· While Tobirama Senju was deep in thought, trying to figure out how to convince Ryan to keep Konoha involved in his interdimensional travels…

Ryan suddenly realized he was hungry.

He stood up, brushed the dust off his clothes, and said, “Let’s go get something to eat.” Tobirama replied instinctively, “I don’t need to.” As an Edo Tensei, he would never feel hunger.Full novel: From Konoha Through the Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Even if he ate something, he wouldn’t be able to taste it.

Ryan rolled his eyes.

“You don’t need food.” “I do.” With that, he left the park and searched for a nearby restaurant that looked busy.

In a world without social media influencers recommending places…

An empty restaurant didn’t necessarily mean the food was bad.

But a restaurant with a long line almost certainly served excellent food.

Otherwise…

So many people wouldn’t be willing to wait.

Ryan spent nearly half an hour standing in line before finally getting inside.

He ordered the restaurant’s signature Beef Fried Rice.

Perhaps because everyone in the One Piece world had enormous appetites…

The portion was astonishingly huge.

The plate alone measured nearly ten inches across.

Ryan stared speechlessly at the waiter delivering his meal.

“Do you have…

a smaller portion?” The waiter answered calmly, “Sir…” “This is the small portion.” Just then…

Another waiter walked past carrying a plate the size of a washbasin.

Ryan stared blankly.

“…Seriously?” After the waiter left, Ryan looked back at the mountain of fried rice in front of him and couldn’t help complaining.

“I don’t remember the food being this ridiculously huge when I read the manga.” Tobirama answered calmly, “The manga only showed a tiny fraction of this world.” That actually made sense.

Ryan stopped dwelling on it, picked up his spoon, and took his first bite.

The moment the rice entered his mouth…

His eyes widened.

It was delicious.

Incredibly delicious.

Every grain of rice was perfectly separated.

Soft.

Fragrant.

Coated in rich oil without feeling greasy.

The beef was tender enough to melt in his mouth while still retaining just enough chewiness to make every bite satisfying.

Most importantly…

It carried that unmistakable smoky wok aroma.

It was absolutely incredible.

Ryan had to admit…

The cuisine of the One Piece world was indeed superior to that of the Naruto world.

A random neighborhood restaurant already surpassed Ichiraku Ramen.

It was obvious that the ninja world simply couldn’t compete when it came to food.

Ryan immediately began eating with great enthusiasm.

However…

Before long…

Something unexpected happened.

He had eaten only about one-fifth of the fried rice…

Yet he was already full.

Ryan was certain he hadn’t eaten much.

Although the plate was enormous…

Based on his usual appetite, he should easily have finished at least half…

Possibly even two-thirds.

But now…

One-fifth was enough to fill him completely.

He couldn’t understand it.

“With an appetite like this, I’d belong at the kids’ table…” “You can’t eat anymore?” Tobirama, who had been watching him quietly, finally spoke.

Ryan nodded.

“Yeah.” “I’m completely full.” “Maybe I just don’t have much of an appetite today.” Tobirama shook his head.

“I don’t think your appetite is the issue.” “I believe the rice itself is.” Ryan looked puzzled.

“What do you mean?” Tobirama explained, “When I was reading the manga…” “I noticed something.” “The people of this world possess unbelievably powerful physiques.” “Some of them can fight continuously for several days and nights without showing signs of exhaustion.” “More importantly…” “They don’t possess chakra.” “They rely entirely on their physical strength.” “In the ninja world…” “That would be nearly impossible.” Most taijutsu specialists in the ninja world ultimately depended on chakra.

Even someone like Might Guy relied on chakra.

Without chakra…

Forget opening the Eight Gates.

He probably wouldn’t even be capable of using ordinary taijutsu effectively.

A single kunai would be enough to kill him.

A taijutsu master without chakra wasn’t much different from an ordinary civilian.

The One Piece world, however…

Was completely different.

Even without Devil Fruit powers…

There were countless masters of pure physical combat.

Many of them stood at the very pinnacle of the world.

Black Arm Zephyr.

Monkey D.

Garp.

Red-Haired Shanks.

All of them were perfect examples.

Even more astonishing…

Their recovery abilities were incredible.

Bones could be broken one day…

Yet after eating enough food and resting for a few days…

They would recover completely.

Compare that to the ninja world.

Even with chakra…

A broken bone still required one or two months to heal.

Unless a medical ninja was available…

Recovery simply couldn’t be accelerated.

The difference between the two worlds wasn’t even on the same level.

“So I’ve been wondering…” “Without a supernatural power like chakra…” “Where does the energy for healing and restoring stamina come from?” “I thought about it for a long time.” “And eventually…” “I arrived at only one possible answer.” Tobirama raised a finger.

“Food.” “Especially Sea Kings.” “They’re undoubtedly among the finest food sources in this world.” “I suspect the energy contained within a single Sea King exceeds anything we can imagine.” “But…” “Not everyone is capable of hunting Sea Kings.” “So I believe…” “The ordinary food of this world also contains enormous amounts of energy.” “In other words…” “The nutritional value of their food is several times greater than that of ordinary food in the ninja world.” “That’s why you became full after eating so little.” “It’s not because you lack an appetite.” “It’s because your body has already absorbed all the nutrients it currently needs.” After finishing his explanation, Tobirama sighed softly.

“If food like this were transported back to Konoha…” “The strength of Konoha’s ninja would increase explosively.” Ryan didn’t argue.

After all…

The origin of chakra had already been explained clearly.

Chakra was created by combining physical energy and spiritual energy.

Setting spiritual energy aside…

Physical energy was extracted directly from the body’s cells.

If enough food could continuously replenish that physical energy…

Then Konoha’s ninja would indeed experience explosive growth.

Many shinobi who had reached their limits would finally break through their bottlenecks.

If someone could eat food like this every single day…

Even an ordinary jōnin might eventually possess chakra reserves comparable to those of the Uzumaki Clan.

Conversely…

If the naturally monstrous humans of the One Piece world learned how to refine chakra…

Their chakra reserves might rival those of the Tailed Beasts.

The strongest among them…

Could very well surpass even the Tailed Beasts.

Thinking about it that way…

The One Piece world and the Naruto world truly complemented one another perfectly.

It should have been an exciting realization.

Yet…

For some reason…

Ryan couldn’t bring himself to feel happy.

The reason was simple.

He belonged to neither world.

He wasn’t a native of the Naruto world.

Nor was he a native of the One Piece world.

He couldn’t refine chakra.

And he certainly didn’t possess the absurd physique of a One Piece human.

How was he supposed to be happy about that?

At least…

Ryan wasn’t.

Fortunately…

He wasn’t the type of person to dwell on things endlessly.

It didn’t take long before he adjusted his mood.

He tossed those minor frustrations to the back of his mind…

And happily continued exploring the city.
