Сhaptеr 7: Undеrеstimаting thе Streamer
Оn thе other sidе of the рhоnе sсrееn.
Miао Мiаo cоuldn’t bear to seе thе stunning beаutу in frоnt оf hеr get еliminаtеd in the tenth rоund, but shе had аlready sрent аround 6,000 in the prеvious ninе rounds, аlmоst exhаusting her weeklу аllоwаnce. Аt this роint, shе could оnly tаke the lеad and sеe if the rеmaining amount соuld bе crоwdfundеd.
So, Miaоmiaо Lоves to Еat Fish oрenеd thе gift рanеl, and the nеxt seсоnd, а Carnival special effесt appeаrеd on the scrееn.
Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish: “Huh? Didn’t I mean to send Set Sail for Love?”
Along with the Carnival effect came the host’s voice:
“Wow, wow! Thank you, Brother Simon, for the Carnival! Rescue successful! Congratulations to Fu Fu on her 10-Winning Streak!”
“Thank you, Big Brother, for showing up in the livestream for the first time and making a move! Brother S is awesome!”
Seeing the Carnival effect appear on the screen, Jiang Fu was also pleasantly surprised. What’s more, this user named Simon was a level 0 first-time gifter—an unexpected and delightful surprise.
After the host finished speaking, Jiang Fu picked up the microphone, bowed slightly to the camera, and said:
“Thank you, Brother Simon, for the Carnival. It was timely and a wonderful surprise.”
After speaking, she raised her other hand to her cheek and made a heart shape with her fingers.
On the bullet screen:
【Simon: No need to thank me. You deserve it.】
At this moment, Miao Miao also reacted, and the next second, the Set Sail for Love effect appeared on the screen:
【Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish: Just a gift. I was originally planning to use it to save my wife.】
Seeing Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish’s bullet comment, Jiang Fu quickly expressed her gratitude:
“Thank you, Meow Meow Wife, for the Set Sail for Love. My wife has already protected me so well~”
【Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish: Hehe.】
Jiang Fu’s tenth-round crowdfunding was much simpler than everyone had imagined. Originally requiring 26,000 points, the Carnival’s 30,000 points plus the Set Sail for Love’s 10,000 points far exceeded the needed score.
Along with Simon’s gift notification, the bullet comments kept updating:
“Oh my god, a new account, and the first gift is a Carnival! I’ve never seen that before!”
“Beauty truly is invincible~”
“That was so fast, cleared in just two seconds.”
“Princess Miao Miao is so doting.”
“Ahhh, Fu Fu’s voice is so nice~”
“If I had money, I’d gift too.”
…
After Jiang Fu finished speaking, the host, A Long, moved on to the next part of the program:
“Congratulations to our Fu Fu for achieving a 10-Winning Streak! Thank you, Brother S and Princess Miao Miao! Next is Fu Fu’s solo dance time.”
Jiang Fu’s solo dance was to “Hush.” As the music started, she quickly got into the groove, her long legs tapping left and right, her movements still captivating.
Halfway through the dance, the middle of the screen was suddenly dominated by the Carnival effect, covering half of Jiang Fu’s body.
Even after Jiang Fu finished the entire dance, the Carnival effect lingered without disappearing.
“Once again, thank you, Brother S, for supporting the streamer! Thank you, Brother S, for sending 32 sets of Carnivals! Thank you, Brother S, for the Carnival rain! Brother S is invincible! Brother S is awesome!” the host, A Long, exclaimed passionately.
In less than five minutes, 33 Carnivals were sent, totaling 100,000 in spending. Simon’s account also jumped from level 0 to level 39!
“Congratulations to Brother S for reaching level 39! Sending off the level-up salute!”
Immediately, a salute was launched from the side of the stage, with confetti flying everywhere.
Reaching level 39 requires spending 90,000 to 100,000. With Carnivals costing 3,000 each, 33 of them add up perfectly.Receiving the legendary Huazi rain, it was impossible for Jiang Fu not to be excited.
Watching the continuous Carnival special effects on the screen, Jiang Fu still felt a sense of unreality, and her breathing grew slightly heavier.
Was this why everyone wanted to make money through live streaming?
Jiang Fu declared that being a streamer was truly amazing!
“So touching!”
“Is this the legendary Carnival rain? I’m laughing at my own poverty.”
“A hidden big shot!”
“Am I the only one concerned that Fu Fu’s dance was blocked? Sob sob.”
“666”
…
Ze Hui, the “Great Assassin” who had been in the stream without speaking, finally sent a comment:
[I underestimated the streamer.]
Coming back to her senses, Jiang Fu raised her hand to cover her open mouth in disbelief. Her wide eyes, with their long, fluttering lashes, blinked repeatedly.
Jiang Fu looked genuinely adorable, giving the gift-giver ample emotional feedback.
Who was this Simon? Another new account—was he truly spending in a stream for the first time, or was he an alt of some veteran player?
Jiang Fu couldn’t decide for the moment.
Encountering a new account that single-handedly boosts a streamer’s level during a live stream has both advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage is that this Big Brother must really like the streamer to level them up, making it highly likely they’ll continue supporting long-term.
The downside is if this Big Brother turns out to be an extreme type, thinking that spending a lot entitles them to meet offline or start a relationship with the streamer, it can be hard to shake off.
But for now, Jiang Fu didn’t know much about this Big Brother, so she decided to take things one step at a time and see whether to maintain the relationship based on future developments.
“Thank you, Brother S, for the Huazi rain! You’re so generous, Fu Fu doesn’t even know how to express her gratitude.
I just hope you enjoy yourself and have a great time. Fu Fu will work even harder to live up to your affection and support!
If you like Fu Fu, feel free to follow. We stream live every morning at 8 o’clock sharp~”
Jiang Fu noticed that Simon hadn’t followed the stream after joining.
Hearing Jiang Fu’s words, Simon replied in the chat with [Okay].
Seeing Simon’s response, Jiang Fu waved goodbye to the camera and stepped off the stage.
“Fu Fu, I never expected you’d get a guardian on your very first day of streaming. I’m so envious.”
Bai Qian, who had been waiting offstage, said to Jiang Fu.
“I believe you’ll find one too.” Jiang Fu looked at Bai Qian’s envious eyes and patted her head as she spoke.
Picking up her phone, Jiang Fu logged into Dream Entertainment B101’s stream using her personal account.
In the comments section, she tagged and thanked each of the ten people who had sent her Little Hearts, including the level 53 “Assassin” Big Brother, Ze Hui.
“Ze Hui: No need to thank me / awkward laugh.”
Fans familiar with Ze Hui knew this was his first failure.
As Ze Hui’s comment appeared, he quietly left the stream.
The audience in the stream, seeing Ze Hui’s move, mercilessly laughed at him:
“Hahahahaha” +10086After expressing her gratitude, Jiang Fu exited the livestream and returned to her personal homepage. To her surprise, not only had her personal account gained over 5,000 followers, but both Ze Hui and Simon had also followed her account.
What was even more unexpected was that Simon had not followed the official account of Team B.
Jiang Fu followed both of them back and then sent a message to Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish first:
【Fu: Meow Meow Wife, thank you for your Little Hearts and the Love’s Voyage! Without you, I wouldn’t have achieved my ten-game Winning Streak! Thank you so much! Would you like to add me on WeChat? If you’d rather not, that’s totally fine too / sad poking hands emoji】
【Miaomiao Loves to Eat Fish: Of course I’d love to, my beautiful wife~ Send it over quickly!】
After successfully adding Miao Miao on WeChat, the two chatted briefly. Jiang Fu learned that Miao Miao was still a university student and advised her to do what she could, not to spend too much on her behalf.
