Lisa’s generous warmth pressed against his arm.

Jiang Chen cleared his throat.

“It seems that ever since Stormterror appeared, you’ve been visiting the Good Hunter less often.

Jiang Chen’s heart has already been stolen by someone else!”

Lisa spoke with a hint of grievance, casting a meaningful glance toward Jean.

“Lisa, is it really appropriate to talk about slacking off in front of Amber and the others?”

Jean indicated that they should mind the occasion—there were junior knights of the Order present.

Lisa had always made a habit of slipping off to the Good Hunter during teatime.

That alone was one thing.

But she never brought back anything for her!

Even she, Jean, could accumulate a little dissatisfaction.

“Actually, everyone in the Knights knows…”

Amber said awkwardly.

Lisa was famously lazy whenever she could get away with it, and she loved ordering others around.

Yet, when it came to work, she always performed flawlessly, leaving no room for criticism.

She was one of Amber’s role models!

“This isn’t slacking off.

Proper rest is meant to recharge your energy so you can work better.

It’s a method that yields twice the results with half the effort.”

Lisa explained, then added with a lecturing tone, “If possible, I hope Jean could learn a thing or two!”

“Mhm, mhm.”

Jiang Chen nodded in agreement.

Jean was utterly speechless.

“How did the topic suddenly turn into a critique of me?”

“After all, everyone’s nerves have been on edge lately.

A little joke and some relaxation are good things,” Lisa said with a cheerful smile.

“But Lumine, your timing for arriving in Mondstadt isn’t exactly ideal.”

“Ever since Stormterror awakened, it’s been active outside the city, causing chaos.

Especially after that recent commotion, the elemental flow and ley line circulation around Mondstadt have become as tangled as a ball of yarn a cat has played with.”

“For a mage, this is the worst possible scenario.

Lisa finished speaking and turned her gaze to Jiang Chen, dropping an obvious hint.

That guy wanted to drink a beauty-enhancing iced beverage!

“Qingxin flowers are out of stock lately.”

Jiang Chen spread his hands.

Jean pressed her forehead, at a loss with the two of them.

She said, “In any case, given this situation, aside from helping put up missing person notices, the Knights of Favonius can’t offer you much more assistance.”

“Feel free to stay in Mondstadt for now.

Once we’ve resolved matters, we’ll do our utmost to help you find clues.”

She added.

For Lumine and Paimon, who had defended Mondstadt City and its people under Stormterror’s threat, Jean felt guilty that she couldn’t help them right away.

“Jiang Chen?”

Lumine turned to him for his opinion.

“Lumine should help too,” Jiang Chen said.

Since he needed to level up anyway, going out into the wilds or exploring ruins made no difference to him.

“Exactly, exactly!

We want to join in too!” Paimon chimed in.

She had noticed that the Knights of Favonius were quite generous with rewards!

Lumine nodded.

“So, Boss Jiang Chen is willing to help as well?” Kaeya asked.

“The Good Hunter is right here in Mondstadt,” Jiang Chen said matter-of-factly.

Leaving aside the distant future, for now—

The reputation of Mondstadt’s citizens and the Good Hunter’s name were both sources of his Mora.

Naturally, he had to care about them.

“That’s wonderful.” Kaeya felt a weight lift from his shoulders.

“In that case, let’s draw up a battle plan.”

Jean took over the conversation.

“Stormterror’s attack on Mondstadt this time has actually given us an opportunity to see the source of the disaster.

Under Lisa’s magical detection, the hurricane enveloping Mondstadt has revealed its origin.”

“And the answer is?” Kaeya raised an eyebrow.

“The abandoned temples of the Four Winds!” Lisa replied.

Jean nodded.

“Our targets are three of these four abandoned temples.

Everyone should understand why we’re only choosing three.”

“I don’t understand!”

Paimon raised her hand.

“It must be some kind of code,” Lumine whispered to her.

“We’ll ask later.”

Jean began to lay out the detailed plan.

“Having Jiang Chen and Lumine join us is a huge help.

We’re severely short-handed right now.”

Knights of Favonius had to remain stationed in Mondstadt City for protection.

After the recent dragon disaster, aside from dealing with the aftermath, the main priority was to keep the Fatui delegation within the city in check, preventing them from causing trouble while the city’s defenses were weakened.

“Amber, you’ll be in charge of the nearest temple.

After completing the initial reconnaissance, you must wait for Jiang Chen and Lumine before taking action.

Understood?”

“Understood.”

Amber nodded.

The temple closest to Mondstadt City was also the safest—she knew that well.

Jean had considered her strength.

“As for the remaining two…”

“Leave them to Kaeya and me.”

Lisa volunteered.

“After all, I did say I’d help.”

“I have no objections either.”

Kaeya said with interest, “The abandoned temples suddenly being put to use—it feels like there’s a mastermind pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I’ll find out.”

“Then there’s no time to lose.

The storm is raging, and passive defense is pointless.

Before the dragon disaster spreads further, we’ll take the initiative and march toward the ruins of the abandoned temples.”

Jean declared.
