In my current state, teetering on the edge of an emotional breakdown, I wanted to thank the heavens, the earth, and the newcomer for speaking to me in such a “girl-crazy” flirting tone.

Little did I expect that when I turned around, it was an acquaintance and a man who was the source of significant conflict between me and my future wife.

Without a word, I closed the distance in two or three strides, grabbed him by the collar, and was just about to pull him forcefully out of the car to do… this and that to him.Full novel: Every Day, I Want to Snatch Them Away from the White Moonlight — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The man grabbed my hands, his smile widening into something unscrupulous as he spoke playfully.

“Babe, I know you missed me, but I didn’t think you missed me this much. If I’d known you felt this way, why would I have waited until now to come over?”

Utterly shameless this was something I hadn’t anticipated.

Back at the milk tea shop, was it because I held some awe for his status as a store manager?

He looked quite decent back then; how could he be such a flirt out here?

I increased the pressure in my grip, pulling him closer to me, and spoke rather rudely: “Screw off. You don’t want your dignity, but I want mine, okay?”

Most importantly, He Shi, I don’t care if you flirt to the ends of the earth elsewhere, but speaking to me like this right at the entrance where my wife works? Are you trying to get me killed?

I haven’t even caught my wife yet; if you scare him away, where am I supposed to go to cry?

Perhaps I was being too rough and was choking him slightly, as He Shi’s neck quickly began to redden, but this guy was truly a freak.

Even so, he didn’t restrain himself; his words were even more infuriating.

“Babe, I know it’s been so long and you’re dying to have a ‘clash’ with me, but we’re out in public. Let’s find a secluded spot before we get into it, alright?”

After saying that, he actually gave me a wink.

My god, what a character…

Hearing this, my first instinct was to let go. I released him as if holding onto him any longer would truly imply I had some sort of designs on him.

Then I had a second thought: why should I?

Fine, you like it secluded?

Very well…

I let go of my hand and looked at He Shi, who was panting slightly from my previous restraint.

Without giving him much chance to catch his breath, I reached out again.

Shi backed away for a second but moved back extremely fast, likely gambling that I wouldn’t do anything harmful to him in a public place.

He was right; I wouldn’t be that uncivilized, okay?

If I’m going to get hands-on, I should pick a better location, right?

How dare you set your sights on your Young Master?

Under his expectant gaze, I slowly placed my hand on his collar, straightened it out, and finally patted his shoulders with both hands.

“Sure thing. Let’s find a good place and have a proper ‘exchange’.”

As soon as those words came out, as expected, He Shi was a bit surprised.

I raised an eyebrow and spoke jokingly: “What, don’t dare?”

The latter part of my tone was a bit provocative.

What a joke. Without even investigating the situation, you dare to flirt with me?

You clearly don’t know what I’m made of.

Could someone raised in the wild by that big rogue, Comrade You Qian, be some well-behaved, etiquette-abiding person?

Believe it or not, I certainly don’t believe it myself.

He Shi was someone who did things in a big way. Upon hearing this, he didn’t hesitate much and quickly leaned in.

His hand brushed against my arm. “Since Baby Quan is calling for me, I’ll go through fire and water, even if it means my liver and brains are smeared on the ground…”

Tsk tsk tsk. Screw you.

“Baby Quan”? Even my wife has never called me that.

I’ll make sure you know exactly what you should be calling your Young Master in a moment.

With that, I led He Shi to a sparsely populated alley near the company.

As soon as he followed me in, I spun around quickly, and with a sweep of my long leg, I tripped him to the ground.

Truly, lust makes one brave; with such an unsteady lower half, he still dared to follow me in.

Since you delivered yourself to my doorstep, I won’t be polite.

I sat astride him and started to beat him.

Shi covered his head and didn’t resist much, just protecting himself. One look and it was clear his combat effectiveness wasn’t very strong.

The one-sided slaughter made this battle which I thought might be decent—quite boring.

After a couple of punches, I stopped my movements.

To my surprise, just as I was about to get up, He Shi released the arms protecting his face and spoke.

“Babe, to hit is to be close, to scold is to love… don’t stop…”

What kind of creature is this? He’s a genuine masochist.

How can someone be so shameless…

I was even a bit curious about how someone like this managed to become friends with my future wife.

Mo An doesn’t look like a person who is very warm toward others.

Especially when it comes to playing matchmaker; it doesn’t seem like his style of doing things at all.

Yet Mo An did exactly that for this man with a masochistic constitution.

How good must their relationship be to do that?

At the thought that Mo An and the man before me might have something unspeakable going on, I almost lost control of myself.

I squeezed He Shi’s neck and spoke in a cold voice.

“Tell me, what is your relationship with Mo An?”

He Shi was clearly stunned, then looked at me with surprise without saying a word.

Instead, it was I who felt a bit unnatural under that gaze.

“What are you looking at? Are you sick?”

Fine, I was actually feeling a bit flustered being stared at by him. What the hell?

“I’m looking at how handsome you are, of course.”

Damn it. As I thought, if I don’t give this guy a good beating, he won’t be able to speak properly.

“Fists like the wind” would describe me at this moment, because I didn’t want to hear the nonsense coming out of He Shi’s mouth.

Unexpectedly, my wrist was actually caught by He Shi.

Was he letting me win just now? That was my first thought.

Because of the years I spent pitting my wits and courage against my dad, my combat ability is proportional to my age. Furthermore, because my dad’s business wasn’t so smooth in the early days, I was specifically trained in these areas for self-defense…

Just as I was preparing to sharpen my focus for a fierce struggle with He Shi, He Shi spoke up without a care for his life.

“Babe, let’s agree first: don’t hit the face.”

What does it feel like when anger turns into a laugh? I think I understood it a bit at that moment.

This person is an alien; I cannot communicate with him on the same frequency.

I twisted my palm, used a bit of clever force to press on a tendon in He Shi’s arm, and He Shi immediately released me as desired.

I rubbed my wrist, looking like I was bracing for a fight, and spoke as if sentencing He Shi to death.

“Fine. Since you care so much about this face, let me give it some ‘love’.”

He Shi looked at me with mock surprise: “Babe, no way. You wouldn’t be that heartless, would you?”

I rarely bother to argue with such a freak. Since you want to provoke me, then bear the brunt of my Young Master’s wrath.

I still gave him a few punches, ensuring there was no blood but enough pain to give him a lasting memory.

It wasn’t a deep-seated grudge; as the saying goes, “one does not strike a smiling face.”

I’d vented my anger, and I couldn’t take it too far.

Our ancestors taught us to “leave a line in everything you do, so it’s easier to meet again in the future.”

After five or six hits, I stopped my hand, got up, and left.

He Shi immediately scrambled up from the ground, chased after me, and grabbed my clothes.

“Babe, are you done?”

I didn’t want to deal with him. Who is this guy? He’s like a street thug; I have no need to cooperate with his performance.

Ignoring him was the greatest injury I could inflict.

“Was that… so… fast?”

How could I endure this?

If this can be endured, what cannot?

I turned around and grabbed him by the collar. “Are you sick? Or do you want to go to the hospital?”

“If I were sick, I’d certainly have to go to the hospital, but I’m not, eh…” He Shi was still looking at me with a smile, although his dirt-covered face looked a bit ridiculous at the moment.

I interrupted him. “Get lost. I’m in a bad mood today, don’t mess with me…”

I really was in a bad mood. If it weren’t for the thought that He Shi might have a good relationship with Mo An, would I have stopped like this today?

Absolutely not.

But my rare kindness couldn’t stop someone from constantly wanting to step forward and seek death.

If I can’t provoke him, can’t I at least hide?

I let go of his collar and walked out quickly.

Who knew that He Shi would be like a piece of dog-skin plaster? I simply couldn’t shake him off.

He followed me all the way to a bar I frequently visit.

Before I met Mo An, I was considered a major patron here. Everyone from the bar managers down to the bartenders and waiters knew me quite well.

As soon as I walked in, many people greeted me. A marketing manager I was quite familiar with walked over.

“Young Master You, you haven’t been here in so long? Did you find some other fun place?”

This manager was named A-Biao. He was good at everything, but he loved to joke—especially since I have a good personality and he knows I won’t get angry, so he often talks nonsense with me.

To my surprise, I felt a sliver of solace at this moment.

After all, a familiar environment and relatively familiar people provide a sense of security.

Here, I am the boss, and there aren’t so many worries.

“What are you talking about? I’ve been busy lately. Let’s go, the old spot.”

“You got it, Young Master You. This way.” A-Biao turned around, preparing to lead me to a booth.

Suddenly, someone threw an arm around my shoulder, and then I heard He Shi’s punchable voice.

“Young Master You, this isn’t very nice. You just came off of my body and now you’re out looking for other men? Am I unable to satisfy you?”

What?

Is this guy speaking human language?

Fine, I did just come off of his body, but is the “coming off” I did the same thing as the “coming off” he’s talking about now?

Those who can survive in a bar environment are all sharp as tacks.

A-Biao didn’t say anything; he just stepped back a bit and quietly watched the situation unfold.

I reached out and pinched He Shi’s chin. “He Shi, I’m telling you: stop baiting me. I’m angry, and the consequences are very serious.”

He Shi seemed to never know what anger was; he even reached out to stroke the back of my hand.

“Babe, if you’re angry, play with me. Whatever makes you happy. I won’t let you go out looking for others.”

“He Shi, I’m a damn stranger to you. What nonsense are you talking?”

After saying that, I flicked my hand away, and He Shi’s face tilted to the side along with my movement.

I gave A-Biao a look from a distance and then turned to leave.

Just as I turned, someone grabbed the corner of my clothes. I glanced back, and sure enough, it was He Shi.

Then I heard him speak in a bashful voice.

“You were already on top of me and did this and that to me… how could we possibly still be strangers…”
