In the blink of an eye, more than a month passed.
During that time, Aito settled into a remarkably regular routine.
He woke early, drank a glass of milk, and started morning training.
He spent the morning practicing and testing skills at home, then arrived at Fairy Tail right on time for lunch.
In the afternoon, he stayed at the guild asking people for guidance on magic and occasionally helped out as a server.
After dinner, he played with his friends for a while to strengthen their bonds.
Then he returned home to Little Garden, worked on the next installment of his novel, meditated, and went to bed before eleven every night.
He absolutely refused to carry today’s exhaustion into tomorrow.
Everyone in Fairy Tail agreed that Aito was a perfectly normal child.
His disciplined lifestyle kept him in a consistently good mood.
Naturally, the results were enormous.
First came his studies in magic.
Aito learned [Lightning Magic] from Laxus, asked Makarov to teach him [Light Magic] and [Giant Magic], studied [Transformation Magic] under Airo, and learned [Water Magic], [Sand Magic], and [Shadow Magic] from other guild members.
Of course, he’d only studied them.
That didn’t mean he’d mastered them.
Most of those spells hadn’t reached LV1 yet, and Aito had no intention of spending Inspiration Points on them for now.
He was merely reserving their places on his panel.
His greatest discovery, however, came from a young Mage named Mest.
[Teleportation Magic] It could also simply be called teleportation.
It was incredibly cool.
More importantly, Aito learned it absurdly fast.
It took him only one day to master.
But that wasn’t all.
When Aito pushed Teleportation Magic all the way to 1,000 experience points, two skills disappeared simultaneously.
[Requip Magic LV1, 2139/10000] [Teleportation Magic LV0, 1000/1000] Then, in their place, an entirely new form of magic appeared.
[Spatial Magic LV1, 6979/10000] Aito was genuinely surprised.
‘So this system still has little surprises hidden inside it.’ Apparently, when two forms of magic belonged to the same category and were mastered naturally rather than raised with Inspiration Points, their experience could be consolidated into a higher-level skill.
The experience gained through natural learning even received a bonus when transferred upward.
After obtaining LV1 Spatial Magic, Aito could still use both Requip and Teleportation Magic.
Better yet, Spatial Magic itself was already close to reaching LV2.
That also gave Aito his answer.
Among all the different types of magic he’d encountered, Spatial Magic had by far the highest compatibility with him.
Requip Magic could spatially transfer inorganic objects like clothing.
Teleportation Magic could move Aito’s entire body through space.
Teleportation consumed quite a lot of Magic Power and couldn’t be activated instantly yet.
But those were minor problems.
As the skill leveled up, they would surely improve.
Aito could even develop his own techniques later.
Something like…
[Flash] Or perhaps— [Flying Thunder God]?
His progress with magic had been considerable.
Aito’s basic Status Panel now looked like this: [Vitality: 25/25] [Stamina: 20/20] [Magic Power: 401/404] Every attribute had improved.
His Magic Power had finally broken through the 400 mark.
Then came the magic he’d already mastered: [Telepathy Magic LV4, 20086/10000000] [Spatial Magic LV1, 6979/10000] [Meditation LV1, 3456/10000] [Script Magic LV1, 3364/10000] [Solid Script LV0, 207/1000] [Magic Power Control LV1, 3208/10000] [Molding Magic LV1, 1959/10000] [Fire Magic LV1, 404/10000] [Crush Magic LV1, 33/10000] These were all spells and skills he’d possessed before.
Spatial Magic was close to LV2, while Meditation and Script Magic, which he used frequently, were progressing steadily as well.
As for the newly mastered magic: [Light Magic LV1: 1111/10000] [Lightning Magic LV1: 888/10000] [Water Magic LV1: 678/10000] [Enhancement Magic LV1: 168/10000] [Ice Magic LV1: 66/10000] [Transformation Magic LV1: 50/10000] The elemental spells weren’t particularly difficult for Aito to learn, so he’d managed to bring all of these to LV1.
Among them, Light Magic progressed the fastest.
Aside from Spatial Magic, it appeared to have the highest compatibility with him.
Enhancement Magic was actually an application of Magic Power that strengthened the user’s physical abilities.
Originally, no such skill had appeared on his panel.
Like Magic Power Control, Aito had deliberately created it with Inspiration Points.
With Enhancement Magic, he could easily lift objects several times heavier than his own body weight.
Unfortunately, Aito rarely joined Fairy Tail’s brawls, and nobody exactly invited a six-year-old into fights.
So he didn’t use it very often outside moving heavy objects.
He’d only recently learned Transformation Magic.
At LV1, however, it could merely transform Aito into another child-like appearance.
He couldn’t even change his body size very much.
That was mildly disappointing.
Beyond those mastered spells was an entire pile of LV0 magic he still hadn’t learned properly.
Aito couldn’t even be bothered listing them all.
At this point, he finally understood why most Mages in this world specialized in only one or two kinds of magic.
There simply wasn’t enough time to master everything.
Trying to learn too much at once only meant mastering nothing.
Aito had already decided that Spatial Magic would become his main specialty.
Space-time abilities were top-tier almost anywhere.
Since he clearly possessed talent in that field, there was no reason not to develop it as far as possible.
Apart from magic, he also had several ordinary “life skills.” [Writing LV1, 1587/10000] [Drawing LV1, 104/10000] [Physical Training LV0, 509/1000] [Cooking LV0, 250/1000] [Music LV0, 9/1000] Basically nothing had changed.
Aito didn’t pay much attention to most of them.
The only one he cared about was Physical Training, since he suspected it would become useful later.
Unfortunately, his body was still far too young.
Progress was slow.
Still, there was plenty of potential for the future.
Aito had barely spent any Inspiration Points during the past month.
Instead, he’d become a proper little hoarder.
His current reserves had reached— [Inspiration Points: 29686] Almost thirty thousand!
That was enough to instantly learn more than twenty minor skills.
Or raise three skills all the way to LV2.
Yet Aito still had no intention of spending them.
Just watching the number steadily rise made him happy.
There was nothing he urgently needed right now anyway.
He might as well keep saving.
Besides, his lousy system had one obvious flaw.
Skills forcibly raised through Inspiration Points lacked a solid foundation, meaning Aito still had to practice afterward if he wanted complete mastery.
How disappointing.
Even without relying on his cheat, however, Aito’s learning speed was already astonishing.
Everyone in Fairy Tail openly regarded him as a little genius now.
He might as well save even more surprises for his guildmates in the future.
With magic covered, there was also the matter of money.
The novel version of Naruto had been serialized in this world’s newspapers for more than a month.
The Land of Waves arc had just concluded, and reader feedback had been overwhelmingly positive.
Apparently, culture from another world still packed quite a punch.
Naruto had already gained a modest reputation throughout the Kingdom of Fiore.
Not long ago, with Makarov’s help, Aito negotiated further deals with both the Fiore Kingdom Daily and Sorcerer Magazine.
One deal covered publication of the novel’s first collected volume.
The other was for a new serialization— The Naruto manga in Sorcerer Magazine.
Originally, Aito had also been negotiating the manga with the Fiore Kingdom Daily.
Then Sorcerer Magazine suddenly entered the competition.
And they simply offered too much money.
A man couldn’t fight money.
So that was how things ended up.
Naturally, Reedus would be the manga’s main artist.
Aito would handle the licensing and provide basic character designs.
Before long, he should finally be able to lie around while money rolled in.
Wonderful.
Nothing particularly important had happened during the past month either.
Fairy Tail remained as noisy as ever.
Gildarts still hadn’t returned.
Aito simply spent his days enjoying that rare and precious thing called “childhood” with his friends.
He thought today would be another perfectly ordinary day.
Until— A little girl appeared outside Fairy Tail.
Her clothes were torn and ragged.
Her body was covered in injuries, and she was filthy from head to toe.
She stared weakly at the guild building.
“…Fairy Tail…” “Grandpa Rob said…” “…Is this the place?” …
