly brushing against Luo Yunmian’s ear. The sensation felt almost electric, causing her body to shudder involuntarily.

In an instant, memories of that night with Fu Yanchi flooded her mind uncontrollably—his scorching breath, his burning lips, and those hands with their distinct, elegant knuckles. The images seemed to loop endlessly in her head, as if someone had pressed a button to replay them on an infinite loop.

Luo Yunmian felt an inexplicable heat rise to her face, a blush creeping quietly across her cheeks. Flustered, she avoided Fu Yanchi’s gaze, her heartbeat quickening uncontrollably.

She thought she must be drunk.

She could clearly sense their breaths mingling, the air between them growing thick and heavy.

“Has that man ever treated Sister Mianmian like this?”

A low chuckle sounded from above her.

His slender, elegant hand had somehow found its way to her waist, its grip firm and unyielding as it gently pulled her closer.

Fu Yanchi’s eyes sparkled with a flickering light. From the moment he caught that fleeting glimpse of her in the bar, a thought had suddenly taken root in his mind—he wanted to press her slender, soft waist into his own body.

It was just as soft as he remembered.

Taking advantage of her momentary daze from the sudden intimacy, his other hand slowly caressed her cheek before he leaned in and lightly brushed his lips against hers.

“Sister Mianmian…”

Fu Yanchi’s voice was hoarse, laced with a hint of temptation.

“You’re… reacting…”

Luo Yunmian was momentarily stunned by his words. She felt utterly humiliated, unable to believe she had crumbled so completely in front of him.

“I… It’s just a physiological…”

As soon as she spoke, she realized her voice carried a shyness she found unbelievable.

Not wanting to lose the upper hand, she spoke again.

“Then…”

A low chuckle echoed in response.

Fu Yanchi’s gaze held a hint of probing as he carefully stared into the woman’s eyes, which were misty with lingering tenderness and tinged with a touch of reproach.

Seeing that she did not strongly resist, he cast aside all hesitation, suddenly leaned down, and deepened the kiss.

Luo Yunmian was kissed until her breathing grew rapid and her head spun. She reached out to push him, but he instead grasped her hand, pressing it against the wall beside her ear in an interlocked, ten-fingered hold.

“Sister Mianmian, I want you again…”
