“Listen to me completely first,” Nameless said seriously.

“I don’t like anyone interrupting me in the middle of a conversation.”

Arthur immediately fell silent.Full novel: EXTREMELY EXHAUSTED — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I’m sorry,” he replied.

Ronan grew slightly irritated after witnessing the exchange, but he kept his thoughts to himself.

He couldn’t help wondering whether Nameless was deliberately picking on Arthur simply because he believed Nameless couldn’t see him.

Yet Alice didn’t say anything either.

She merely listened in silence.

She should have said something to Nucky, Ronan thought.

Once everyone had settled down, Nameless continued.

“The place mentioned in that diary is the main reason behind this Star Gate’s upgrade.

According to the diary, there’s a temple in that location, and something is hidden inside it.”

He paused briefly before adding, “You can ask questions now.”

This time, nobody interrupted him.

Everyone listened carefully, unwilling to risk provoking him.

Alice was the first to speak.

“When and where is this place?”

“It’s inside the eastern jungle,” Nameless replied.

“I went there to investigate.”

He continued, “I tried to enter the temple, but I couldn’t.

Two people are required to open it—a man and a woman.”

He paused for a moment.

“So I couldn’t get inside.”

Ronan frowned.

“We’ve been here for so long.

Why have we never encountered this place before?”

However, Alice wasn’t thinking about the temple’s location.

She was thinking about something else.

If Nameless truly can’t see, how did he discover all of this?

Then she realized something.

He can see.

He just doesn’t want anyone to know.

Because Alice could see the future, she had never witnessed Nameless removing his blindfold in any of the futures she had observed.

She didn’t say anything.

Instead, she remained silent, secretly pleased that she had finally uncovered another one of his secrets.

Nameless turned toward Ronan.

“If people like you could see everything I see, what would I need you for?”

Ronan’s expression darkened.

He was just about to rise from his chair when Arthur suddenly grabbed his arm, stopping him.

Ronan looked at Nameless.

Then at Alice.

Then at Arthur.

Finally, he sat back down without saying another word.

Nameless turned toward Alice.

“Alice, you’ll come with me tomorrow.”

Alice nodded.

“Alright.”

“Now,” Nameless continued, “let’s discuss what we’re going to do tomorrow.”

Arthur was the first to speak.

“Our warriors will be ready starting tomorrow.

We also need to teach everyone the proper battle formations.”

Alice nodded.

“Then Ronan will handle the formations.”

Arthur continued, “We collected some Beast Cores from the corpses you left behind and distributed them among the Awakened Ones.

I still have the remaining cores stored for strengthening their powers.

I can hand them over to you.”

Ronan suddenly froze.

He hadn’t expected Arthur to say something like that.

But the person who did it was someone I had never even considered!

I can’t believe that crazy man actually did something like this.

Nameless frowned.

“What are Beast Cores?”

Everyone looked at him in surprise.

Then they gradually calmed down.

They suddenly remembered that Nameless had entered the Awakened Star Gate without possessing a Star Core.

Alice explained, “Beast Cores are items that Awakened Ones use to increase their Star Power.”

Ronan suddenly asked, “Then how does your power increase?”

The instant Nameless realized that Ronan had discovered another secret about him, his expression changed.

He stood up.

A black blade materialized in his left hand.

Without hesitation, he raised it toward Ronan’s throat.

But—

Clang!

Noctis stopped the blade just an inch away from Ronan’s neck.

“Calm down,” Noctis said casually.

“Nobody needs to die just because they learned a secret.

I’ll handle this.”

Everyone around the table froze.

Nobody understood what had just happened.

Alice was slightly calmer than Arthur and Ronan, but even she watched Nameless carefully.

Ronan, meanwhile, was completely bewildered.

Only after realizing how close he had come to death did he finally mutter, “You’re a psychopath.”

“Ronan!” Arthur immediately warned him.

He knew exactly what Nameless was like.

This guy is completely insane.

If he hears Ronan say that again, he might actually kill him.

And losing Ronan would be a significant loss for their group.

Nameless ignored their exchange and looked at Noctis.

“How are you going to fix this?”

A small smile appeared on Noctis’s face.

“I’ll erase their memories.”

Arthur’s expression changed slightly.

Noctis continued, “I’ll only erase the information Nameless wants them to forget.”

Arthur took a deep breath.

“Then I have no objections.”

Nameless looked at Noctis.

“If that’s the case, erase Arthur’s memories too.”

His expression turned cold.

“I don’t trust him at all.”

He paused briefly before adding, “Perhaps even Alice’s.”

Ronan immediately spoke up.

“If you erase Arthur’s memories, who will know your secret?

And what about Lady Alice?”

Nameless turned toward him.

“Arthur helped me when I was at my weakest.

He could have killed me if he wanted to, but he didn’t.”

His voice grew colder.

“Alice, on the other hand, abandoned me in that condition.”

He turned toward Noctis again.

“So I’d rather trust Arthur than trust you.”

Alice remained silent throughout their exchange.

Finally, she spoke.

“Erase Ronan’s memories.

But leave everything related to Arthur and me untouched.”

Nameless frowned.

“Why would I do that?

I don’t trust you either.”

“We need to know this information,” Alice replied calmly.

“I already told you why.”

“I’ll need this information later.” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Nameless smiled faintly.

“So you can use it to kill me?”

Alice shook her head.

“I have a Soul Contract with you.

Even if I wanted to harm you, I couldn’t.”

Nameless remained silent for a moment.

“There is some truth in what you’re saying.”

Then his gaze shifted toward Arthur.

“But Arthur?

I don’t trust him at all.”

Alice finally gave in.

“Fine.”

Arthur, as usual, said nothing.

Ronan was slightly frightened by the entire conversation.

But then he remembered something.

Alice has a Soul Contract with Nameless?

The realization shocked him.

Before he could think about it any further—

Noctis pinched his hand.

Ronan’s vision blurred for a moment.

The same thing happened to Arthur.

In an instant, their memories of the conversation about Beast Cores disappeared.

The meeting continued as though nothing unusual had happened.

Arthur looked at Nameless.

“Nameless, what do you need?

Beast Cores?”

Nameless casually reached down and picked up one of the Beast Cores lying nearby.

“I don’t usually pick things up when they’re lying around.”

He tossed the Beast Core toward Arthur.

“But I’ll accept this little Beast Core.”

Then he smiled faintly.

“Go ahead.

Consider it charity from me.”

Arthur and Ronan felt slightly annoyed, but neither said anything.

They had already realized what kind of person Nameless was.

There was no point getting angry with him.

Alice stood up.

“Then it’s settled.

Everyone has work to do today and tomorrow, so go and get some rest.”

The others began rising from their seats.

However, just as Nameless was about to leave, Alice stopped him.

“Nameless, wait.

There’s something I want to discuss with you.”

Nameless assumed she wanted to ask more about the temple.

Without giving it much thought, he followed her.

Alice led him to her room and then guided him onto the balcony.

A small table stood there, with two chairs beside it.

“Sit,” she said.

Nameless sat down naturally.

Alice poured him a cup of tea and placed it in front of him.

He picked up the cup and settled comfortably beside her.

For a while, neither of them spoke.

The night was quiet, and a gentle breeze swept across the balcony.

After a moment, Nameless tilted his head toward the sky.

“There are many stars tonight, aren’t there?”

A faint smile appeared on his face.

“Alice, you know I can’t see.

So how would I know?”
