After saying that, Huo Sicheng straightened up, reached out, grabbed her shoulder, and shoved her aside.
Shen Wanqing was pushed away. Before she could steady herself, Huo Sicheng began kicking Ye Yu again.
Ye Yu quickly passed out.
When the customers in the gallery saw what was happening, they all fled.
The security guards were frantic and wanted to come over to stop him.
Shen Wanqing was almost driven mad. She rushed over and angrily beat Huo Sicheng with her fists.
“Go away! Stop hitting him!”
Huo Sicheng’s face grew darker and darker.
“If you want me to stop hitting him, then agree to break up with him. Agree to get back together with me!”
Shen Wanqing spoke in despair.
“I agree to break up with him. Now stop!”
Huo Sicheng finally stopped after hearing the answer he wanted.
He turned around and looked at the woman whose face was covered in tears.
He suddenly remembered that back in their senior year of high school, she had seemed to cry after he asked to break up with her too. But she had not looked nearly as miserable as she did now.
He felt a little jealous.
She was crying even more miserably because of another man.
Had she really fallen for Ye Yu?

He reached out and lifted her face, demanding, “You still haven’t said that you agree to get back together with me. Did you forget?”
Shen Wanqing glared at him with hatred.
“I agreed to break up with Ye Yu. From now on, he and I are strangers. Please don’t bother him anymore.”
Huo Sicheng was dissatisfied.
“I also want you to agree to get back together with me!”
Shen Wanqing sneered.
“I will never agree to get back together with you. Even if I die, I would rather not be with you!”
Huo Sicheng frowned deeply.
“You’re playing me?”
Shen Wanqing said, “I’m not.”
Huo Sicheng clenched his fist and was about to hit Ye Yu again.
Just then, the sound of a police car came from outside. His bodyguard hurried over.
“Young Master, the police are here.”
Huo Sicheng looked around.
“Who the fuck called the police?”
No one stepped forward to admit it.

Shen Wanqing said, “I’m the reason he got beaten this badly. I just want to see if he’s still breathing.”
Her face and eyes were filled with guilt.
Huo Sicheng was irritated.
“Don’t worry. He won’t die.”
Soon, the police came in and asked about the situation. Ye Yu was then taken to the hospital, accompanied by a staff member from the gallery.
Huo Sicheng, meanwhile, was taken to the police station.
Shen Wanqing was questioned as well. Since she had nothing to do with the incident, the police did not make her leave with them.
While the police were talking to Huo Sicheng, she hurriedly slipped away.
She did not dare stay there any longer. She was afraid Huo Sicheng would continue causing trouble for her.
After leaving, she went straight to the hospital.
However, when she arrived, she discovered that Ye Yu’s aunt had brought several bodyguards and had the hospital room guarded. She could not get inside.
Shen Wanqing had no choice but to return to her rented apartment first.
She sent Ye Yu a message on her phone, asking him to let her know when he woke up.
Before she knew it, Monday morning had arrived.
After getting up, Shen Wanqing yawned as she washed up. Then she put on a loose casual outfit and left the apartment.
The company she worked for was very small. There were only a dozen or so people, including the boss. Shen Wanqing worked in interior design, and she got along very well with her colleagues.

She sighed and finished the coffee in one go before saying, “Sigh, I had a nightmare last night, so I didn’t sleep well.”
She did not intend to tell Anna about Huo Sicheng. If Anna found out, she would definitely try to help her. Huo Sicheng was even more unhinged than he had been before, and Shen Wanqing was afraid Anna might get hurt, so she decided to keep it to herself for now.

The woman said she wanted the villa to look like a castle.
The man said he would leave everything up to her.

Shen Wanqing said gently, “It’s no trouble at all. It’s what we’re supposed to do.”
Shen Wanqing walked through the villa with the couple, going through every corner. She carefully asked about all their ideas as well. After finalizing the design plan, she told them that she would prepare the drawings and a video back at the office and send them over for them to review.
The couple happily nodded and thanked her.
Shen Wanqing also prepared to return to the office. It was almost noon, so it was time for lunch.
The company provided a free buffet that was very delicious. She had to hurry back, otherwise she would have to eat expensive, unpleasant takeout that might not even be hygienic.
The three of them walked out of the villa.
Suddenly, a luxury car stopped on the driveway outside.
A middle-aged man with shifty eyes got out of the car.
The middle-aged man first gave the woman between the couple a lecherous glance.

The middle-aged man said, “I was just passing by and thought I’d come over to say hello.”
As he spoke, the middle-aged man noticed Shen Wanqing standing beside them.
Although his younger cousin’s wife looked cute, he did not dare actually make a move on her.

The old man on the other end seemed to say something that pleased him, and Wang Dabao happily hung up.
He looked at Shen Wanqing smugly.
“You refused me, Wang Dabao. I’ll make sure you don’t get a single cent.”
Wang Third Brother exchanged a glance with his wife and angrily said, “Cousin, she’s the designer we hired. We think she’s excellent. Could you please stop causing trouble?”
Wang Dabao snorted.
“I’m helping you. Anyone can tell this woman is no good.”
Wang Third Brother was about to say something when his phone rang.
He looked at the screen and saw that his grandfather was calling.
Although he knew what his grandfather would probably say, Wang Third Brother still answered.
Sure enough, he soon began arguing with his grandfather.

The couple watched her leave with guilty expressions.

She had not gone far when a luxury car suddenly sped past her and then stopped directly in front of her, blocking her way.
She frowned and looked over.
Then she saw the shifty-eyed middle-aged man from earlier getting out of the car and blocking her path.
