“Boss!
The picture you got was a fabricated one.
It seems someone really wants to mess with you.
But something good happened while we went there.
I found this.” Opel slipped a torn- crumpled piece of paper on the table towards Scorn.
“What’s this?” Scorn asked as turned his head to peek into the piece of paper.
After carefully looking at the piece of paper, his facial expression shifted into a tight, pulled-together expression.
Opel could feel the squinting of Scorn’s eyes slightly as his focus or the frustration increased.
He could see the corner of Scorn’s mouth turning downward.
“Boss!
What happened?”
Scorn turned back his head and fixed his eyes on the bare wall.
His pose looked serious and grave; showing deep and heavy thoughts in a very quiet and firm look.
“Boss!” Opel called him again with an intent stare.
“HUGHHHH!” Scorn sighed heavily as he kept staring at the bare wall.
“Opel!
Every time we look over into this topic, my heart always quivers thinking what kind of revelation will be this time.
It’s been almost 14 years and I know she might have changed a lot, but thinking about any kind of grave or alarming updates make my heart shatter.” He sighed again.
Opel looked at the piece of paper and at once realized what kind of mess Scorn was going through.
The crumpled piece contains the few places where that missing person could be found.
“Last time…”Scorn suddenly paused in between and starred at the crumpled piece of paper.
“Last time we got the same intel and I know how much effort my men took to get into that details, I was shredded later when it turned out to be barren.” Scorn’s head automatically stooped lower.
His breathing dropped as he recalled how it turns out every time.
The more he rejoiced, the more miserable it turned out to be.
So his patience as well as persistence degraded day by day.
“Boss!
I know how much effort it takes to be this courageous.
Every time I see that happy face of yours whenever there’s any meagre news of hers, I know your exhilaration.
I know deep inside your heart you’re still craving for that every single news we deliver to you about her.
Infact I know how your heart operates, so it’s fine boss.
I’ll try to turn every stone and smash every barrier that hinders you from reaching her.
I assure you that you’ll meet her soon.” Opel answered with only determination reflected in his glittering eyes.
Scorn forced to smile as a response.
“Fine!
What about the new ownership of the matrix building?
Is there any progress?”
“Yes boss!
They were reluctant at first but when I told them about your conditions, they instantly agreed.
It was indeed a good strategy.
This time Sir Plyan’s gang members were a bit late in approaching them.” Opel laughed off with sudden smirk.
“Umm…” Scorn didn’t agree to what Opel assumed.
He rested his chin on his palm of his hand that was balanced on the corner of the table and pressed his lips into a thin line.
“I don’t think so.
Someone like Plyan would never miss such kind of opportunity.
I think he’s into something else right now.
But….”He paused with a deep thought.
His brows crumpled into a wavy line with a few lines on his temple creating heavy shadow over the bridge of his nose.
“What are you exactly thinking boss?” Opel asked looking clueless.
Scorn thought for a few more seconds glaring at the bare wall and nodded his head, “If Plyan is planning something that I’m thinking right now, then I guess we are at a loss.”
“What do you mean?”
“I think he’s going for the Moonlit Project that we have missed to mention in our meetings somehow.” Scorn spoke with a tensed face.
Opel’s eyes at once popped out syncing with his dropped jaw.
“What?” He exclaimed and dashed both his hands onto the table.
“Is he planning that ahead of us?
Are we missing out something?”
“It’s fine.
I have some sources working on it since a few months and I’m sure they have made some coverings.” Scorn spoke with a deep thought.
“But about her…let’s try to keep it a secret from our rivals just like we did till now.”
“Don’t worry boss!
I’ve only selected few men of our gang.
I’ve only told them her name but didn’t tell anything about her relation with you.
If there’s any trouble, I’ve also got a plan B and C as well.”
“Hahaha!” Scorn laughed.
“That’s why I can trust you blindly my boy.
You’re only 25 but matured enough to take any prudent decision in my absence.”
“Boss!
You’re not going anywhere, not atleast when I’m still with you.” Opel answered.
“You can’t say that Opel.
I know there will be day when I’ll have to face off with Plyan.
That day will come soon but I want to meet her before any such thing happens.” Scorn pressed his lips.
His chest raised high as he took a deep breath.
Opel stood with an absolute inner resolve, unyielding confidence and readiness to face any challenge.
“I’m there with you, boss.
Soon she’ll be standing next to you.” Opel spoke opening his chest fully to command space, his chin leveled and his eyes looking straight ahead at Scorn with unwavering focus.
“Are you sure?”
“Of course Boss!” He refused to avert or drop as he gazed at Scorn.
Meanwhile Zakai was busy all day in Gopit market area, the territory assigned to him by Scorn.
As he was going through some ledgers that were written by his previous gang leader, he could see some faults in it.
Instantly he called his boys and set a meeting.
In the meeting room, Zakai sat at the centre and all other members surrounded the round table.
None of them were focused on what Zakai wanted to tell them.
They were chit-chatting with each other; giggling, picking their noses, comment on some random things but none was interested in what Zakai was up to.
“Guys!
I know you all hate me a lot for what I did to my gang leader but let that rage be aside for now.
I want you to focus on something else today.
Look at this!” Zakai held a register, opened it, flipped and faced it towards his members.
