In this work, all characters are adults except for those explicitly defined as children; the ages of the main characters are astronomical figures.

There are my own headcanons further down for the plot’s sake: In Fate/Grand Order, Tiamat is the final boss of the Seventh Singularity, ‘Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia,’ with a setting that blends mythological elements with original plotlines.

Character Background: Originally the Mother Goddess of Creation in Mesopotamia, she was exiled to the Imaginary Number World after being betrayed by the gods.

Core Abilities: Self-Modification (EX Rank): Can switch between a human form (160cm) and a dragon form (74 million km).

Author’s added setting: Progenitor of Dragons (this isn’t explicitly stated in the official background, so I’ll define it here for the plot).

Nega-Genesis: A conceptual bounded field that subverts the theory of evolution.

Author’s added setting: In her prime as the Mother of Creation, if she gets serious, she can subvert the fundamental conceptual laws of the universe, including but not limited to time and space.

(This is a universal cheat code for the other female lead, Lumine, but during her recovery period in Teyvat, it won’t be that exaggerated, and she will only use powerful forces on rare occasions.) Noble Phantasm (Ultimate) ‘Nammu Duranki: O Brave Son, Disobey the Laws of Creation’: Launches a super-strong AoE attack and applies Buff Block; one must use invincibility skills to avoid the damage.

There is another subversive Noble Phantasm, ‘Nega-Genesis,’ which won’t be used unless the universe is facing destruction.

Currently, there shouldn’t be any game or anime plot exaggerated to that extent, right?

Tiamat first appeared in the ancient Babylonian epic ‘Enuma Elish’ (unlike our legends of the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou, Mesopotamian mythology has stone tablet evidence, making it the oldest verifiable mythology.

In this myth, the world was initially a boundless ocean.) The core of the Tiamat myth is: Creation Divinity: As the incarnation of the Salt Sea, she united with the god of the Sweet Sea, Apsu, to give birth to the gods (including Marduk).

Later, because the gods were too noisy (the Father God felt the children were too loud), a plan was made to kill them, but she was instead slain by Marduk.

(This text will use gods from other worlds to replace them.) Tiamat also later created some deformed demonic gods to wage war against her children and was subsequently defeated.

She was also slain by Marduk.

Symbolic Meaning: Her corpse was divided into heaven and earth, representing the transition from chaos to order, directly influencing the creation narrative of the Bible’s Genesis.

She can be understood as a combination of China’s Nuwa, Kuafu, and Pangu, except Tiamat didn’t split the heavens; she was the one being split.

Meaning of the Name: In Semitic languages, ‘Tiamat’ means ‘Mother of Life,’ embodying her attribute as the source of all things.

(Since the pronunciation can also be ‘Ti-Ammat,’ and ‘Amma’ means mother in many countries, after much consideration, I will mostly use ‘Tiamama’ as her name hereafter.

‘Ti-Ma’ doesn’t sound very good in many dialogues; at least it felt strange when I was listening to the audiobook.) Author’s Setting for this Text: Tiamama is the one and only Mother Goddess of Creation.

After the cosmic singularity exploded, various laws were born amidst a hazy chaos; Tiamat is the will born from the concept of ‘Life’ among them.

She is the first living being born in the long ages.

She is the child of the universe.

Her body integrated and inscribed almost all cosmic conceptual laws; many subsequent laws were even born with the help of her body.

Driven by the concept of ‘Life’ that almost transcends all other concepts, her soul gradually formed.

Only then did Tiamat gain basic thought.

Driven by instinct, she created the original gods and gave them authorities or powers that would seem extremely powerful to later lifeforms.

She guided the original gods to open up worlds within the chaos and create new life.

Author’s Setting for this Text: Tiamama’s children (the creation gods of several worlds) gradually acquired so-called intellect during the long process of creating and observing life.

They learned to think, began to have a concept of matter, and gradually developed needs.

For example, their first need was to perfect their worlds; they wanted larger, more stable worlds to observe.

They began to communicate, think together, and exchange experiences.

Until a god named ‘Yuan,’ who shared a similar form to their mother and was endowed by her with more concepts of wisdom, proposed: ‘Our worlds might never truly be born because they lack too many things—conceptual laws, matter, and energy.

Although we continuously create life, all attempts have failed without exception.

Because these current worlds have no stable structure and cannot contain the lives we create.’ ‘The world needs these mediums to stabilize.

And we do not have the ability to create these mediums; they were born along with the universe.

Our mother, as the first living being, is composed of these mediums.’ At first, the gods only treated this as a line of thought from ‘Yuan,’ thinking they could develop more ideas.

Subconsciously, they did not want to act on Yuan’s hypothesis because it meant harming their Mother Goddess.

However, a long time passed, and although Tiamama did her best to help her children, ‘Creation’ still made no progress, only producing meaningless, fleeting lives.

Tiamama and her children gradually discovered that Tiamama’s existence was also an obstacle to their creation of worlds.

She was too powerful; she was the child of the universe, possessing most of the cosmic mediums and concepts.

Even if she separated these mediums and integrated them into those worlds, they would gradually return to her.

Finally, ‘Yuan’ proposed that plan again—the plan to completely kill their mother.

After a long silence, the ‘Dragon God,’ the most powerful among these gods, decided to execute the plan, and the other gods agreed one by one over the long years.

Finally, the first war in the universe broke out—a war of matricide.

The original gods led the lives they had created to launch the most magnificent war in history against their mother.

Tiamat was deeply pained by her children’s rebellion; her most beloved children wanted to kill her.

Out of the instinct for survival, she resisted, fighting against her children with some of the lives she had later created.

The war erupted completely in a corner of the universe, and these gods finally experienced their mother’s terrifying side.

With just a wave of her hand, space shattered and laws were annihilated.

But Tiamama was always their mother.

she could not bring herself to truly harm the children who had accompanied her for so many years.

The gods fled heavily wounded countless times, but their essence was never harmed.

Their dependents were not so lucky.

Tiamama’s power left an indelible shadow on the ‘third and fourth generation gods’ who survived the war.

The powers they were so proud of were nothing before the Source of All.

Tiamama’s strength surpassed their understanding.

In the end, these gods still won.

Tiamama saw the unyielding will of her children; they had truly grown up.

And she herself had indeed become a so-called ‘obstacle.’ Despite her immense reluctance, Tiamama accepted her fate and lost to her children in the final battle.

The ‘Dragon God’ used the claws endowed by his mother with the concept of destroying all things to dismember Tiamat’s massive body.

However, they could not annihilate Tiamama’s soul because her soul was the transcendent concept of ‘Life’ in the universe.

They could not destroy it, nor should they.

To prevent Tiamama’s body from reassembling along with her soul, ‘Yuan’ proposed another concept, the concept of ‘Void’—where there is no space, no time, and no concepts or powers can be used.

Thus, the gods united to seal Tiamat’s soul within this concept of the Void.

They overestimated their power.

Although they held great strength, it was given to them by their mother, and by the universe to their mother.

Without their mother’s help, they could not even touch the concept of the ‘Void.’ At the very end, it was Tiamama who discovered and invoked this concept to seal herself within the Void.

Before leaving, her soul conveyed maternal love to all her children and left her final blessing—part of the concept of ‘Creation’—to her first few children.

Afterward, she entered that most desperate prison.

Over the long years, she only wailed in pain amidst the void and cold, but not even a sound could escape from there.

She chose to fall into an endless slumber.

Until an unexpected miracle occurred…

…

…

Her children used her physical matter and the laws contained within as a foundation to create their worlds.

The powerful ‘Dragon God’ obtained the most mediums and created six massive worlds.

Next was ‘Yuan,’ who used the mediums of two worlds to create a single enormous world and managed it with care, creating the laws of his world.

(They could not create conceptual laws like time or space, but they could create laws like elements, kinetic energy, and thermal energy.) The weakest god received the mother’s heart.

Although its energy was also immense, it was actually the most fragile part, with the conceptual laws consisting mostly of life and love.

Therefore, the world he created was unstable and small in scale.

In the following years, he constantly sought ways to repair this world he loved, and in the end, it was only after he sacrificed his life that this weak world was completely stabilized.

During the long ages, the several gods each managed their own worlds with little communication, occasionally fighting over world mediums.

After the worlds stabilized, having lost the duties assigned by their mother, almost all of them chose to stay behind the scenes, no longer interfering with the self-evolution and reproduction of life.

After the lifeforms in these worlds evolved to a certain stage, they all developed a certain form—the human form, a form similar to their mother and ‘Yuan.’ Perhaps out of guilt toward their mother, or perhaps due to the favoritism of the world, these humanoid creatures often relied on themselves or occasional care from the gods to gain intellect far exceeding other creatures, thereby becoming the dominant lifeforms of the world.
