Sister Tong froze for a moment before shaking her head with an amused smile.

“You silly girl, what are you talking about? That’s quite the joke.”

She patted Zhong Suian on the shoulder.Full novel: Global Devaluation: The Fake Heiress Earns a Million a Day and Lifts Her Whole Family — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“A villa in Emerald Lake Court costs at least two thousand yuan. If someone could actually afford one, why would they still be bringing clients around to look at houses every day?”

Leaning in, she lowered her voice.

“I had a client here not long ago whose family runs a business. They were looking for a bridal home, but after agonizing over it for ages, they still couldn’t bring themselves to buy one. Times are tough these days…”

Zhong Suian simply smiled without responding.

Her gaze drifted past Emerald Lake Court and settled on another section of the scale model.

Emerald Lake Court no longer interested her.

If she was going to buy something…

It had to be the best.

She pointed toward another area.

“Sister Tong, is that Dongxing Royal Residence?”

“I heard Villa No. 9 is the crown jewel?”

Sister Tong’s eyes widened.

“You even know about that?”

“That section is the most expensive in our entire development.”

“There are only ten villas in total, but every one of them is top-tier.”

“Of course, a better environment means a higher price.”

“Even the cheapest one costs ten to twenty thousand yuan.”

“It’s been on the market for two years, and only four have been sold.”

Zhong Suian nodded thoughtfully.

Expensive was good.

She liked expensive.

Only the most expensive house suited her status.

“Sister Tong…”

“Villa No. 9 hasn’t been sold yet, has it?”

Seeing how intently she was staring at it, Sister Tong burst into laughter.

“Not yet!”

“What? You want to see it?”

She smiled mischievously and lowered her voice.

“You’re in luck.”

“Today’s the scheduled inspection and maintenance day for the showpiece villa.”

“Come on—I’ll take you to broaden your horizons.”

“You don’t usually get the chance to go inside a mansion of this level.”

The suggestion was exactly what Zhong Suian had hoped for.

After briefly reporting to their supervisor and collecting the keys, the two women headed toward the residential area.

The sales center was separated from Palm Bay by only a single road.

However, high-end communities naturally had stricter security.

Before entering, they had to register at the security booth.

Even from a distance, Zhong Suian could hear the blaring background music of short videos coming from inside.

When they pushed open the door, they saw a middle-aged security guard with a beer belly laughing foolishly at his phone.

Half a bottle of cheap liquor sat on the table, and the entire booth reeked of alcohol.

On his screen, a scantily dressed livestreamer danced suggestively.

Just looking at it made Zhong Suian uncomfortable.

“Ahem…”

Suppressing her disgust, Sister Tong knocked on the door.

“Mr. Wang, we’re from the sales office.”

“Could you please open the gate for us?”

The guard narrowed his drunken eyes and let out an impatient belch.

“The registration book’s on the table.”

“Fill it out yourselves.”

Used to this routine, Sister Tong completed the form and pushed it toward him.

“Mr. Wang, it’s done.”

“Could you open the gate now?”

Only then did he reluctantly drag his bulky body over to fumble for the remote control.

All the while he grumbled,

“Hurry, hurry, hurry…”

“What are you rushing me for?”

“You salespeople are the most annoying.”

“Always bringing people in and out.”

“You treat this neighborhood like a marketplace.”

“You’re wasting my time.”

From beginning to end, his eyes never left the phone screen.

Only after the two women finally entered the neighborhood did Zhong Suian roll her eyes.

“So this is the standard for security guards in luxury communities now?”

“Aren’t they afraid of getting complaints?”

“Shh!”

Sister Tong immediately grabbed her wrist.

“Please keep your voice down!”

“Let’s just put up with it and move on.”

Unfortunately, she was already too late.

Bang!

The security booth’s window was shoved open violently.

Mr. Wang’s greasy face poked out.

“Who the hell are you talking about?”

Spittle flew everywhere as he shouted.

“You’re just a damn salesperson.”

“You really think you’re somebody?”

“You’ve shown a few clients around and now you think you’re one of the homeowners?”

Afraid the drunken man might become violent, Sister Tong hurriedly pulled Zhong Suian behind her.

“Mr. Wang, please calm down.”

“She’s new and doesn’t know any better…”

He spat on the ground.

“Get lost!”

“If you’ve got the guts, file a complaint!”

“Let’s see if property management even bothers with you!”

With that, he slammed the window shut.

Only then did Sister Tong finally relax and quickly lead Zhong Suian farther into the neighborhood.

After walking more than ten meters and rounding a landscaped corner, she finally slowed down.

Speaking earnestly, she advised,

“Little Zhong…”

“Don’t be so impulsive in the future.”

“You’re new here, so you don’t know.”

“Those security guards all work for the property management company.”

“They’re not part of our system.”

“And as for the property management people…”

“They don’t give anyone face except the homeowners.”

That’s fine, Zhong Suian thought.

I’ll be a homeowner very soon anyway.

Outwardly, however, she lowered her eyes obediently and nodded.

“I’m sorry, Sister Tong.”

“I really was being thoughtless today.”

“Let’s go look at the house.”

“We shouldn’t delay work.”

Seeing her attitude soften, Sister Tong finally relaxed.

“Work is work.”

“Everyone has frustrating days.”

“Just endure it.”

“We’re all making a living.”

The two continued walking beneath the tree-lined road.

Nearly half an hour later, they finally arrived at Dongxing Royal Residence.

Along the winding uphill path, Zhong Suian could clearly feel the elevation increasing.

As they walked, Sister Tong continued introducing the project.

“Don’t let the fact that there are only ten villas fool you.”

“This area alone occupies nearly half of the entire development.”

She pointed toward a nearby group of buildings.

“Over there are the exclusive facilities.”

“A gym, game room, library, pet recreation area…”

“They’re all reserved exclusively for Dongxing Royal Residence owners.”

“If you want to go out for a walk without leaving the community, it’s perfect.”

Looking around, Zhong Suian saw ten grand villas nestled among the trees.

Each one stood far away from the others.

Combined with their private gardens and courtyards, they offered exceptional privacy.

“Every single tree here was carefully selected and positioned.”

Sister Tong patted a nearby ginkgo tree.

“They’re beautiful, improve air quality, and help preserve the owners’ privacy.”

Eventually they arrived in front of Villa No. 9.

“Here we are.”

Standing before them was a modern white villa complete with its own garden and sunken courtyard.

It looked incredibly luxurious.

Sister Tong pointed toward the two pine trees standing guard at the entrance.

“Those two trees alone are worth more than the BMW our manager drives.”

Passing through the courtyard, she pushed open the front door.

Inside was a seven-meter-high living room, remarkably spacious.

A full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the room with sunlight.

The breathtaking location offered two magnificent views.

Walking to the window, Zhong Suian looked east toward the blue lake and lush camphor forest.

Turning west, she saw the bustling city skyline.

The developers had clearly put tremendous thought into choosing the location.

The entire district sat at the highest point of the project.

Looking out from here, the city’s countless lights spread beneath them, making it seem as though the entire city lay at their feet.

“I heard…”

Sister Tong suddenly spoke from behind her.

“The developers even hired a feng shui master.”

“This location is considered a place where favorable energy gathers.”

“It’s extremely rare.”

“To allow owners to customize their homes, the villas only come with basic interior finishing.”

She tapped the wall.

“All the utility lines have already been installed.”

“It’ll make future renovations much easier.”

As Sister Tong explained each feature, Zhong Suian toured the entire villa.

From the living room to the bedrooms…

From the wine cellar to the spacious sun terrace…

Every detail had clearly been designed with care.

She nodded in satisfaction.

“The overall layout is excellent.”

“You don’t often see a house this well designed.”

“There’s only one thing.”

“The railing on the eastern terrace should be redesigned.”

“And these two rooms should be combined.”

“It would greatly improve both the lighting and the overall view.”

Sister Tong couldn’t help laughing.

“Oh my.”

“You silly girl!”

“I’m teaching you sales techniques.”

“How did you end up critiquing the property instead?”

She gave Zhong Suian a teasing look.

“And you sound so convincing.”

“If I didn’t know better…”

“I’d think you were actually planning to buy it.”
