“Guys!
I know you all hate me a lot for what I did to my gang leader but let that rage be aside for now.
I want you to focus on something else today.
Look at this!” Zakai held a register and flipped it open and faced it towards his members.
Each of their eyes danced left and right, up and down as they went through the things written inside the register.
They kept on reading and accessing the things inside it.
One of them huffed, blowing a quick stream of air out of his nose and asked, “We know about these accounts.
Earlier boss told us that these are some kind of domestic accounts that funded us which withdrew its support 5 years ago.
But why are you showing us this thing now?”
Zakai kept the register next to them; open.
Then he slipped his hand into his pants’ pocket and took out a small piece of paper.
Unfolding the paper, he kept it on the table, “See this!
I’ve checked each and every account of this register and found out that no such funding has been made as such.”
“What?” “How is this possible?” “He won’t lie after all!” Suddenly there was chaos among each other and they started to question each other.
“Guys!
I’ve tried to dig out about this and I found something really shocking.” Zakai spoke with utmost confidence.
“What do you mean?” One of them asked.
Zakai exhaled forcefully and continued, “Upon looking into these accounts that are in this register, I found out that they are not any kind of domestic accounts but they are overseas accounts.
But what was shocking was that these accounts were made for a single purpose.
All money that enters through these accounts would automatically transfer into a single account.
And do you know into whose account this money gets transferred?
It’s boss’ account.
For almost 5 years he has been doing this thing without anyone’s knowledge.” Zakai pointed his index finger into an account’s name.
“Look!
This is his account.”
“Really!” “I can’t believe!” “Was he playing with us all these while?” “He made money while we worked hard black and blue.” Everyone started to murmur inside the room.
“Stop it!
How can we believe this traitor?” One of them stood up from his chair and banged on the table with both of his fists.
“Don’t forget he killed our leader to acquire his position.” The man gritted his teeth gazing at Zakai.
Zakai simply smiled at the man.
He took his phone from the table and typed something.
Then he kept the phone on the table and asked everyone to carefully look at his phone screen.
“Look at this account.
It’s yours right?” Zakai asked at the man standing next to him, gritting his teeth.
Instantly the man lost all colours of his face.
“This is the account at which our boss had made some transactions.
The money was from the warehouse stock that got burned last year.
But it was a bluff!
You both lied to us, right?” Zakai asked staring at the man’s eye; too close but that robust built muscles could not withhold Zakai’s stern intent.
“You Traitor!” Another man shouted at Zakai.
He stood up and in rage he rushed towards Zakai with heavy feet.
“No one believes you here.
You are a traitor and cannot be trusted.
My team mates are not fools.
You killed our boss who served us bread and butter without any nefarious intent.”
“Fine!
I can tell you more if you want.” He again took out his phone and showed them some of the transactions, “Isn’t this your name on this account.”He asked the man.
“I remember last year when you asked him money for your wife’s surgery, he said there was some kind of withdrawing issue with his account, right?
Now look at these pictures of transactions that he did at that time.
Don’t you think these are the same dates?”
“——-” The man paused .
He simply kept looking at the phone.
“My…my…” The man’s eyes were glittery and teary this time.
“My child died in his mother’s womb because I couldn’t take her to the hospital on time.
I…I…always looked up to him…but…” The man gritted his teeth.
There was pain as well as rage in his eyes.
“I know you all admired and looked up to your boss.
But the moment you made him the sole authority and started to idolize him, that’s when you forgot your sanity and depended on him for everything.
You all relied on him completely and so forgot your liberty to question him.
Don’t make anyone rule you.
I mean…it’s good that you cherish and help your leaders but don’t lose your conscience.” Zakai stopped talking and looked at each and every person in the room, from his left to right.
All of them were set back.
They sat silent but their minds were in chaos.
They never assumed that a kid like Zakai would teach them a life lesson.
Zakai grabbed his phone and put it in his pocket.
Slowly he stood up and walked out of the room.
He could feel a heavy atmosphere inside the room.
Each of his members were stunned.
They loathed their prior leader who exploited them for his maximum benefits while on the other side of the brain, they were thinking of their new leader, Zakai, who came as an eye opener to them.
It does not always turns out that old people with experience can only give wise counsel but sometimes young brains can also have a lot of experience through which wise advices can be shared.
And this thing was understood by every person in that room.
Zakai went directly to rest in his room leaving everyone in that meeting room in chaos.
He lay off in his bed, rested his head on the soft, light-weighed polyester pillow and closed his eyes.
“MMMMM!” He let out a rush of air through his nostrils.
More than letting out air, it was like venting out some kind of strong emotions.
Then he slowly slipped his hand into his pants’ pocket and took out a crumpled piece of paper and started to uncrumple and press the folded parts to unfold the page nicely.
Then he took a good look at the page for nearly a minute and a sudden smirk appear on his lips.
