Seeing the food, Su Yi’s eyes lit up.

He immediately stopped thinking about anything else and nodded excitedly.

After finishing their meal, the siblings headed out together.Full novel: Exiled to a Desolate Planet I Farm and Raise Children in the Interstellar World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

By the time they arrived at the nearest west city gate to their residence, a long line had already formed.

Fortunately, the line moved quickly, and before long, the two of them exited the city.

Outside the city, numerous weapon-equipped drones hovered in the air.

Looking up from beneath the city walls, one could also see defensive weapon systems mounted above.

Ahead lay a jungle even more terrifying than a primeval forest.

The plants on DQ008 seemed to have absorbed growth stimulants, growing to more than three times the size of normal vegetation.

Not just plants—even star beasts were the same. Some high-level star beasts were dozens of times larger than ordinary wild animals.

This was a common feature of most energy planets.

On such planets, the safe zone and the wilderness were like two entirely different worlds.

“Big brother, this way.” At a fork in the road, Su Yue suddenly spoke, stopping Su Yi, who was about to head forward.

Su Yi turned back.

Then glanced at the large group of people heading straight ahead.

“You have to go farther to find energy stones,” he said.

“But it’s also more dangerous.” Su Yue stepped forward and took his hand.

“Listen to me.”

“We’ll stay closer to the safe zone.”

Su Yi hesitated.

After glancing at Su Yue’s belly, he finally nodded.

“Okay.”

Thus, the siblings changed direction and headed toward the right side of the main road.

Near the safe zone, there were few trees—mostly wild grass.

But on this desolate planet, the wild grass was almost no different from normal trees.

They grew tall, blocking much of the sunlight and significantly affecting visibility.

Leaving the main road, they moved through the grass forest.

Su Yue felt as though she had entered a land of giants—small and fragile.

Following behind Su Yi, she observed the surrounding plants as they walked.

Foxtail grass, euphorbia, goosefoot, club grass, mugwort… she recognized quite a few of them.

These plants grew vigorously. Aside from being several or even dozens of times larger than what she had seen before the apocalypse, their shapes hadn’t changed much.

Suddenly, Su Yue spotted a dandelion plant as tall as her waist.

“Big brother, wait—” she called out.

Su Yi stopped and turned to look at her.

“Big brother, quickly—cut that!” Su Yue walked up beside him and pointed at the dandelion.

Dandelion was both a medicinal herb and an edible wild vegetable.

Su Yi looked confused.

“Be good, big brother. When we get back, I’ll make you instant noodles again!” Su Yue added when he didn’t move.

The words “instant noodles” seemed to flip a switch in Su Yi.

“Okay!”

He responded immediately and walked over, swinging his large sickle.

With his great strength, it didn’t take long for him to cut the dandelion down.

Su Yue took the three- to four-kilogram plant and activated her mental power.

As expected, under microscopic perception, she detected a large amount of toxins within the plant.

But detoxification was her specialty.

Without hesitation, she used her purification ability.

Under microscopic observation, the toxins quickly dissipated.

In less than a second, they were completely gone.

A smile appeared on her lips. After making sure no one was nearby, she stored the dandelion in her space.

“Let’s go, big brother.”

“Okay.” Su Yi glanced at the “space ring” on her hand and continued forward.

After walking a bit farther—

Su Yue’s eyes suddenly lit up.

“Sugarcane!” she exclaimed in delight.

She had discovered a small grove of arhat sugarcane!

Each stalk stood like a pillar—massive and imposing.

Her eyes sparkled, and she couldn’t help but salivate.

Arhat sugarcane was incredibly sweet. There were about a hundred stalks here—if they cut them all down, they’d be rich!

“Big brother, quick—cut the sugarcane!”

Su Yi glanced at her.

“Oh—” and did as told.

The sugarcane here was as thick as a large bowl and over ten meters tall.

A sickle wasn’t ideal for cutting, but Su Yi’s strength made up for it. After two or three minutes, he managed to cut one down.

When it fell, the impact made quite a noise.

Su Yue quickly scanned the surroundings and, without trimming it, stored the sugarcane directly into her space.

Looking at the grove, she hesitated briefly but decided against cutting more.

Their tools weren’t suitable today—no need to waste time.

Besides, that single stalk likely weighed over a hundred jin—enough for her to process.

After passing through the sugarcane grove, they continued onward.

Not long after, Su Yue found a patch of potatoes by the roadside.

This was truly a treasure.

She didn’t want to miss a single one.

She had Su Yi dig them up.

In the end, they got three potatoes.

Though calling them “potatoes” might not quite do them justice.

The largest was the size of a washbasin, while even the smallest was bigger than a basketball.

After storing them, Su Yue checked the time on her wrist device.

It was already close to noon.

“Let’s call it a day, big brother. Let’s head back.”

If they moved quickly, they could still make it back in time to prepare lunch.

“Huh?” Su Yi was surprised.

He looked at his empty basket.

They were going back already? He hadn’t even dug a single energy stone today.

“Let’s go. I’ll cook something delicious for you when we get back,” Su Yue said with a smile.

At the mention of food, Su Yi stopped insisting.

He led his sister back.

On the way, Su Yue had him dig up a few more wild vegetables.

This trip had been very rewarding.

When they returned to the west city gate of the safe zone, there were only a few people there.

This wasn’t surprising—most people who went out to dig energy stones stayed out all day.

People like Su Yue, who returned after only half a day, were rare.

On their way back to their rented home, Su Yue spotted a shop selling household appliances and mining equipment.

After checking her star coin balance, she brought Su Yi inside.

Household appliances in the interstellar era were highly advanced. Although not extremely expensive, they were still beyond what Su Yue could currently afford.

In the end, after bargaining with the shop owner, she bought a medium-small electric saw.

It cost her fifty star coins, reducing her balance to a single digit.

The saw used low-grade energy crystals, and only a small amount—enough for about ten minutes of continuous use.

Unfortunately, she had no extra money left to buy more energy crystals.

Passing by a general store, Su Yue bought some plastic bags, successfully emptying her account.

Upon returning to the rental house, Su Yue immediately told Su Yi to shut the door.
