As Stormterror departed, the several black tornadoes wreaking havoc within Mondstadt dissipated as well.

Jiang Chen slowly descended to the ground, the wind glider behind him emitting a cracking sound before shattering into pieces and falling off.

Lumine glided down, asking with some concern.

“It’s nothing serious.”

Jiang Chen raised his hands to look; the webbing between his thumbs and forefingers on both hands had split open, blood oozing out.

Having directly slapped down a massive creature like Stormterror, he had endured a corresponding amount of recoil force.

He just hadn’t expected the power of the Four Winds’ temple to be so strong, preventing Stormterror from suffering any real harm from such an attack.

“You’re injured.”

Lumine tore a strip from her own skirt and carefully began to bandage him.

Jiang Chen had no choice but to let her do it.

He had originally planned to go find Barbara.

That way, the wound could heal quickly.

But going to find her now, after this, would feel a bit inappropriate.

He couldn’t very well disregard Lumine’s thoughtful gesture of bandaging him, could he?

“Jiang Chen, Lumine!”

Amber came running from a distance.

Seeing the wind glider shattered all over the ground, she patted her chest in relief and said, “Forcing the wind glider like that…

I’m glad it didn’t break apart right there in the air.”

Everyone had witnessed the battle above Mondstadt.

“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”

Jiang Chen said with a smile.

Lumine, who was still bandaging him, poked his wound in slight annoyance, signaling him not to boast.

“Stormterror actually attacked the city directly…”

Amber looked around at the surroundings, her expression turning very grave.

Although Stormterror had already left, dark clouds still hung over Mondstadt.

The area was very dim, and the usually gentle breeze had now turned cold.

*Clap…

clap…

clap…*

From the stairs leading up to the Statue of the Anemo Archon plaza, the sound of applause suddenly rang out.

Kaeya walked up, clapping his hands.

“Leaving aside Boss Jiang Chen, this unfamiliar traveler actually possesses the strength to fight a dragon.”

“Are you our guest, or a new storm?”

Kaeya’s gaze fixed on Lumine, as if trying to see right through her.

“And you are?”

Lumine asked, puzzled.

“The Ice-Crossing Sea-Treading Adeptus.”

“Oh, I see…”

Although Lumine was a bit confused by the title, she still nodded.

“Boss Jiang Chen, I’ve told you not to just give me random nicknames and then casually introduce me to others like that!”

Kaeya nearly stumbled, quickly correcting him: “Kaeya, Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius.”

“Oh, hello.

I’m Lumine.”

Lumine replied.

“Is Lumine…

one of Boss Jiang Chen’s people?”

Kaeya asked, watching her meticulous bandaging.

Lumine nodded.

She remembered that using Jiang Chen’s name in Mondstadt could get her a lot of help and convenience.

Sure enough, she saw that the Cavalry Captain Kaeya’s gaze was the same.

His initial wariness towards her seemed to have vanished.

“The thing is…”

Amber kindly recounted the story of Lumine being separated from her brother.

“I see.

Welcome to Mondstadt, but unfortunately, you’ve come at a bad time.”

“I won’t press you with any more questions.

In any case, allow me, on behalf of the Knights of Favonius, to thank you for repelling Stormterror.”

Kaeya said, placing one arm across his chest.

“So, what about the reward!?”

Paimon demanded, hands on her hips, looking perfectly justified.

She remembered that helping Amber clear out the Hilichurl camp earlier had earned them a wind glider and a promise of Honey-Glazed Carrot Steak!

“Hmm…

Mondstadt’s specialty, Honey-Glazed Carrot Steak?”

Kaeya suggested.

“Honey-Glazed Carrot Steak again?”

Paimon waved her hand.

“I don’t mind!

That way, we’ll have two servings!”

“Hahaha!”

Kaeya couldn’t help but laugh at the little one’s antics.

It took him a moment to compose himself before he said, “If it’s convenient for Boss Jiang Chen and Lumine, could you come to the Knights of Favonius headquarters?

The Acting Grand Master has sent me to invite you.”

“Jean?”

Lumine looked towards Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen said.

He looked down at his hands.

Lumine’s bandaging technique was really quite poor; they were wrapped up like zongzi.

There was no way he could hold a sword like this.

Lumine seemed to realize they looked a bit unsightly, and her face flushed slightly.

…

Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

Acting Grand Master’s Office.

“Jean, there’s no need to be so anxious.

Since you’re meeting Jiang Chen and that traveler in your capacity as Acting Grand Master, just stay put in the office.”

Lisa, lounging on the railing of the library area, said lazily while leaning on the handrail.

Jean, who had already reached the door, had no choice but to turn back.

“Stormterror seems to be active outside the city as well.

After I see them, I want to get started as soon as possible…”

“No need to rush.

I’ll be helping out later too.”

Lisa interrupted her, looking towards the door.

“See?

Here they come.”

From the doorway came the sound of multiple footsteps.

Kaeya pushed the door open and reported, “Acting Grand Master, I’ve brought them.”

“Finally here…”

Jean’s restless mood settled a little, and a relieved smile appeared on her face.

“Lumine, we meet again so soon.”

“Yeah.”

“And this is Lisa, the librarian of the Knights of Favonius.”

Jean introduced her.

She was a beauty dressed in a blue-purple mage’s outfit, her brown hair tied in a single braid that fell over her shoulder, with emerald-like eyes and a voluptuous, alluring figure.

Seeing the part below her delicate collarbone and the snowy white thighs exposed above her knee-high black stockings, even Lumine blushed a little, feeling a bit insecure.

“Hello.” Lumine said.

“Oh my, is this the good child who’s come to help because we’re short-staffed?” Lisa said with a charming smile.

“How adorable.”

“And Jiang Chen.”

Lisa walked over, draped her arm over his shoulder, and leaned close to his ear, saying, “Finally decided to come see me, have you?”

*Ahem, ahem.*

The sound of Jean and Lumine clearing their throats echoed in the room.
