“Prepare for battle!” Tighnari gave a low shout and fired an arrow with a wave of his hand!
The arrow whistled through the air, imbued with Dendro Energy, striking a Fungus and pinning it to a tree.
Aether also drew his sword and charged, the sharp sword light cutting through the air as he engaged three Fungus in combat.
“Windblade!” he shouted, and Anemo element power erupted, blowing all the Fungus in front of him away.
The two worked with tacit understanding, each dealing with three and handling them with ease.
But a few more Fungus bypassed them and charged toward the back of the group.
Paimon was so scared he hid behind Aether, but he did not forget to shout, “Watch out!”
Nahida stood where he was, not moving.
His gaze rested on the charging Fungus, and the tips of his hair glowed slightly with a green light.
But just then— a small green figure rushed out from his side!
“Bee—!”
Amid hovered in mid-air, blocking the path in front of Nahida, his little claws stretched forward.
‘Leave it to me!’
Tighnari caught a glimpse of this out of the corner of his eye and frowned slightly.
He was about to call out a warning, but saw Amid’s eyes light up with blue light— Confusion activated!
The Fungus in the lead was instantly held down by an invisible force, its body stiffening in mid-air, unable to move.
With a wave of Amid’s little claw, the Fungus was flung aside, slamming heavily into a tree.
“Bee!” He turned back and called out to Tighnari, his little face filled with pride.’See that?
I can do it!’
“Fine, then this one is yours.” He said, though his gaze remained fixed here, ready to step in at any moment.
Aether also glanced at Amid; he did not stop swinging his sword, but part of his attention was diverted there as well.
The Fungus Amid was dealing with was a Hydro-type.
After being flung away, it quickly scrambled up, its body glowing with water-blue light, and spat out a water arrow!
Amid flapped his wings and dodged nimbly.
‘Tsk, quite fierce.’ He watched the Fungus, his mind racing.
While Confusion was useful, it was not very effective against this type of Fungus.
Besides, that last move had consumed quite a bit of energy; he would be exhausted if he did it a few more times.
He needed to use another method.
Just as he was thinking, suddenly— something in his mind was triggered.
A wave of unfamiliar knowledge appeared out of nowhere, flooding his consciousness.
‘Magical Leaf…’ ‘Grass-type skill…
use your own power to condense leaves to attack…’
Amid paused.
‘This is…’ He looked down at his little claws, feeling the surging power within his body.
‘Could this be an inheritance in my bloodline?’
There was no time to think.
Amid took a deep breath and raised his little claw.
The Dendro Energy within his body began to surge, flowing along some instinctual path and gathering in front of him— then, five emerald green leaves condensed and formed around him!
The leaves were as thin as cicada wings, their edges glowing with a faint light as they hovered in mid-air, slowly rotating around him.
Amid’s eyes lit up.’Success!’
He pointed his little claw forward— “Bee—!” ‘Take this!
Magical Leaf!’
The five leaves shot out simultaneously, carving five green trails through the air!
The Hydro Fungus tried to spray water to block them, but the leaves seemed to have eyes of their own, nimbly dodging the water arrow and striking its body directly from all directions!
“Puff—” The Hydro Fungus let out a muffled sound, its body dissipating into black smoke, leaving only a few materials on the ground.
Amid maintained his pose with his claw extended, looking at the black smoke, his little face full of excitement.
“Bee!
Bee!” ‘I did it!
I learned a new skill!’
He did a flip in the air, his little wings flapping rapidly, like a happy little bee.
Over there, Tighnari and Aether had also resolved their respective opponents.
Tighnari put away his bow and arrow, looking at Amid with a flash of surprise in his eyes.
Aether also looked at Amid thoughtfully, not saying a word.
