Hearing this, the little tyrant only thrashed more violently. Judging by Chong Yin’s tone, it sounded as though he meant to devour him whole at any moment, there was no way he’d stay obedient at a time like this. He needed to flee for his life.
Seeing the kitten refuse to cooperate, Chong Yin’s patience wore thin. He reached out with his other hand and seized the kitten’s flailing hind legs, pinning both little legs firmly in his grip, leaving the kitten utterly unable to move.
Unable to struggle any further, Bai Xiaonian could only turn his tearful eyes toward Chong Yin.
Only now did Chong Yin seem to understand the reason for the kitten’s frantic reaction. He let out a long sigh. “I’m bathing you, not trying to murder you. Do you truly see me as some bloodthirsty demon lord who slaughters without a second thought, at any given moment?”
At those words, the kitten nodded his little head furiously, not even caring if he shook it clean off.
Chong Yin clicked his tongue, his expression growing even more sour.
The kitten disliked water, and even understanding now that Chong Yin wasn’t trying to end his tiny cat life, he still struggled to escape. Chong Yin’s face hardened, his voice turning cold. “Stop squirming. I’m bathing you, if you refuse, you can sleep outside tonight.”
The kitten felt both furious and utterly helpless. Chong Yin, after all, was the same man who’d once tossed him into the Beast Garden to be torn apart by a black panther, there was no doubt he’d just as easily toss him out into the cold to freeze.
After weighing his options, Bai Xiaonian decided to endure it for now.
And so the kitten in Chong Yin’s grip went still. His body remained instinctively tense, but he no longer made a sound or struggled, allowing himself to be handled like a lifeless little doll.
Chong Yin had no idea what tantrum the cat was throwing this time. His own temper wasn’t the best either, and he had no interest in getting to the bottom of it, he simply found this little tyrant of a pet exhausting to deal with.
At last, he managed to wash the grime off the kitten’s body, and shortly after, Chong Yin finished bathing himself as well.
Right in front of the kitten, he stepped out of the bathing pool completely nude, his lean, powerful body displayed without a hint of modesty before the kitten’s eyes. The kitten found himself staring, momentarily stunned.
That part of him, was it really this large even without any… reaction? That didn’t seem quite normal…
Bai Xiaonian, who had always been rather carefree and unbothered by such things, suddenly felt his face heat up, yet his eyes remained glued to Chong Yin’s body, unable to look away.
A view like this was too good to pass up.
Chong Yin draped a white silk robe over his shoulders without bothering to tie the sash, leaving the front generously exposed. Suddenly, he felt a burning gaze fixed upon him, impossible to ignore.
He turned to look and found the kitten, sprawled on the towel by the edge of the pool, staring at him with an unmistakably lecherous glint in its eyes.
Chong Yin: “…”
He reached down and adjusted his robe, covering his private parts completely.
Bai Xiaonian pouted inwardly: How boring.
Chong Yin walked over to the kitten, crouched down, and narrowed his eyes at it. “Lecherous cat, what exactly were you just looking at?”
The kitten turned his head away, eyes darting about, feigning complete incomprehension.
Chong Yin let out a mocking laugh, used his spiritual energy to thoroughly dry the kitten’s half-damp fur, then scooped the cat up and carried him toward the bed.
Pressed against Chong Yin’s firm abdominal muscles, the kitten grew curious and pressed his soft pink paw pad against them experimentally. The muscle felt somewhat firm, though not overly hard, just the right texture, warm and comfortable.
The kitten found himself thoroughly captivated by those abs, pressing his paw against them again and again.
Chong Yin endured it for as long as he could before finally giving up, pulling the kitten off and tossing him onto the bed.
“Sleep.” The man’s handsome, thin lips uttered just that one word before he lay down, tying his sash into a stubbornly firm knot.
Bai Xiaonian scoffed inwardly at Chong Yin’s obvious guardedness.
Before his rebirth, Bai Xiaonian’s own physique hadn’t been bad either, it was only that no matter how much he trained, his abdominal muscles never showed much definition, only becoming visible when he deliberately tensed his body. In his relaxed state, his stomach was always covered with a soft layer of flesh.
Because of this, Bai Xiaonian couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy toward Chong Yin’s physique.
Chong Yin lay on the bed with his eyes closed, and it was unclear whether he’d fallen asleep or not. Bai Xiaonian watched him for a while, then suddenly tucked his head down and slipped, quick as a flash, through the open collar of Chong Yin’s robe.
Chong Yin’s brow furrowed sharply, his sharp phoenix eyes snapping open, glancing down at the small shape now squirming beneath his robe.
The kitten had curled himself up right on Chong Yin’s abdomen, batting at his abs with one paw again and again, thoroughly enjoying himself, an unconscious purring rumble building in his throat.
Chong Yin gritted his teeth, undid his sash, and reached down to grab the kitten off his stomach, only for the kitten to twist away and burrow even deeper.
Chong Yin froze for a moment, then his whole body went rigid.
That foolish cat had actually burrowed straight into his undergarments…
Chong Yin’s entire body tensed, watching the little shape scrambling about inside his pant leg, the tips of his ears flushing a faint red, whether from anger or embarrassment, it was hard to say.
“Get out of there right now.”
Chong Yin barked the command furiously.
But the kitten had never once been an obedient little cat. Instead, he kept right on playing inside Chong Yin’s pant leg, occasionally scratching at him with his little paws, and even edging ever closer toward a certain area between Chong Yin’s legs.
Chong Yin’s pupils constricted. He reached out and, through the fabric, pressed a hand down firmly over the squirming shape.
Bai Xiaonian, thoroughly enjoying his little game, felt a flash of irritation at suddenly being pinned down.
Truthfully, he hadn’t been looking at anything he shouldn’t have, he had absolutely no interest whatsoever in any part of Chong Yin’s body. There was no need for the man to guard himself so fiercely against him.
“I’ll say this one last time, get out, or don’t blame me for what happens next.” Chong Yin’s voice carried a thread of fury, cold and menacing.
Bai Xiaonian could tell Chong Yin had genuinely lost his patience now, and no longer dared to keep playing around. The kitten nodded quickly against Chong Yin’s palm, signaling that he was about to come out.
Seeing this, Chong Yin finally relaxed his grip slightly.
Bai Xiaonian swore he truly had every intention of climbing back out of Chong Yin’s undergarments, but just as he reached the waistband, his paw slipped, and he landed squarely on the object lying dormant there.
Bai Xiaonian, not yet realizing exactly where he was, instinctively kept trying to climb further up, only to hear Chong Yin suck in a sharp breath, immediately followed by the man’s large hand reaching in.
The kitten’s whole body trembled, certain Chong Yin was about to strike him. In his panic, he instinctively wrapped himself tightly around the object beneath him, which happened to be Chong Yin’s…
Chong Yin’s entire body went rigid with tension, his breathing growing heavier and rougher with fury, his chest heaving violently.
“Foolish cat, you’re dead.” Chong Yin ground the words out, one syllable at a time, through gritted teeth.
Bai Xiaonian blinked in complete bewilderment, having no idea what he’d done to upset this fearsome tyrant of a man yet again. Feeling thoroughly wronged, he couldn’t help the tears welling up in his eyes.
Chong Yin quickly reached in and seized the kitten, pulling him outward. Terrified of being struck, the kitten clung on for dear life, wrapping himself even tighter around Chong Yin, causing the man to suck in a sharp, pained breath.
“Let go of that wretched paw of yours.” Chong Yin’s voice rang out in warning once more.
The kitten blinked his wide eyes in confusion, then, belatedly, it finally dawned on him. He looked down at exactly what he was clinging to.
This… this didn’t feel quite the same as everywhere else…
Wait. This was, this was—
