Ana was in the living room, standing quietly for a moment, thinking about how her parents had gone to meet their grandparents and would return tomorrow with her older brother, while the twins were still upstairs.

Just then, she heard small footsteps and turned as the twins came running toward her, their sleepy faces lighting up the moment they saw her.

“Who wants to go shopping with me?” Ana asked casually, trying to sound normal.Full novel: FINDING UNTIL FOUND — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Me!

Me!” both of them shouted at the same time, jumping around her.

Ana couldn’t help but smile a little and bent down, picking both of them up, one on each side, as they clung to her happily.

“Okay, okay… let’s go,” she said, adjusting her hold and walking out with them, the twins laughing and talking non-stop as if the world was simple and warm.

On the other side of the city, the atmosphere was completely different.

A quiet, expensive party was going on, filled with people pretending to enjoy themselves.

Kel and Ed were standing together near a table, speaking in low voices, clearly not interested in anything happening around them.

Suddenly, a man walked up to them with an annoying smile on his face.

“What the hell are you guys doing here?” he said, clearly trying to provoke them.

Both Kel and Ed ignored him completely, continuing their conversation like he didn’t exist.

Ed leaned slightly and whispered, “What is this jerk doing here?” Kel replied in a low voice, “Don’t do anything… you remember what sister said, right?” Ed clicked his tongue but stayed quiet.

The man got irritated at being ignored and slammed his hand on the table.

“Didn’t you hear me?

Leave this place.

This isn’t for people like you.” Kel exhaled slowly and said, “Let’s go,” not wanting to create trouble because of the warning they had already received.

But just as they turned to leave, the man muttered something about their mother under his breath.

Both of them stopped.

The air around them changed instantly.

They turned back, eyes cold, ready to act—but before anything could happen, the room fell silent as a strong presence entered.

Their father, Park Gihyun, walked in with his usual commanding aura, his sharp eyes scanning the room, and behind him stood Rena Gihyun, calm but intimidating, her gaze landing directly on Kel and Ed.

She didn’t need to say anything—her eyes alone were enough.

Don’t cause trouble.

Both of them understood immediately.

Kel looked away first, Ed followed, and without saying anything, they decided to leave.

But as they were about to go, a woman suddenly bumped into them deliberately, spilling her drink and shouting loudly, “What are you doing?!

Can’t you see?

My dress is ruined!” The same man stepped forward again, acting as if he was on her side.

“Look at this behavior… no manners at all.

Well, what can we expect from low-class people?” Kel whispered under his breath, “I knew this would happen.” Ed replied, “Not like it’s my fault.” The man smiled and said, “Fine, I’ll forgive you… just have a drink with me.

One drink, and I’ll accept your apology.” He forced the glasses into their hands.

Kel and Ed exchanged a glance, then without thinking much, both of them drank it in one go, placed the glasses down, and for a second, everything seemed calm.

Then, almost at the same time, they picked up another glass—and threw the wine straight at the man’s face.

Silence.

Shock.

And the next moment—they ran.

Out on the street, both of them were walking fast, slightly unsteady now.

“What have we done…?

Sis is going to kill us,” Ed said, rubbing his head.

Kel didn’t seem worried.

“I don’t care… as long as we’re alive, let’s go see heaven,” he said casually.

Ed looked at him like he had lost his mind.

“What does that even mean?” “You don’t get it,” Kel said, his voice dropping, all the arrogance draining away.

“Ana…

she’s my heaven.” He looked down at his hands, a rare moment of tenderness breaking through his cynical veneer.

“When I’m with her, I feel like I’m finally…

normal.

Alive.” He looked up, his gaze terrifyingly raw.

“Without her, everything else is just hell.” Ed stayed quiet for a moment, looking at him carefully.

Is love really like that?

he thought.

Can it really change everything?

They were still walking when suddenly a familiar voice stopped them.

“What are you guys doing here?” They both turned—and there she was.

Ana, standing with the twins, holding their hands as they looked around curiously.

Both Kel and Ed’s faces lit up instantly, and without thinking, they rushed toward her and hugged her right there in the middle of the street.

The twins laughed, but people around them started staring.

Ana froze in embarrassment and immediately hit both of them on the head.

“What are you doing?!

And are you guys drunk?!” she snapped.

“No…” both of them replied with wide smiles, clearly not convincing at all.

Ana sighed deeply, already tired.

“Unbelievable… come with me,” she said, knowing she had no choice but to take them home.

Back at Ana’s house, the twins were still full of energy, running around the living room while Kel and Ed tried to act normal.

“I thought you were at a party?” Ana asked.

“We got bored and left,” Ed replied casually, dropping onto the couch.

“That explains nothing,” she muttered.

Then she added, “I’m going to cook.

Are you guys hungry?” “I’ll help,” Kel said immediately, getting up.

Ana looked at him with surprise.

“You can cook?” “Yes… is that a problem?” he replied, looking at her with soft eyes.

“N-No… it’s fine,” she said quickly, feeling strangely flustered.

“Then help me.” She turned to Ed.

“Can you take care of the twins?” Ed gave a confident thumbs up.

“Easy.” It was not easy.

The twins ran everywhere.

One escaped when he caught the other, and when he turned, the first one ran again.

“Wait—stop—why are there two of you?!” Ed complained, trying to keep up as they laughed and dodged him.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, things were calmer.

“How do you know cooking?” Ana asked while chopping vegetables.

“I don’t trust people easily,” Kel said quietly.

“I prefer doing things myself.” She paused for a second.

“So you trust my cooking?” He looked at her and smiled slightly.

“I trust you.” That made her heart skip, and she lost focus for a second—cutting her finger.

“Ah—!” Before she could even register the red blooming on her index finger, Kel was moving.

His hand was over hers, bringing her injured finger to his lips instinctively, his expression instantly serious.

Ana froze, her breath catching in her throat.

The heat from his mouth was nothing compared to the warmth spreading rapidly through her chest.

“…K-Kel…” she breathed out, her voice barely a whisper, a wave of embarrassment washing over her face.

“What are you doing?” The spell broke.

Kel realized exactly what he was doing, his eyes widening slightly before he quickly let go of her hand.

An immediate, awkward silence settled over the kitchen.

Both of them turned away, the tips of their ears turning a bright shade of red.

It was heavy with unspoken emotions, yet, in the quiet, not entirely uncomfortable.

Soon, food was ready, and everyone sat together.

The twins were still talking and laughing, making a mess while eating, and Ed struggled again trying to feed them properly while Kel helped.

Ana watched them quietly, a small genuine smile on her face.

“You both will be good fathers someday,” she said without thinking.

Both of them froze.

“What?” Ed asked.

She smirked a little.

“Your kids will be calling you ‘dad’ all day.” Ed leaned forward playfully.

“Then will you be the mom?” Before Ana could react, Kel hit him hard.

“Shut up.” (she will be my children’s mom) Ana looked away, flustered.

“Just eat.” But the warmth didn’t disappear.

It stayed—soft, real, unfamiliar.

For Kel and Ed, this kind of moment was rare.

No tension.

No cold silence.

No expectations.

Just laughter.

Warm food.

And someone who didn’t treat them like they were difficult to handle.

Both of them looked at Ana quietly.

…So this is what it feels like, they thought.

To belong somewhere.
