Damien stared at the four-armed demon for a long moment, his glowing goggles humming softly.
In his perspective, countless lines and calculations rapidly overlaid the creature — weak points highlighted in red, strike angles, force requirements.
”Three major weak points,” he muttered.
“Center mass, left shoulder joint, base of the neck.”
In one fluid motion, Damien spun into a whirlwind strike.
His cleaver flashed like a black arc of death.
SWOOSH—SLASH—SLASH—SLASH!
The demon didn’t even have time to scream.
Its four arms were severed in an instant, followed by a clean cut through its neck.
Dark blood splattered across the walls and floor as the body collapsed into pieces.
Damien flicked the blood off his cleaver and fixed his coat collar with his free hand.
“Too slow,” he said flatly.
Akira watched in stunned silence.
Saki’s eyes were wide.
”…That was over in seconds,” Saki muttered.
Akira swallowed.
Damien glanced at both of them, cigarette still between his lips.
“Don’t get cocky just because I make it look easy.
Watch and learn.”
He walked ahead, then stepped aside and gestured toward another closed classroom door.
“Akira.
You’re up next.”
”Me?!” Akira said, surprised.
Damien tapped the door with his cleaver.
“Second demon.
Go.”
Akira took a deep breath and slowly slid the door open.
The moment the door opened, a hulking, grotesque demon with jagged bone spikes all over its body slowly turned its head.
Its multiple eyes locked onto Akira.
It let out a deep, guttural roar that shook the walls, then charged straight at him like a freight train.
Akira closed his eyes for a brief second, focusing every ounce of strength into his right fist.
”Focus your entire strength — every muscle, every drop of spiritual energy — and channel it into a single fist.
The stronger your base power and the better your flow, the bigger the impact.”
”KINETIC BLAST!” Akira shouted.
BOOOOOOOOM!!!
His fist slammed forward.
The air itself cracked as a massive wave of kinetic energy exploded outward.
The entire classroom was devastated — desks shattered, walls crumbled, and the floor cracked violently.
The demon was blasted backward, smashing through multiple walls before it stopped moving.
Damien’s eyes widened slightly behind his goggles, though he stayed quiet.
Saki’s eyes widened in pure shock.
Her body tensed up instinctively from the sheer pressure of the blast.
The red scarf around Akira’s neck glowed faintly as Gashin stirred with dark amusement inside him.
The dust slowly settled.
The hallway fell into heavy silence.
Akira stood there, breathing hard, staring at the destruction his punch had caused.
