Jiang Chen checked the system panel.

Amber had just taken down three Wooden Shield Hilichurls on the outer platform alongside Lumine, and then handled another three on her own, jumping two levels in one go.

Lumine was the same, now at Lv4.

Having seen Fischl’s progress earlier, he knew the early levels were relatively easy to gain, so nothing here surprised him.

“Here.”

Lumine pulled a white handkerchief embroidered with golden flowers from her pocket and handed it to Amber.

“Shouldn’t you be the one needing it?”

Amber laughed.

Without hesitation, she wiped the sweat from her face with her sleeve.

After fighting Slimes and Hilichurls, then trading blows with Hilichurl archers, Lumine was just as disheveled.

“I’m fine.”

Lumine shook her head.

She looked toward the other exit of the hall, her brows furrowing slightly.

There was only a short platform there, beyond which lay a sheer cliff with no path forward.

But a Pyro monument stood on it.

“As expected.

Since this is an old temple, there must be a way up.”

Amber immediately grasped the key.

She drew an arrow.

A charged shot flew straight into the Pyro monument.

Flames ignited the monument.

From below the cliff, a sudden gust of wind surged upward.

The ground beneath their feet trembled, nearly throwing them off balance.

“A mechanism?”

Lumine realized.

“That’s right.

Let’s glide up!”

Amber spread her wind glider and leaped into the air.

“Let’s go.”

Jiang Chen said.

He followed close behind, letting the updraft carry him to the hall at the temple’s highest point.

“That’s the condensation point of the dragon’s aura!”

“According to Lisa, Stormterror must be using this to draw on the temple’s residual power.”

Amber pointed to a dark green stone at the center of the hall, wrapped in swirling Anemo energy. You are reading on novelpin‌g.com, the official source.

She drew another charged arrow.

Using the reaction between Pyro and Anemo, she shattered the stone.

Then she let out a sigh of relief.

“With that, the Temple of the Falcon is finally cleared.

What a workout.”

“At least this will ease some of Jean’s burden.”

Amber said cheerfully.

It was clear that after the stone was destroyed, the dragon’s power within the temple was rapidly fading.

The three of them retraced their steps.

“Back then, our defenses could at least keep the city safe.

Simply put, that was because of Jean.”

“But now Stormterror has attacked the city itself… The winds have changed, and our strategies will change with them.”

Amber explained as they walked.

“That sounds very philosophical.”

Lumine, not being a local, only half understood.

Amber’s face flushed.

“That’s something Lisa likes to say.”

“If there’s anything you don’t understand, Lumine, just ask Lisa.”

“But don’t get me wrong—it’s not that I don’t know much.” She waved her hands.

“It’s just that Lisa is the librarian, so her knowledge is always more complete than an Outrider’s.”

“Is that so?”

Lumine murmured, but her gaze secretly drifted to the young man beside her.

She felt that he knew a great deal too—no need to bother Lisa at all.

The three returned to the temple entrance, where they could see Mondstadt in the distance.

Dark clouds filled the sky, still shrouded in a raging storm.

The problem had not been resolved.

“Kaeya and Lisa aren’t done yet?”

Jiang Chen gathered the relevant information from the situation.

“The Temple of the Wolf and the Temple of the Lion are much farther from Mondstadt than the Temple of the Falcon, and they’re more dangerous too.”

Amber said matter-of-factly.

“Even if Kaeya and Lisa are strong, there’s no way they could finish clearing them this quickly.”

If it weren’t for Jiang Chen and Lumine’s help, she wouldn’t have finished so fast either.

“Should we go help?”

Lumine asked proactively.

Truth be told, she was quite interested in the Hilichurls and Slimes in those two temples.

Jiang Chen looked at her eager expression and felt a bit speechless.

Was this girl some kind of battle maniac?

He was about to speak.

From the direction of Mondstadt, a figure running out from the city gate bridge caught his attention.

At this hour, the citizens were all hiding indoors.

On the surface, only the Knights of Favonius were active in the city.

Anyone coming out was highly suspicious.

The newcomer wore a cold expression.

He was dressed in a gentlemanly black-and-gold suit with a white undershirt, his striking red hair tied back in a ponytail.

Sharp red eyes, black gloves, trousers, and boots.

Handsomeness and elegance were perfectly combined in him, displayed to the fullest.

“Oh?”

He seemed to notice the three at the temple entrance, a hint of amusement curling his lips.

“Jiang Chen, since when did you start running around with little girls from the Knights?”

Amber clenched her fists in defiance.

Little Paimon immediately took up the cause.

Not only had she just built a friendship with Amber, but Amber was also her big-spending patron who promised to treat her to a feast.

Pointing her tiny finger at the man, she spoke with exaggerated authority: “Hey, redhead, I’m talking to you!

‘Little girl’ or not, Amber is really strong.

Don’t underestimate her!”

“Oh?

Is that so?”

The man’s smile was unreadable.

“You—”

Paimon tried to fly forward to argue with him.

Jiang Chen reached out and stopped her.

He addressed the newcomer: “Coming out at this hour, Diluc, where are you headed?”

“With your intelligence, Jiang Chen, you should already know.

I’ll be on my way.”

Diluc waved his hand casually, then walked straight past them.

Jiang Chen watched his retreating figure, then glanced sideways at the cute Outrider beside him.

He fell into thought.

Let me ask.

I already have Amber.

Do I really need to train Diluc too?
