She сould no lоnger hold bаck, clinging tо him as she burst into tеаrs.

“Рrincе, уou’ve finallу cоmе!”

“I was so sсared, wuwuwu! I wаnted tо саll out tо you, but I сouldn’t makе а sоund. I wanted to walk toward you, but I соuldn’t lift my feet no mаttеr how hard I tried, wuwuwu!”

“I missеd уou so much, wuwuwu!”

“Prince, hold…”

Before she could finish her words, Yun Jiao could no longer endure it. Her vision went white, and she collapsed.

Inside the Yan Royal Palace.

Yun Jiao had already slept for an entire day.

She lay quietly on the bed, covered tightly with a blanket by Yan Shi.

So obedient, so quiet.

Lying obediently on the bed, never again breaking her promise and leaving him.

Yan Shi raised his hand and gently traced the outline of her face, his eyes filled with the softest infatuation.

“This is much more obedient.”

He sat on the floor beside her bed, propping his face up with his elbow against the bed frame, and sighed.

“But this way, you can’t say things like ‘I like This Prince’ to deceive me anymore.”

Yan Shi picked up a cloth from the side and gently wiped Yun Jiao’s face. Apart from her delicate, enchanting face, the rest of her skin was tinged with a faint blush.

All of it was from his wiping.

She had cried until she fainted in his arms, once again tricking him into softening his heart.

Every part of her body had been meticulously washed by him over and over again. Yan Cheng said he had touched her entire body.

He had wiped her clean many times with clear water, flower petals, and jade dew.

Especially her exposed right shoulder from that day—it was particularly red.

If she weren’t so delicate and he weren’t afraid of hurting her, he would have even wanted to scrub that patch of skin off.

Yan Shi lowered his gaze, carefully wiping her fingers, even cleaning under her nails.

“Jiao Jiao, don’t be afraid. This Prince has already cut off his hand. He will never touch you again.”

His tone was gentle, as if he were coaxing her to sleep.

After wiping her clean, Yan Shi tucked Yun Jiao’s blanket in, lowered his gaze, and slowly leaned down, pressing his lips against hers.

This was a punishment for her disobedience, and even more so for not waking up to apologize to him.

Yun Jiao’s brows furrowed slightly, her breathing growing somewhat rapid. The instinct for survival drove her to open her mouth, trying to breathe.

Yan Shi’s eyes darkened.

After a long while.

He straightened up, adjusting his rapid, burning breaths, his fingers slowly brushing over Yun Jiao’s lips.

After gazing at her for a while longer, he placed a kiss on her forehead, turned, and left the room.

He walked all the way to the rockery in the backyard. After winding past several rock formations, one of them shifted, revealing a hidden passage.

Long stone steps descended downward, with occasional night pearls embedded in the walls, casting a dim but not entirely dark light.

In Yan Shi’s words, he liked luxurious and beautiful things. In this regard, Yun Jiao was a perfect match for him.

His black boots stepped unhurriedly on the stone steps, producing a steady tapping sound.

From below, faint cries of agony could be heard.

Yan Shi’s footsteps did not pause. The further down he went, the clearer and louder the screams became.

As he stepped onto the final stone step, his vision instantly brightened, and the air was filled with the scent of blood.

Yan Shi curled his lips into a pleased smile and walked toward the innermost cell.

Two iron chains, each as thick as half an arm, were nailed at one end to the stone wall and at the other end into Yan Cheng’s shoulder blades.Chu Yi and Chu Er stood on either side of Yan Cheng, holding knives, and bowed toward Yan Shi. “Greetings, Master.”

“Hmm.” Yan Shi sat down in the armchair.

Chu Er used a dagger to carve into Yan Cheng’s body. The blade pierced the flesh, revealing bone.

After making several cuts, he looked toward the person in the ornate robes seated on the chair beside Yan Shi and said, “Young Marquis, still nothing.”

“Ah…” Xie An let out a soft sigh and murmured, “Nothing?”

He rested his chin on his fan, his peach-blossom eyes deep and affectionate, the corners slightly upturned with an air of careless languor. He stared at Yan Cheng for two seconds.

“Then try the left side.”

“Oh, alright.” After speaking, Chu Er picked up the dagger and began carving into Yan Cheng again.

“Ah!” Yan Cheng let out a scream, then his voice dropped to a whimper.

At first, he could still shout and curse, but now he was almost too weak to even cry out.

Countless large and small cuts covered his body.

Yan Shi rubbed his fingertips together. “Still haven’t found it?”

Xie An snapped his fan open with a click and gently fanned himself. “What’s the hurry? Your little Princess Consort won’t wake up for several days anyway.”

He had to repeat this to Yan Shi several times a day, yet Yan Shi never seemed to tire of hearing it.

Rushing to have Chu Yi and Chu Er drag him over here was all to save some little Princess Consort of unknown origin. When he himself was suffering from a poison flare-up, he never saw Yan Shi this anxious.

“Hmph.” Xie An snorted, shifting into an even more languid posture. “Anyway, there’s plenty of time. The mother gu inside him isn’t going anywhere. Take your time searching.”

Finding a mother gu wasn’t particularly difficult for him, but he had been dragged so unceremoniously by Chu Yi and Chu Er all the way from the Marquis Manor to the Yan Royal Palace.

Did he have no dignity?

He was angry!

After he kicked Chu Yi and Chu Er in the buttocks, they now stood facing him, keeping their backsides far away.

He couldn’t kick Yan Shi’s buttocks, and Yan Cheng’s stinky rear was too disgusting.

Well, there was no other way. He’d just have to carve open Yan Cheng’s flesh bit by bit until his anger subsided.

“Can it be extracted while keeping him alive?” Yan Shi suddenly spoke up.

Xie An’s fanning hand paused: “”

Yan Shi lifted his eyes, calm and composed. “Such a little thing actually made her obedient. Killing it would be a pity.”

After speaking, he sighed as if helpless. “She’s a bit unruly.”

Xie An clicked his tongue and looked at him. “So?”

A smile curled at the corner of Yan Shi’s lips. “So, This Prince wants to implant the mother gu into This Prince’s own body.”

Xie An raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised. He hadn’t expected Yan Shi to be so fond of that little Princess Consort.

But.

“It’s possible.” Xie An added after a pause, “Definitely possible.”

Yan Shi’s eyes lit up.

But then he heard Xie An continue, “Your little Princess Consort will definitely die.”

“This kind of gu, once the child gu resonates with the mother gu, the child gu feeds on the host’s internal organs and flesh.”

“…” Yan Shi fell silent.

He tapped his knuckles on the armrest. “Forget it. This Prince doesn’t want to die yet.”

“I was talking about the child gu.” Xie An looked at him with a teasing expression. “I never said the host of the mother gu would die.”

“…”

Yan Shi shot Xie An a cold glare. The latter finally shut his mouth, watching with keen interest as Yan Cheng was carved up.

“Chu Yi, don’t just stand there. Try lower, lower, around the legs, below the abdomen.”

“Eh? Let me do it! Castration time!” Chu Er eagerly volunteered.Yan Shi glanced at Xie An indifferently, seeing that in this state, he wouldn’t be satisfied anytime soon.

Fine.

Whatever this mother gu was, it was disgusting—he couldn’t stomach it.

She was a little liar. He wouldn’t feel sorry for her, nor would he care whether her body would be gnawed away.

Yan Shi stood up and walked out slowly, saying as he went, “If you find it, crush it.”

It was time for him to go back and wash her body.
