Satoru noticed Timmie’s wary gaze and rolled his eyes inwardly.

I haven’t even done anything yet. What are you panicking for?!

Standing guard at the city gates were the two eternal sentries, Lawrence and Swan—the pair who seemingly never changed shifts, rain or shine.Full novel: Genshin: The Limitless Gojo — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The two saluted Eula and let them through without even bothering to question the siblings.

After all, they had fought alongside Eula for years and trusted her character completely.

"The wind here certainly does feel free, but it also seems rather... chaotic."

The moment they passed through the gates, Ayaka closed her eyes and quietly sensed her surroundings.

When she opened them again, her gaze was filled with confusion.

Even in turbulent Inazuma, she had never encountered Elemental Energy flowing in such a chaotic and disorderly manner.

"It’s probably because of the dragon crisis that’s been going on lately," Eula explained softly from beside her.

Ordinary residents might merely find the strong winds oppressive, but Vision bearers like them could perceive the deeper abnormalities hidden beneath the surface.

As a fellow Cryo wielder, Eula found Ayaka increasingly agreeable the more time they spent together.

The dragon crisis...

Satoru’s heart stirred.

It seemed that the legendary "Punisher" would soon be beginning her journey through Mondstadt as well.

Things were about to get interesting.

The corner of his mouth curled into an amused smile.

Taking down that giant dragon, Dvalin, would probably send his system’s progress bar soaring.

Of course, outright killing it was out of the question.

If that slacker Barbatos actually went berserk, the consequences would be no laughing matter.

Satoru had no intention of provoking an unfathomably powerful god just yet.

Dealing with destructive power on that level would be far too troublesome.

"You two, why don’t I take you to the Knights’ headquarters first so you can formally register your arrival?" Eula suggested.

"Sure!"

"And since we’re friends now, just call me Satoru from now on. No need to keep calling me Kamisato. Makes us sound like strangers."

Satoru spoke casually.

Stopping by the Knights of Favonius to announce their presence was necessary anyway. It would save them the trouble of being secretly monitored everywhere they went.

After all, they genuinely were here on vacation.

"All right. Then Satoru, Ayaka, follow me."

Eula froze for a moment before a heartfelt smile blossomed across her face.

At that moment, she was as beautiful as the first warm ray of sunlight in winter.

Despite always appearing accustomed to solitude, deep down, she longed for precious friendships as much as anyone.

And in Mondstadt, there were only a handful of people willing to treat her this way.

With Eula leading the way, the three followed the streets uphill toward the Knights of Favonius headquarters.

There were very few pedestrians outside.

Presumably because of the dragon’s appearances, most residents had chosen to stay indoors.

Eula actually found the quiet rather pleasant.

At least she would not have to listen to residents whispering behind her back as she walked through the streets.

Before long, the three arrived at the imposing headquarters of the Knights of Favonius.

Knock, knock...

Eula gently knocked on the wooden door of the Acting Grand Master’s office.

Only after a somewhat weary voice called, "Come in," did she push the door open.

"Oh, Eula. Is there something urgent that brings you here at this hour?"

Jean looked up from behind her desk.

Her beautiful blonde hair was tied into a neat ponytail, while her normally clear blue eyes were now visibly bloodshot.

Satoru was genuinely impressed.

Thanks to the extraordinary vision granted by the Six Eyes, a single glance was enough for him to read the document sitting at the very top of the pile on Jean’s desk.

It was actually a commission to help a resident find their cat.

Apparently, the people of Mondstadt had truly perfected the art of combining "freedom" with being utterly helpless.

They relied on Jean for every trivial little problem imaginable.

No wonder she looked exhausted.

"These two are..."

Eula was clearly accustomed to this sight and immediately began introducing the Kamisato siblings.

Once Jean heard who they were, she immediately set aside the mountain of trivial paperwork in front of her, a flash of surprise crossing her eyes.

"Hello, Acting Grand Master Jean. I’m Kamisato Satoru, and this is my little sister, Kamisato Ayaka."

Satoru smiled and extended his hand.

Jean rose from her seat, walked over, and openly shook his hand.

"Jean Gunnhildr, Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. You can simply call me Jean. Welcome to Mondstadt."

The information available to her was far more extensive than Eula’s.

She might not know much about Kamisato Satoru, but she had long heard of Kamisato Ayaka and her celebrated reputation as Inazuma’s Shirasagi Himegimi.

"You’re too kind, Miss Jean. Please just treat us as ordinary travelers from a foreign land," Ayaka replied gracefully.

Looking at the refined young lady before her, whose every movement was elegant enough to belong in a painting, Jean could not help admiring her inwardly.

As expected of a descendant raised by such a prestigious clan.

Her presence truly put others at ease.

"Acting Grand Master Jean, are there any places left in the city where we can stay? On our way here, I noticed that the inns all seemed to be closed."

Satoru had no interest in continuing with the pleasantries and went straight to the question he cared about most.

He had absolutely no desire to continue sleeping outdoors and enduring the elements.

"Well..."

Jean looked troubled.

Under the current circumstances, finding reliable accommodation inside the city really was difficult.

"Jean, I hit it off with these two right away, and I happen to have spare rooms at home. They can stay at my place."

Eula voluntarily stepped in to solve the problem.
