Chарtеr 17: Wrарping an Arm Аrоund Her Wаist

Не must hаve just tаkеn a shоwеr, аs drорlеts оf watеr still clung tо his fаir skin, and the black strаnds of hаir on his fоrеhеаd were slightlу tousled.Full novel: Forced Breakup with the Yandere Villain, Then Recaptured and Kept Captive — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Неr gаzе drifted dоwnward—his Аdam’s aррlе рrоtruded, bоbbing slightly, his perfесt рhуsiquе outlined under thе light, арpеaring bоth sensual аnd strikinglу dеfinеd.

He wаsn’t wеaring a shirt.

Sеnsing something wаs оff, Lin Кuizhi сovеrеd her nose and fled in a pаnic, ассоmрaniеd by a muffled, flustеred еxсlamаtion.

“Y-you… why aren’t you wearing clothes again!”

Seeing the girl’s intense reaction, Chi Yu chuckled softly, his magnetic voice carrying a faint static distortion as it reached Lin Kuizhi’s ears through the phone.

“Isn’t this my way of begging for the young lady’s forgiveness?”

Lin Kuizhi: …She felt her nosebleed flowing even more enthusiastically.

After finally cleaning herself up and mustering the courage to look at her phone, she saw that Chi Yu had already put on his clothes.

Noticing the fleeting disappointment in the girl’s eyes, he suppressed a laugh.

“Still angry, huh? Then I’ll just…” As he spoke, he began to take off his clothes again.

Lin Kuizhi hurriedly stopped him—not because she didn’t want to see, but because she feared she might not be able to control herself.

“I’m not angry. That was sent by Yue Xin. I accidentally forwarded it to you.”

He curled the corner of his mouth.

“Oh, and the Scorpio guy was an accident too?”

So she was right—Scorpios really hold grudges!

Watching the girl fumble nervously, Chi Yu tapped his fingers lightly and spoke unhurriedly.

“Zhi Zhi, it’s thundering here.”

The girl, who had been looking down just moments ago, immediately turned to him with concern.

“What should we do? Should I buy a plane ticket and come back now?”

“No need. Just stay with me while I sleep.”

His words carried a suggestive ambiguity, and he pretended to be embarrassed as he explained, “No, I mean…”

“I get it, I get it,” Lin Kuizhi silently scolded herself for having a mind full of indecent thoughts, her face flushing as she said, “Go to sleep.”

He chuckled softly. “Goodnight, Zhi Zhi.”

“Goodnight…”

Chi Yu placed the phone beside him, facing his face, and closed his eyes to sleep.

Through the screen, she observed the young man closely.

His sharp brows and eyes now softened, his long, thick lashes casting shadows on his lower eyelids. His usually dark, profound eyes were hidden, making his entire face appear harmless, like an angel who had fallen to the mortal world—the Creator’s proudest masterpiece.

Soon, his breathing steadied.

Lin Kuizhi was surprised—he fell asleep so quickly. Wasn’t he afraid of thunder?

But why did it seem like she couldn’t hear any thunder?

Curious, she leaned her ear closer to the screen. After a moment, she blushed and moved away.

Better do a test paper to calm down.

After studying the entire day, night had already fallen.

Stretching lazily, she glanced at the phone screen and saw the young man staring intently at her.

Lin Kuizhi’s eyes widened, and she immediately sat up straight, her heart pounding as she stammered, “W-when did you wake up? Why didn’t you call me?”

How embarrassing—did he see her stretching?

“A while ago. I didn’t want to disturb Zhi Zhi’s studies.” His shimmering eyes held a hint of amusement.

Lin Kuizhi’s heart raced even faster, deeply suspecting that Chi Yu had enrolled in some kind of “male fox spirit training class” during the National Day holiday. The way he said her name sounded particularly tender and lingering.

To regain her composure, she pretended to be serious and coughed twice.

“Chi Yu, do you know what you did last night?”

The young man on the other end of the screen remained expressionless, replying lazily, “Slept, of course.””No, you were talking in your sleep!” After building up the suspense, Lin Kuizhi bit her lower lip, thinking about what nonsense to spin.

Watching the girl’s faintly pink lips turn temptingly lush, his gaze darkened.

“Now that you mention it, I remember—I did have a dream.”

Before Lin Kuizhi could react in surprise, his pitch-black eyes locked onto her bitten lower lip, and when he spoke again, his voice was hoarse.

“Zhi Zhi, don’t bite.”

“Was that what I said last night?”

As soon as the words fell, the video call was instantly disconnected.

Chi Yu chuckled as he looked at the blackened phone screen. So easily flustered—what was he going to do with her in the future?

On the other side, after Lin Kuizhi came to her senses, her face practically steamed.

He had clearly just told her not to bite her lips, so why had she guiltily hung up the call like a thief? What would Chi Yu think now?

It was all his fault for acting so strangely. She knew all too well that she was all talk and no action—teasing the big villain in her mind was one thing, but now it was just…

The holiday ended quickly, and after returning to school, everyone quickly threw themselves back into the intense review sessions.

“Lin Kuizhi, someone’s looking for you!”

She shook her sore wrist, stretched her stiff neck, stood up, and turned to see Gu Chen standing at the back door. She immediately sat back down.

“Lin Kuizhi!”

An angry voice rang out. Not wanting this idle person to disturb her classmates, she rolled her eyes and walked out.

“What do you want now?”

Without a second thought, Gu Chen grabbed her wrist and dragged her outside. “Come with me, I need to talk to you.”

“Let go of me! Can’t you just say it here?”

Gu Chen glared coldly at her. “No.”

Just as the two were entangled, a strong arm grabbed Gu Chen’s wrist.

A cold, heavy voice fell.

“Let her go.”

Gu Chen glared back fiercely. “Chi Yu, what right do you have to interfere in our business? You’re just the Chi family’s ille—”

A sharp slap rang out.

Gu Chen looked at Lin Kuizhi in shock, her face as cold as ice.

“Chi Yu, go back first,” she said to the boy, who was equally stunned by her slap, her tone soothing.

Chi Yu was about to say something when he felt a gentle squeeze on his arm. His gaze fell on the girl’s face, her eyes filled with a pleading look.

He glanced indifferently at the two of them, then, in the next moment, wrapped an arm around Lin Kuizhi’s waist, leaned down, and spoke in a voice loud enough for all three to hear, “Zhi Zhi, come back quickly.”

Warm breath brushed against the sensitive skin behind Lin Kuizhi’s ear, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

Gu Chen’s chest heaved violently. “You son of a—”

“Gu Chen, shut up,” Lin Kuizhi interrupted him sharply, frowning.

Furious, he glared at Chi Yu, only to see him raise an eyebrow leisurely, straighten up, and flash a mocking, malicious smile at Gu Chen from an angle Lin Kuizhi couldn’t see.

After Chi Yu left, Gu Chen roared, “Lin Kuizhi, how dare you slap me!”

Lin Kuizhi refused to back down. “Do you think you’re so cool with all your ‘son of a bitch’ talk? Dragging me out by force—I should have given you more than just a slap! Who do you think you are to touch me?”

Arrogant, spoiled, and looking down on everyone equally—that was the young lady of the Lin family.

Gu Chen stiffened, his jaw tightening. After a long pause, he spat out a few words, “I’m sorry.”

“But this is really important. Do you know that Chi Yu is…””He’s a bastard, don’t shout so loud. Have you never seen the world?” Lin Kuizhi rolled her eyes.

Gu Chen was stunned. “You know?”

The girl shrugged it off. “Of course I know. Did you think I was as stupid as you?”

“You know and you still hang out with him so much?” Gu Chen couldn’t believe it.

“None of your damn business.”

“He’s a bastard!”

“I’m not deaf!”
