Fairy Tail!

“Natsu!

Get up!

I’m going to starve to death if we don’t go on a job!” “Natsu!

I wanna eat fish!

I wanna eat lots of fish, come on, get fired up!” “Natsu!

Wake uuuup!” With an anxious face, Happy flew in circles around Natsu, who was lying limply on the table, constantly whining about his empty stomach.

In the blue cat’s mind, he was already imagining the thrill of getting their mission reward and devouring a massive fish!

Growwwl!

The sound of a growling stomach echoed at the absolute perfect moment.

Almost everyone in the guild instantly turned to look at Happy.

Happy rubbed his belly with a pitiful expression, “I only ate a small fish ten minutes ago.

I’m really hungry!” The entire guild nearly fell over in disbelief!

The problem was, a ‘small fish’ by Happy’s standards weighed at least a kilogram.

For a tiny cat, a fish that size should have been enough to make his stomach explode.

Natsu’s winged companion had absolutely no self-control when it came to fish, and it seemed like his stomach was a bottomless pit.

Three months had passed since Natsu took his last mission.

However, Happy never ran out of his favorite food.

After all, he wasn’t just Natsu’s partner; he was also the beloved mascot of the guild.

Nobody had the heart to let him go hungry.

Growwwl!

A much louder growl echoed through the room.

Now, everyone’s gaze shifted, locking onto Natsu, who was still sprawled across the table.

Both of his arms dangled lifelessly off the edge, his body entirely drained of energy.

He lay there with a look of utter despair, as if he had lost the very will to live.

Why did he look so devoid of life?

Because, of course, he had just transmigrated!

As a wealthy heir in his previous life, he had thoroughly enjoyed his role as a true modern-day couch potato.

Before being hit by a truck and crossing over to this world, he had enough wealth to squander for a lifetime without ever having to lift a single finger.

But fate had other plans!

Instead, he was thrown into a magical world fraught with danger.

The monsters here were taller than mountains!

The wizards could level hills with a single strike!

Not to mention the two walking apocalypses: Zeref and Acnologia!

It felt like this magical world could end at any moment by their hands!

And as luck would have it, he had transmigrated into the main character of this world.

The strongest fire demon Zeref had created from the body of his own younger brother!

Etherious Natsu Dragneel!

The man who relied on the miracle of background music (BGM) power-ups to clutch victories all the way to the end of the story.

Without his BGM playing, Natsu was often beaten and stomped on by enemies coming out of nowhere.

Based on the idle calculations of his lazy soul, throughout the original story, Natsu had been beaten into the dirt more than 300 times!

In fact, it wasn’t uncommon for him to suffer crushing defeats multiple times in the exact same episode before finally making a comeback.

If it weren’t for his plot armor and trusty BGM, Natsu would have said goodbye to this world a long time ago.

However, being a Dragon Slayer who coexisted with the miracle of BGM certainly brought its own perks.

There had to be a cheat system or a special privilege to this transmigration!

It was the absolute law of isekai!

Natsu intrinsically possessed the key to the strongest power in the magic world.

It was just a shame that the original Natsu threw that potential away halfway through the story.

The Demon Seed!

The Dragon Seed!

One held the potential of the ultimate demon, designed by Zeref specifically to kill himself.

The other was the pinnacle of the Dragon King’s magic!

Both were the strongest existences.

Natsu only needed to use one of them to conquer the entire world.

If he had been willing to harness that power, he could have even faced Acnologia head-on without needing to rely on the miracle of plot armor just to survive.

Unfortunately, the original Natsu gave up on both powers and survived purely thanks to his status as the protagonist.

What a waste!

Truly throwing away potential!

The main advantage of his transmigration this time was that the powers of the Demon and the Dragon had now completely fused with his body.

The power didn’t mess with his sanity, nor would it alter his physical form.

He didn’t turn into a Demon, nor did he transform into a Dragon!

Now, the power of both had melded into one.

The Strongest Fire Wizard.

The Demon Dragon!

However!!

This lazy soul, ingrained for over 20 years, wasn’t going to suddenly jump for joy like a typical shounen protagonist just because he gained overpowered abilities.

Thinking about the fact that he still had to sweat and earn money with his own two hands…

As a former rich kid whose only job was to relax, Natsu felt sick to his stomach.

Ever since bringing Lucy to join the guild, Natsu had spent most of his time sprawling on the table, unwilling to move a muscle.

Three months had passed!

He was successfully living by the ultimate couch potato principles.

Besides, if he really got hungry, there was always free food at the guild anyway.

Unfortunately, the savings the original Natsu had accumulated from years of completing missions had now been completely eaten away by the current Natsu.

This dragon body was incredibly troublesome.

Just a few minutes after eating a full meal, he would feel starving again.

In the end, even if he intended to be active, his energy would be drained beforehand!

Becoming a true slacker really was the most logical choice right now.

“Natsu!

Take a look at this job.

The reward is 200,000 Jewels!

It’s a subjugation quest, your favorite kind, right?” Mirajane shoved a job flyer right in front of Natsu’s face.

The girl looked extremely worried about his condition.

For so long, the young man had just been lying there limply without an ounce of passion, not even changing his sleeping position in the slightest.

It was only natural that the entire guild had started to worry about him.

Normally, Natsu was the first one to get fired up whenever there was a fight.

He never cared how massive the power gap was between them; his fighting spirit was always ablaze.

Anything that could be solved with brawn rather than brains was right up Natsu’s alley.

Reluctantly, Natsu opened his eyes and glanced at the job flyer.

With just a single fleeting look, he closed his eyes again and resumed his lounging.

He muttered weakly, “What a drag.” Honestly, Natsu wouldn’t have even bothered opening his eyes if it hadn’t been a super gorgeous girl like Mirajane offering it to him.

Still concerned, Mirajane tried to check the young man’s temperature.

However, the second her skin made contact with Natsu’s forehead, she jerked her hand back as if she had just been shocked by a live wire.

“He’s burning up!” Mirajane quickly turned to Makarov, who was sitting on the bar counter.

“Master!

Something is wrong with Natsu’s body, what should we do?” Makarov, who was chugging his drink with a ridiculously flushed face, replied in a drunken slur, “Just shove some beer down his throat!

He’ll cure himself once his body temperature goes down!” Hearing that idea, Cana—who had somehow already been hugging a giant keg of beer nearby—immediately cheered with enthusiasm.

“Drinking, huh?” she grinned widely.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Natsu drunk before!” “Ohohoho!

I’m getting fired up!” Without hesitation, Cana marched over to Natsu, hoisting the beer keg onto her shoulder.

She pried Natsu’s mouth open and mercilessly poured the contents down his throat.

Mirajane’s eyebrows knitted in panic, calling out a warning, “Cana!

Don’t force it down like that, at least pour it slowly!” However, the last part of her sentence seemingly betrayed her true feelings.

Imagining a drunk Natsu…

secretly, Mirajane was curious to see it too!

Even so, common sense took over.

She looked at Makarov again with a pleading tone.

“Master!

Please stop Cana.

Natsu could be extremely dangerous if he gets drunk!”
