Janet nodded and opened the ancient book again.
“Caius’s father was a king.”
Hazel leaned closer.
“A human king?”
“Yes.” Janet turned another page.
“His name was King Harry. He was once a normal human, but he was constantly bullied by his brothers.”
Hazel frowned.
“His own brothers?” That’s normal for rich people when it comes to inheritance.
Janet nodded.
“They wanted his throne. They even tried to take his wife from him. King Harry couldn’t take it anymore. He wanted to become the strongest king in human history, so he asked a witch for help.”
Hazel stared at the book and frowned.
The book was written in Hebrew language and she wondered how she understood it.
“What witch?”
“Her name was Jencinthra. She was one of his closest friends.” Akeelah replied.
“Jencinthra agreed to help him. She cast a powerful spell on King Harry and his wife.”
Hazel’s eyes widened.
“And it worked?”
“Of course, Lady Hazel! I knew the story, but reading the history itself helps a lot” Janet turned the page.
“King Harry became incredibly strong. His wife also gained supernatural strength.”
He finally had the power to fight his brothers.
And he defeated them easily.
But something strange started happening after the battle.
“King Harry began feeling something inside him. It felt like a wild beast was living inside his body. Afraid, he asked Jencinthra what kind of spell she used. She panicked and told him the truth. It was a forbidden spell. The power would pass down to every generation after them. Nothing could calm it.”
Janet shook her head and continued. Get faster updates on g.com.
“King Harry almost went mad trying to understand what was happening to him. Then the Moon Goddess helped him. She created a special moon just for him. King Harry was so happy. He ran to the nearest mountain to release the wild feeling inside him. On the mountain, he saw a normal wolf. He was still angry and full of the new power, so he killed the wolf and drank its blood.”
Akeelah placed her hand on Janet’s shoulder and said, “Yeah, I knew about it! I heard that was a big mistake. The wolf blood mixed with the forbidden spell. King Harry transformed into a huge, beautiful white wolf — much bigger than any normal wolf. He howled happily at the special moon.”
“At the same time, his wife transformed into a big white wolf inside their home. Everyone in the palace was terrified.”
Akeelah nodded in excitement.
“No secret can stay hidden forever. They had to leave their town. They searched for a new place and looked for people who were willing to join them.”
Janet looked serious.
” Let me speak, big head.
What Jencinthra never told them was that they should be careful about biting people or having children.
King Harry mated with his wife.
Their first son was born… and he was not a normal baby.
He had white hair, pale skin, and a cold face.” Janet looked at the book in a daze…
“Babies are supposed to look soft and happy. This one did not.”
Hazel’s eyes grew wide.
“Jencinthra saw the baby and froze. She understood that being born with pure wolf blood was very different from being changed into a wolf later. The white hair was a clear sign of his special fur.”
Janet’s voice became a whisper.
“This news reached the other witches. They became very angry with Jencinthra. They punished her and made plans to kill the baby and his whole family. But Jencinthra had already given the baby a strong potion. The potion protected him from every witch’s attack. The more powerful the baby grew, the stronger the protection became.”
“As the first child born with pure royal werewolf blood, Caius was already strong enough to tear a very big dragon apart even while staying in human form.”
“Not long after, the queen sent the baby to a place where no witch could ever find him. This confused the witches a lot. How could they not locate one small baby on the whole earth?”
Hazel gasped.
“Where did he go?”
“To the Moon Goddess’s place,” Akeelah answered her.
Hazel rubbed her forehead.
“Just how many names does this one man have?” She was starting to understand that she was now in a much bigger situation than she had ever imagined.
Janet chuckled and flipped another page of the dark book.
“That is not really a name. It is more like a special title. Caius used to fight with the Moon Goddess all the time because he was so stubborn. Now the Moon Goddess is using that same stubbornness against him.”
Janet closed the book gently.
“You are one of his punishments.”
Hazel pointed at herself.
“I am?”
Janet smiled and nodded.
“Emily was right when she said we are up to something. We are not real maids. We came here to get you ready to meet His Majesty.” She let out a tired sigh.
“I did not know it would be this difficult.”
“You made it difficult,” Akeelah said, raising one brow.
“I wanted to take her away the moment she turned eighteen. But you said you would handle everything to please someone.”
Janet glared at her.
“Watch your mouth, kid.”
Hazel looked at Janet’s young face and almost laughed.
How could someone who looked so young speak like that?
She decided to ask the next question.
“So… how did the werewolf race spread after that?”
Janet answered, “As I said before, King Harry made allies. He mixed his blood with several people. Those people bit others and shared the blood. The ones who received King Harry’s blood directly became much stronger. They became the first Alpha bloodlines. I also heard King Harry stayed hidden and secretly had their kids…that history is still unclear.”
She looked straight at Hazel.
“Now that you know the important parts… let’s go and wake him up.”
Hazel held her breath.
“Ehn?!”
