Mirajane kept her head bowed, her silver bangs shadowing her eyes.

Slowly, a smirk curled her lips.

“Take Over.” A terrifying, irresistible gravitational force erupted from Mirajane’s demonic arm, latching onto Satan’s soul and violently pulling him forward.Full novel: fairy tail : pica pica no mi system, light speed kick — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Satan’s wicked smile instantly vanished, replaced by sheer panic.

“What is this?!

Why is my body moving on its own?!” The demonic entity stared in horror at the human girl.

She wasn’t entranced or brainwashed at all; she was smiling at him like a predator looking at its prey.

“Impossible!

What did you do to me?!” “Hmph!

Did you really think you could control me?” Mirajane sneered, raising her claw.

“But I really should thank you for awakening my Magic.

Demon Take Over Magic!” “Impossible!

There is no such Magic in this world!” Satan roared, thrashing wildly against the invisible force.

“Your arm only mutated because it was infected by my demonic essence!

How could it awaken Magic?!

And Take Over Magic, no less?!” “How the hell should I know?!

That obnoxious Mage upstairs told me!” Mirajane yelled.

“Whatever!

Enough talking.

I’m going to eat you!” Satan felt the pulling force intensify exponentially.

His soul was being violently dragged, stretched, and sucked directly into the young girl’s body.

“NOOOOO—!!!” With a final, desperate scream, Satan’s soul was completely absorbed by Mirajane.

The underground cavern fell dead silent.

Seeing that it was finally over, Mirajane’s legs gave out.

She collapsed onto the cold stone floor, panting heavily.

Despite her exhaustion, she could feel a massive, terrifying energy pulsing through her veins.

“So…

this is Magic.” Outside the Sealed Ground.

Caelan was sitting comfortably on a rock.

Sensing the massive demonic energy below completely vanish and condense entirely into a single life form, he nodded in satisfaction.

“All done.

Time to go home.” He looked around.

The entire village was completely gone.

Nothing remained but leveled dirt and the shattered wreckage of collapsed homes.

A moment later, two small figures came running toward him from the distance.

“Lord Mage!!” Caelan looked down to see Lisanna and Elfman sprinting toward him.

“Why did you guys come back?

It’s dangerous here, you know.” “We…

we noticed all the loud noises stopped,” Lisanna panted, clutching her chest.

“By the way, where is Sister Mira?” Caelan pointed toward the blasted hole in the ground.

A figure was slowly climbing out of the rubble.

“Look.

There she is.” Lisanna and Elfman immediately spotted their older sister.

Although she was covered in dirt and looked exhausted, she didn’t seem hurt.

Overjoyed, the two of them sprinted forward.

“Sister Mira!” “Sister Mira!” Hearing their voices, Mirajane looked up.

A gentle, relieved smile spread across her dirty face.

“Lisanna…

Elfman…” Her eyes rolled back, and she immediately collapsed, passing out from sheer exhaustion.

Not long after, a dispatch unit from the Magic Council finally arrived at the scene.

They found nothing but a group of terrified villagers sifting through the completely leveled ruins of their town.

After questioning the village chief, the Council knights learned it was the work of a Fairy Tail Mage.

The commanding officer clutched his head in exasperation.

“Why is it always those lunatics?!

They’re getting completely out of hand lately!” On the road back to Magnolia.

Caelan walked down the dirt path, looking thoroughly annoyed as he carried an unconscious Mirajane on his back.

Elfman and Lisanna trailed closely beside him.

Mirajane slowly fluttered her eyes open, realizing she was bouncing slightly with every step.

She looked around, realizing she was on someone’s back, with her siblings walking alongside them.

‘Why am I on this annoying guy’s back?’ she panicked internally.

‘What do I do?

What do I do?

I’ll just pretend I’m still asleep.’ “Since you’re awake, get down,” Caelan said dryly.

“You’re heavy.” Before Mirajane could even process his words, Caelan just casually dropped her backward.

“Ah!” Thud.

“Ow, ow, ow!” Mirajane rubbed her backside, glaring up at him.

“You absolute jerk!

You really just dropped a beautiful girl onto the dirt like that?!

Doesn’t your conscience hurt?!

And for the record, I am NOT heavy!” Caelan stared at her with dead fish eyes.

“Conscience?

What’s that?

Never heard of it.” “It’s okay, Sis,” Lisanna giggled, helping Mirajane up.

“Don’t be mad at Big Brother Caelan.

He’s been carrying you for half the day.” “Ugh!

Lisanna, why are you taking this jerk’s side?!” Elfman quickly rushed over to help support his sister.

“Are you okay, Sis?” “I’m fine, Elfman.” Mirajane brushed the dirt off her dress, looking around.

“Where are we going?” “We’re going to the Fairy Tail guild, Sis!” Elfman smiled.

“Your arm still hasn’t recovered, so Big Brother Caelan is taking us to get help.” Mirajane looked down at her right arm.

Instead of returning to normal, it actually looked even more demonic and terrifying than before.

“Hey!

Annoying guy!” Mirajane yelled.

“Why isn’t my arm fixed?!

You said it would go back to normal once I took over that demon!” “Sigh…

Your Magic just awakened, and you absorbed a high-tier demon like Satan on your first try,” Caelan explained, rolling his shoulders.

“Once we get back to Fairy Tail, the Master can teach you how to properly control Take Over Magic.

It’ll go back to normal then.” “So I have to walk the whole way looking like this?!” “Here.” Caelan reached into his inventory and tossed a large cloak over her shoulders.

“It’s getting late anyway.

You guys rest here.

I’m going into the woods to hunt something for dinner.” A short while later, Caelan returned dragging a massive, three-meter-tall bear.

With practiced efficiency, he butchered it, set up a fire, and started roasting the meat.

Having not eaten a proper meal in days, the three siblings stared at the sizzling meat with stars in their eyes.

The four of them quickly devoured the entire bear—though, to be precise, Caelan ate about ninety percent of it by himself.

The Strauss siblings watched him in absolute awe.

“How on earth can you eat that much?” Mirajane asked, looking slightly horrified.

“The stronger you are, the more you eat,” Caelan stated matter-of-factly.

“The fact that you guys eat so little is just proof that you’re weak.” Mirajane narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

“Really?

Because I feel like you’re completely making that up.” “Why would I lie?

Look at me—I’m super strong, and I eat a lot.

It’s directly proportional.” “Is that…

actually true?” “Don’t worry about the logistics.

Just go to sleep,” Caelan said, lying back against a tree trunk.

“We have to catch a train first thing in the morning.

If I get back late, the Master is going to nag me to death.” Within seconds, Caelan was fast asleep.

Lisanna and Elfman snuggled up against Mirajane, quickly dozing off.

Mirajane stayed awake for a while, looking up at the starry sky.

After years of running and suffering, it finally felt like things were taking a turn for the better.

Smiling softly at her sleeping siblings, she closed her eyes and drifted off.

A few days later.

After four long days of travel, the group finally arrived in front of the Fairy Tail guildhall.

“Fi-finally…

we’re back,” Caelan groaned.

He kicked the guild doors open, immediately hit by the familiar, chaotic noise of the bar.

The moment Finn and Rook spotted him, they dropped their mugs.

Finn sprinted across the hall, tears streaming down his face as he dramatically threw himself at Caelan’s feet, hugging his leg.

“Waaahhhh!!” Finn sobbed loudly.

“Boss!

You finally came back!

I thought you were dead!

I didn’t know what to do without you!

I thought I’d be forced to inherit all your real estate and live out my days tragically collecting rent in your memory!

Waaahhh!” A thick vein throbbed violently on Caelan’s forehead.

“Treason!

This is absolute treason!” Caelan roared.

“Rook!

Drag this idiot outside and beat him!” “Yes, Boss!” Rook saluted, immediately grabbing Finn by the collar and dragging him out the door.

“Wait—no, Boss, I was joking—!” “Hmph.

A guy like that thinks he’s qualified to inherit my properties?

Disgusting,” Caelan muttered, adjusting his jacket.

He turned to the three wide-eyed siblings standing behind him.

“Just ignore them.

Come on, I’ll take you to see the Master.” The Strauss siblings nervously followed him inside, looking around in awe at the massive, rowdy guild.

As they walked past the bar, Macao leaned over with a sleazy grin.

“Ohoho!

Caelan, you go out for a few days and come back with two pretty girls?

Which one’s your favorite?” “Shut up and drink your booze,” Caelan shot back.

“These three are joining the guild.” Mirajane defensively stepped in front of her younger siblings, glaring at the drunk man.

“Relax,” Caelan sighed.

“They don’t mean any harm, they’re just a bunch of inappropriate old men.

You’ll get used to it.”
