Fairy Streamer: Every Fairy I Get Makes Me Stronger

The thought drifted through his mind as he tried to come up with a way to approach her that wasn’t too forceful or overbearing. One that wouldn’t scare her off.

Looking at her fragile figure cowering behind the flower stem, Felix couldn’t help but be reminded of his younger sisters when he’d first met them.

Back then, he himself had still been very young, and they had been terrified of him.

‘It feels like a long time ago now.’

Chuckling at the thought of how innocent and timid his sisters had been at the time, Felix couldn’t help but entertain a sudden idea.

‘Hmm...! That might actually work.’

Deciding to try a different approach, Felix stood up and walked away from the young Fairy.

Sitting not too far from her, he picked up a small stick from the ground and started drawing something on it.

A short while passed, and the Fairy cautiously peeked out from behind the flower stem once more, only to find that the human who had saved her was nowhere in sight.

Mildly worried, she fully stepped out from behind the flower, concerned that he had left before she even had the chance to thank him for saving her life.

Taking a few steps away from the flower, she soon spotted him sitting some distance away, which from her perspective was still quite far.

Watching him from afar, she noticed that he seemed engrossed in something as he stared intently at the ground, occasionally stroking his chin before using the stick in his hand to doodle away at whatever he was working on.

Curious, she tried to flying towards him, but upon glancing behind herself and realizing she couldn’t at the moment, she remembered that her wings were still wet and covered in slime from the Forest Slime’s digestive fluids.

Walking towards him instead, she climbed atop a rock near him and peeked at what he was drawing.

Noticing she was closer now, a slight smirk emerged on Felix’s face.

‘The best way to approach someone who’s scared of you is to let them approach first.’

Though this wasn’t always the best solution, he found it to be the optimal option for the current situation.

With that in mind, he continued drawing, acting as though he was completely oblivious to her presence.

Peeking over the rock, she was surprised to find that he was apparently drawing some kind of strange, crappy, wobbly-looking figure.

The lines etched into the ground were jagged and uncertain, as though a flock of chickens scribbled gibberish onto the ground and called it art.

After a while, he was finally done with the drawing and let out a triumphant ‘Hmph!’, as though proud of his magnificent creation.

Glancing towards her, Felix asked.

“What do you think? Cool, right?”

Hearing his question, the Fairy briefly forgot she was supposed to be scared and carefully hopped off the small mountain she stood on, which was actually just a small rock.

Making her way towards his ‘art,’ she examined it from multiple angles, wondering if it was simply the position she was viewing it from that made it look so strange.

Yet no matter where she stood, it still remained odd nonetheless.

Glancing back at him with a look that clearly asked, ‘What exactly is this supposed to be?’, she failed to understand what she was looking at.

Chuckling upon understanding her questioning expression, Felix casually replied.

“Why, it’s you of course.”

Shocked by the revelation, the young Fairy comically swung her head back and forth between Felix and his creation, a look of utter disbelief spreading across her face.

The ‘art’ looked like a monstrosity that was never supposed to come into existence, and would most likely beg to be erased from reality should it somehow gain sentience.

The face, if it could even be called one, was a chaotic mess of eyes, lips, and a pointy deformity that barely resembled a nose, looking more suited for a battlefield than an actual face.

The body, an equally repulsive combination of mismatched parts, as though a giant and a dwarf had engaged in a fierce and brutal mating spree, with this abomination being the by-product of their diabolical love.

One that most likely ended with the dwarf’s death.

Its arms and legs were all sorts of wrong, paired with a neck as thick as a lumberjack’s bicep and a body that looked as though it had been starving for far longer than anyone could physically endure.

However, what she found most disturbing was the atrocity he had committed against her chest.

If those could even be called breasts anymore.

They were an asymmetrical blend of spheres, with one being absurdly larger than the other, making them resemble a water balloon squeezed near the centre, forcing most of the water to bulge to one side.

Bewildered by the sight, she couldn’t help but wonder whether this was how humans viewed Fairies in general, or if this particular human simply sucked terribly at drawing.

Leaning heavily towards the latter, she ‘angrily’ marched over to a ‘tall’ thorny flower.

Grabbing hold of one of the thorns, the Fairy tugged at it repeatedly. The flower itself was nearly three times her height, while the thorn was roughly half her size.

Mildly amused by the sight, Felix was about to move over and help her out when...

*Snap*

As though detaching itself, the thorn broke free from the flower, allowing her to remove it with surprising ease.

Unbothered by this, the Fairy simply marched back towards the scene of his crime against all things artistic.

Taking one final glance at it, she shifted her attention elsewhere and began drawing beside it as well.

A short while later, she was done.

Crossing her arms beneath her chest, emphasizing her tiny yet surprisingly ample bosom for her size, she let out a triumphant ‘Hmph!’ of her own, imitating his earlier display of confidence.

Finding the entire gesture mildly amusing, Felix struggled to maintain his composure as he fought back a laugh.

Glancing down at her drawing, he found himself genuinely impressed.

Contrary to his, hers was far more readable. The line strokes were more deliberate and purposeful, despite her best attempts to make it look terrible.

Adding things like horns, bulging eyes, a protruding belly, skinny limbs, and long pointy ears, she even went as far as placing three great horns atop its head.

To which she also claimed the image was meant to be him, as this was her attempt at revenge for the abomination he called art.

Yet hers still ended up being far better than his.

Though Felix couldn’t understand her words, based on her body language and the ‘Fairy noises’ she made, he was able to get the general idea.

“Wow! Not bad. I didn’t expect to be this good-looking in a drawing. You really have a way of capturing my likeness. Good job!”

Puffing out her chest at his praise, the young Fairy appeared visibly pleased that he could at least appreciate real art, despite being completely incapable of creating any himself.

Chuckling slightly at her reaction, Felix couldn’t help but think.

‘Hmm! Just calling her Fairy might be a bit odd. I wonder what I should call her.’

At the thought, he decided to ask for her name.
