“Dragonspine…

it’s said to be the burial ground of the dragon Durin.” Stelle looked at the map in her hand and the towering snow-covered mountain ahead, a faint ripple stirring in her heart.

She had walked for an entire day.Full novel: Genshin Impact: Succubus Stelle — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

From morning until now, it was already night.

Judging by the time on her phone, it had been nearly thirteen hours.

Of course, the actual distance between Dragonspine and Mondstadt was quite far.

An ordinary person definitely wouldn’t be able to make the journey in just a dozen hours like she did.

After all, Stelle had promised Amber she would return within three days, so she naturally picked up the pace and took mostly straight routes.

In other words, she had crossed mountains and ridges directly instead of following established paths.

No matter what, she had finally reached the foot of the mountain.

She was still wearing the same outfit—still in that short skirt of hers.

By this point, she could already feel a trace of the biting cold, but for someone with the power of a Pathstrider, this level of chill was nothing.

Compared to Vision holders, she might even have an advantage in this regard.

“But a snow mountain at night really is spectacular…” Stelle gazed up at the massive peaks in the distance, momentarily lost in thought.

It reminded her of the snowfields of Belobog, though that place was even colder.

Shaking her head, she pulled herself out of her memories and continued forward.

The sooner she dealt with that Frostarm Lawachurl, the better.

Even after walking all day, she didn’t feel particularly tired.

According to the map, there should be an adventurers’ camp at the foot of the mountain…

“Ah, there it is.” Not long after, Stelle spotted the camp marked on the map.

It was brightly lit, standing out in the darkness.

It looked like they were in the middle of preparing food.

“Hm?

You are…” A girl in an Adventurers’ Guild uniform quickly noticed Stelle.

She set down what she was holding and looked at Stelle with a hint of caution.

“I’m an adventurer from Mondstadt.

I accepted a commission related to Dragonspine.” Since she had already been noticed, Stelle simply walked over.

“An adventurer?

There shouldn’t have been any commissions for Dragonspine recently…

wait, don’t tell me you took that one about the Frostarm Lawachurl?” The person who looked like a cook suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

“Yeah.

A subjugation request for a Frostarm Lawachurl.” Stelle nodded, casually observing the people in the camp.

They seemed to be led by the female adventurer, while the others didn’t look particularly combat-capable.

“Are you alone?” A bespectacled man glanced around before asking.

“Just me.” “Come sit with us first, young lady.” The female adventurer sized Stelle up before inviting her over.

Stelle didn’t refuse.

She nodded and walked over to sit at the tables and chairs where they were gathered.

“My name is Iris.

I don’t think I’ve seen you before.” The female adventurer introduced herself and sat across from Stelle.

“Looks like this is your first time in Dragonspine.” “Uh, yeah.” After a moment’s thought, Stelle decided not to mention that she had only recently become an adventurer.

“How much do you know about this place?” Iris asked, her brows slightly furrowed.

She had seen many adventurers like Stelle—first-timers coming to Dragonspine.

Quite a few would turn back halfway.

Some who refused to listen to advice never made it out.

Over time, as an experienced adventurer, Iris had taken it upon herself to warn newcomers or those who were overconfident.

This was a place anyone could enter, but not everyone could leave safely.

“To be honest, not much.” Stelle smiled awkwardly and answered truthfully.

After accepting the commission, she had set out the very next day without much preparation.

Hearing this, Iris’s frown deepened.

The girl in front of her seemed to completely underestimate the dangers here.

She planned to give her a proper warning, lest this cute young girl meet a tragic end here.

“This place is extremely dangerous.

In such freezing temperatures, your body heat will rapidly drain…” Iris suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

She stared blankly at Stelle’s face, momentarily losing focus.

She hadn’t taken a close look before, but now that their eyes met…

her heart began to race uncontrollably.

“Miss Iris?” Stelle looked at her in confusion, a bad feeling rising in her chest.

Had her peculiar constitution activated again?

But Iris clearly looked like a mature woman, not someone like Lumine or Amber.

Logically, that shouldn’t be the case.

Rosaria, after all, had been unaffected…

“A-anyway, courage shouldn’t be mistaken for recklessness.

If you’re not fully prepared, I hope you won’t go up there rashly,” Iris regained her composure and hurriedly continued.

“That’s right, young lady.

And a Frostarm Lawachurl is far too dangerous.

How can you handle it alone?” the cook beside her chimed in.

“It’s fine.

I’m pretty strong.” Stelle shook her head, not accepting their advice.

“But you don’t even have a Vision.

How strong can you really be?” Iris couldn’t help but say.

“Many people blessed by the gods have died on this mountain.

You must think it through.

You’re still young…” “By the way, what exactly does your team do?” Instead of answering directly, Stelle changed the topic with curiosity.

“We’re employed by the Knights of Favonius to conduct historical research on Dragonspine,” the bespectacled young man replied.

“Mm, he’s the main scholar in charge of research—his name is Stevens,” the chubby cook nodded, then smiled at Stelle.

“I’m the cook here, Harris.” “The commission about the Frostarm Lawachurl was actually submitted by us after we investigated the situation.” “Oh?

So you know where that Frostarm Lawachurl is?” Stelle’s eyes lit up as she asked eagerly.

“Well…

we do know.” “Then please point me in the right direction.

I’ll go deal with it now.

If everything goes well, I should be able to head back tomorrow.” “…” For a moment, Iris and the others couldn’t tell whether the girl in front of them was overly arrogant—or genuinely capable.

After all, how was someone without a Vision supposed to defeat a Frostarm Lawachurl alone?
