Shen Qingyao browsed the trading market for a while. Her luck was pretty good—she actually managed to trade for a pile of potatoes that had started sprouting!
As soon as she got them, she put them in a corner of the kitchen. She would wait a few days for them to sprout properly, then cut them into pieces and plant them.
At this moment, Wang Guodong suddenly sent her a message:
“You didn’t have to do this. The price is too high. Once I find an opportunity, I can deal with them directly!”
Shen Qingyao smiled and replied:
“1,000 heads of lettuce aren’t much to me!”
“Xia Xingwang is just a male college student. He’s pretty good at games and has a quick mind, but he’s physically weak and not very good at taking care of himself! There are several others like him among our Huaxia survivors. I was thinking of helping them and improving their strength first, so I’ve already given them quite a lot of my vegetables to eat!”
Sure enough!
Shen Qingyao’s guess had been completely correct!
“Do you need me to donate some?”
“No, no! What you’ve given me is more than enough. We’re just helping them, not trying to raise a bunch of useless people! Besides, they sent me quite a few strange and unusual things as thanks. I don’t need them, so I’ll pack them all up and send them to you!”
This felt just like shopping on Taobao, and Shen Qingyao really couldn’t bring herself to refuse!
“Thanks! I have some miscellaneous vegetables here too. I’ll pack them up and send them to you!”
She packed up some tomatoes, corn, and Chinese chives, along with some wild vegetables she’d found outside that she didn’t particularly like.
The Chinese chives grew quickly, and she’d already harvested one batch. They were great for removing the gamey smell and adding fragrance when roasting or stewing meat.
Wang Guodong looked at the crowsfoot grass roots, houttuynia, and purslane he’d received, then rubbed his forehead and chuckled.
“Such a childish temper!”
These things, which were lifesaving food in their eyes, had actually become something this little girl looked down on!
He wanted to tell her that there were still people in this survival game who couldn’t even eat their fill every day.
And yet she’d already started complaining about the food!
Still, he certainly wasn’t going to complain about it!
Shen Qingyao had already begun happily “shopping.” Many of the things Wang Guodong sent her were various kinds of ores. She had no use for them for the time being, so she simply put them in a cabinet in the corner of the living room.
There were also all sorts of strange household items, such as tissues, solar lamps, wind chimes, a vanity table, and even a food processor.
There were five solar lamps, so she stuck them directly into the ground around the courtyard. They illuminated her spirit-grade farmland, so it was no longer pitch-black in the middle of the night.
With some light around, the wild beasts probably wouldn’t come to attack her in the middle of the night anymore!
As for the food processor, she could use it to make fruit juice. It wasn’t particularly useful, considering she had always eaten tomatoes whole anyway. At most, she could probably use it to make tomato sauce?
She hung the wind chime by the window. Whenever the wind blew, it made a pleasant tinkling sound. It actually made her feel that living alone wasn’t quite so quiet anymore!
Yesterday, Wang Guodong had also traded her a Level 4 ordinary water buffalo beast. The meat was excellent, carrying a faint grassy fragrance. More importantly, its hide was cool to the touch and enormous in size.
After carefully removing it, she gave it a simple tanning treatment and spread it over her bed.
The moment she lay down on it, it felt as though all the heat of summer had vanished!
She regretted not learning about this sooner. Even though the combat suit kept her from feeling too hot, sleeping in it was still uncomfortable!
It was already getting late when she suddenly remembered that she hadn’t made today’s submission yet.
“Host, do you confirm submitting 108,976 Gesang flowers to the system?”
“Confirm!”
“All resources will be manifested on Blue Star ten-thousandfold. Please confirm the manifestation location!”
“Anyun County!”
“Congratulations! 108,976 Gesang flowers have been manifested on Blue Star ten-thousandfold! The host’s ranking on today’s points leaderboard is 523rd!”
Just as expected!
Although there was a huge quantity of them, these things weren’t worth much!
“Host, do you confirm submitting 308,795 Gesang flower seeds to the system?”
“Confirm!”
…
“Congratulations! 308,795 Gesang flower seeds have been manifested on Blue Star ten-thousandfold! The host’s ranking on today’s points leaderboard is 134th!”
She was still outside the top hundred!
Things of ordinary Level 1 quality really weren’t worth much anymore!
“Host, do you confirm submitting 1,705 Level 3 ordinary Swallowtail Butterflies to the system?”
“Confirm!”
…
“Congratulations! 1,705 Level 3 ordinary Swallowtail Butterflies have been manifested on Blue Star ten-thousandfold! The host’s ranking on today’s points leaderboard is 1st!”
Shen Qingyao was satisfied!
As expected!
With more than a thousand Swallowtail Butterflies submitted, her points had skyrocketed!
Shen Qingyao finally breathed a sigh of relief. For a moment, she’d thought she was falling behind!
In Anyun County, the plaza had been expanded to ten times its original size, yet it was still filled with three enormous “mountains.”
Because Shen Qingyao hadn’t started a livestream, many people online were eagerly waiting, especially wanting to witness firsthand what such an enormous, abundant manifestation would look like.
So the authorities had set up a livestream here that ran around the clock.
The moment the three enormous mountains appeared, the entire nation erupted!
“Gesang flowers! Nobody used to eat this stuff, but it isn’t poisonous! If nobody else will eat it, I will!”
“Exactly! I will too!”
“Can the seeds of Gesang flowers be pressed for oil?”
“No, no. Gesang flowers can improve the soil. Anyun County can now cultivate them, you know what that means!”
“Exactly! I can’t wait to see the whole place covered in flowers!”
“Is no one paying attention to that pile of butterflies? I know you can’t eat butterfly wings, but what about their bodies? Those are still meat, right?”
“Above, that’s way too hardcore! I’ve never heard of anyone eating butterflies! We people from Yuncheng have to admire your imagination!”
“Actually, I wanted to ask that too. Can butterflies be eaten?”
“None of you eat them! Let me do it! I’m willing to be the guinea pig!”
“Above, you’re a true warrior!”
The authorities knew this event would attract a lot of attention, but they hadn’t expected this much!
It was clearly a manifestation that didn’t seem particularly useful, yet the people of Huaxia were incredibly enthusiastic!
Shen Qingyao had no idea about any of this. Before going to bed, she made another batch of fences. Then she discovered that her proficiency had reached its limit, and her fences had actually leveled up, becoming Intermediate Fences!
Their defensive capabilities had risen by an entire tier!
She had originally thought she’d accumulated enough fences recently and wouldn’t need to make any more for the time being. She hadn’t expected them to be upgradeable!
In that case, she had to upgrade her other blueprints too!
Especially the traps. If she could upgrade them into Intermediate Traps, she didn’t even dare imagine what kind of cheat ability that would be!
Her current Basic Traps were already bringing her a small number of small beasts every day.
If she covered the mountain with dense layers of Intermediate or even Advanced Traps, what would she have to fear from that giant eagle?
She could practically rule the entire mountain!
And so, although she’d originally been planning to go to sleep, she couldn’t anymore!
She took out a bottle of Basic Nutrient Solution and gulped it down.
Once her stamina recovered somewhat, she immediately began making traps again!
That’s right!
She was going to prioritize upgrading her trap-making skill!
She calculated that she had needed to make 100 fences before they upgraded.
As for traps, she’d already made around 60. She only needed to make another 40 to complete the upgrade.
At full stamina, she could make about 20 at a time!
In other words, she would definitely be able to upgrade them by tomorrow at the latest!
