· The Super Spot-Billed Duck was an enormous turtle-like creature large enough to carry people on its back.

It was amphibious, capable of traveling freely across both land and sea.

When Nico Robin first appeared in the original story, this was the means of transportation she used.Full novel: From Konoha Through the Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

However…

It had one major drawback.

It offered no protection from either wind or rain.

Traveling between nearby islands wasn’t a problem.

But using it to cross the entire Grand Line was completely unrealistic.

So, after arriving at the port city of Nanohana in the Kingdom of Alabasta…

Traveling all the way to the Baratie in the East Blue on a Super Spot-Billed Duck simply wasn’t practical.

They still needed a ship.

Robin was just about to arrange one when Ryan stopped her.

“There’s no need.” He pointed toward Hashirama.

“With him here, why would we need to find a ship?” Hashirama burst into laughter and patted his chest confidently.

“Leave it to me!” Once they reached the shoreline…

Hashirama clapped his hands together.

“Wood Release: Ship Construction Technique!” In an instant…

A small wooden sailing ship rose directly from the ground and appeared before the three of them.

Strictly speaking…

There was no such thing as a “Ship Construction Technique” among Wood Release techniques.

But Hashirama had long since mastered Wood Release to an unbelievable degree.

Building a ship with Wood Release was as effortless to him as eating or drinking.

If Yamato could use Wood Release to build houses…

Then Hashirama could naturally build ships as well.

Ryan couldn’t help thinking…

If Hashirama ever decided to open a shipyard…

Every other shipbuilder in the world would probably go out of business.

A normal shipyard needed weeks…

Sometimes months…

To gather materials, process lumber, assemble the vessel, and finally launch it.

Hashirama, on the other hand…

As long as he had the design…

Could create an entire warship in an instant.

No one could possibly compete with that.

Fortunately…

Even as carefree as Hashirama was…

There was no way he would abandon life as a ninja to become a shipbuilder.

Every shipyard in the world should be grateful for that.

With their sailing ship complete…

The three of them set sail and headed toward Reverse Mountain.

It was Ryan’s first time traveling by sea.

And aboard a wooden sailing ship at that.

The experience immediately felt exciting.

Unfortunately…

It didn’t last long.

Before long…

Dizziness…

Nausea…

And all the familiar symptoms began appearing one after another.

Ryan suddenly realized something shocking.

He…

Might actually get seasick.

“…Seriously?” That was the last thing he had expected.

He had never imagined he would suffer from seasickness.

“It’s perfectly normal.” Robin spoke calmly.

“It’s your first time on a ship.” “Eat some fruit.” Ryan couldn’t help complaining.

“Is this really something fruit can fix?” Robin shrugged.

“What else can we do?” “We don’t exactly have seasickness medicine onboard.” Her words reminded Ryan of something.

There wasn’t any seasickness medicine on this ship…

But his own world certainly had some.

Without wasting another second…

He returned home, visited a pharmacy, and bought a box of motion sickness medicine.

After taking it…

He waited half an hour for it to take effect.

Only then did he reopen the bedroom door and return to the ship.

The moment he stepped back onto the deck…

An icy wind swept across his body.

The freezing cold arrived so suddenly that Ryan couldn’t help sneezing violently.

He looked up…

And froze.

Just moments earlier…

The sea had been beneath a cloudless blue sky.

Now…

Heavy snow was falling.

Thick layers of snow covered the deck, turning everything into a silver-white winter landscape.

Robin had already changed into thick winter clothing.

She calmly explained, “The weather on the Grand Line is like this.” “A clear blue sky and a blizzard can be separated by only a few moments.” “Didn’t the manga mention that?” Ryan fell silent.

…Well…

She wasn’t wrong.

The manga really had explained that.

The problem was…

He had completely forgotten.

It had been such a tiny detail buried within hundreds of chapters.

Who would have expected that one day…

He would actually enter the Grand Line himself…

And personally experience such ridiculous weather?

For a moment…

Ryan didn’t even know how to complain.

In the end…

He hurried back to his own world once again and changed into a thick down jacket before returning.

As for Hashirama…

He was an Edo Tensei.

Neither scorching heat nor freezing cold affected him in the slightest.

Changing clothes wasn’t even necessary.

And so…

The three continued sailing across the Grand Line for several more days.

Naturally…

Under the Grand Line’s constantly changing weather…

Ryan caught a cold.

Looking at Ryan lying in bed with a fever…

Robin couldn’t help teasing him.

“Your body really is fragile.” Ryan rolled his eyes.

How was this his fault?

If anyone was to blame…

It was the Grand Line’s insane weather.

No wonder so few pirates from the Four Blues ever returned after entering the Grand Line.

It wasn’t because they didn’t want to.

Most of them probably died before they ever had the chance.

The weather alone was enough to drive anyone mad.

He simply couldn’t take it anymore.

“I’ve decided…” Ryan thought it over carefully before making his decision.

“I’m taking a break.” “I won’t be coming back to the Grand Line for now.” “When you finally reach the East Blue…” “I’ll come find you again.” Robin looked at Ryan’s weakened condition and sighed.

“I suppose that’s for the best.” Thus…

Ryan remained at home recovering peacefully.

Two days later…

His cold had completely disappeared.

He opened the bedroom door and briefly checked on the One Piece world.

The sailing ship was still making its way through the Grand Line.

So he returned home…

Played video games…

And read manga.

For the next several days…

He checked on the One Piece world once every day.

As long as the ship was still sailing through the Grand Line…

He simply went back home and enjoyed his games.

Occasionally…

He also visited the Naruto world.

Entering Orochimaru’s secret laboratory…

He asked about the progress of the Devil Fruit research.

Tobirama smiled.

“Everything is progressing smoothly.” “If nothing unexpected happens…” “We should soon unravel the secrets of Devil Fruits.” “We may even be able to create entirely new Devil Fruits.” Naturally…

Ryan became curious.

“How soon is ‘soon’?” The moment he asked…

Tobirama’s smile vanished.

He didn’t answer another word.

Ryan immediately understood.

Wisely…

He chose not to ask any further questions.

It seemed that researching Devil Fruits was still a long road ahead.

And so…

Ryan happily lazed around for another four days.

One morning…

After getting out of bed…

He went downstairs for breakfast.

He also bought breakfast for Robin before returning to the One Piece world.

When he found Robin standing on the deck…

She smiled warmly.

“We’ve arrived in the East Blue.” Ryan turned around.

Sure enough…

A magnificent mountain stood proudly before them.

Reverse Mountain.

Only then did he realize…

While he had been peacefully sleeping back in his own world the previous night…

Robin and Hashirama had successfully navigated their sailing ship over Reverse Mountain…

And entered the East Blue.
