The drizzling rain still hadn’t stopped.

Xia Nuan knew this light rain would continue for half a month. After a brief two-day break, it would return as a torrential downpour accompanied by fierce winds.

It was as if the sky had torn open a huge hole, pouring rain down and submerging the entire city.Full novel: Global Freeze: Farming and Overstocking My Space After the Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Another half-month later, a typhoon would strike, destroying most low-rise buildings and shoddy, poorly constructed projects. Then floods, earthquakes, and extreme cold would follow one after another.

After barely surviving all that, the weather would improve, with spring warmth and blooming flowers, but all the plants and animals in the world would begin to mutate, gaining their own consciousness.

A true revival of all things, yet humanity alone was abandoned by nature.

Natural disasters, human calamities, mutations—the Apocalypse was approaching. Without thorough preparation, death was only a matter of time.

Xia Nuan didn’t know when the Apocalypse would truly end. She had died three years into it, and the world was still a complete mess.

But she firmly believed that, having been reborn and now possessing a Space, she could lead her family through it.

Before the Apocalypse began, she needed to stockpile a large amount of supplies. This would inevitably cause a stir. Living with her family, it would be impossible to hide. It was better to reveal some information appropriately, giving them a bit of mental preparation.

“I had a dream. In it, the rain outside never stopped. The city was flooded, and many people were trapped in high-rise buildings, unable to leave. Some starved to death, while others ventured out to find food but never returned. The dream felt so real. I have a vague premonition that what happened in the dream will occur in reality. Dad, Mom, Brother, can you believe me?”

Xia Nuan leaned halfway against the headboard. Her body was still somewhat weak, and her voice was faint and breathless. Yet, her soft tone carried a strong persuasiveness, making it hard to doubt her.

“It’s a good habit to be prepared for danger in times of peace. The weather forecast also says it’ll rain continuously for the next half-month. If the rain gets heavier, it might really turn out like what our daughter said.”

Xia Zhiguo exchanged a glance with his wife and quickly followed Xia Nuan’s lead.

He felt a slight sense of relief.

Originally, they had planned for the three of them to take turns going out to gather supplies and stockpile them, avoiding Xia Nuan’s suspicion. After all, they couldn’t explain why they had suddenly gone crazy and started hoarding large amounts of food.

It wouldn’t do to say they were time travelers who knew the world was heading for an Apocalypse!

Now that Xia Nuan had brought up the Apocalypse theory herself, it was exactly what they wanted. The whole family could work together, with no secrets between them.

It’s just…

It was a bit strange that their dear daughter suddenly had a prophetic dream.

“Yes, I also think we should prepare for the worst. If it really rains nonstop, the drainage system will definitely fail. Our home is on the second floor, which isn’t safe. How about we rent a higher apartment for a couple of months first?”

Fu Ying also took the opportunity to share her thoughts. Finally, the family’s gaze shifted to Xia Mu.

Being stared at by so many eyes, Xia Mu felt a bit uncomfortable and awkwardly rubbed his nose, forcing a smile.

“Let’s also prepare a portable inflatable boat. If we really get flooded, we can’t just stay holed up at home all the time. We won’t be able to replenish anything we lack. Having a boat will make it easier to go out and check for missing supplies.”

Seeing that no one in the family refuted her words and instead started thinking about what preparations to make, Xia Nuan smiled, pursing her lips.

It felt so good to be trusted.

“Well, I have thirty million on hand, all earned by myself before. Don’t worry about money when preparing supplies.”

After scamming ten million from Lu Jiancheng, she had sorted through her personal assets before returning. The prize money she had accumulated from competitions since childhood, along with earnings from brand endorsements and collaborations, added up to over twenty million.

With a total of thirty-six million, it was more than enough for initial preparations.

If anything was lacking later, she could always go out for some "zero-dollar shopping."

Xia Nuan subconsciously touched the red mark on her wrist, debating whether to reveal the existence of her Space.

She carefully envisioned their future life.

As the saying went, it was impossible to keep secrets under the same roof. Moreover, she couldn’t bring herself to hoard the Space’s resources for herself.

Her family, who would risk their lives to protect her, surely wouldn’t betray her.

"There’s one more thing. Look at this."

As Xia Nuan spoke, a cup materialized in her hand.

The water inside was still steaming—the same cup she had placed in her Space at the hotel earlier.

Worried that the Space might only slow time without fully preserving freshness, she had kept it there. Now, after a full night, the water remained scalding hot.

"Holy cow!"

The identical tone, the perfectly synchronized shock, as if copied and pasted.

Fu Ying and the other two stared intently at the cup, blinking rapidly.

It wasn’t an illusion—definitely not an illusion!

Xia Nuan found their reactions oddly endearing and suppressed a smile with a light cough.

"Ahem, for some reason, after my fever, I suddenly gained a Space. It even has planting capabilities, and stored items stay fresh. It’s also quite spacious, so we won’t have to worry about storage when preparing supplies."

All three nodded in unison, swallowing hard with remarkable coordination.

Xia Mu was the first to recover from the shock. Being young, he adapted quickly to new things.

"Little sis, my dear little sis, you’re absolutely amazing!"

Xia Mu excitedly grabbed Xia Nuan’s wrist, grinning like a fool.

"Let go of your sister! You’ve already made her wrist red. You have no sense of restraint—if you keep this up, don’t blame me for smacking you!"

Fu Ying slapped her son on the back of his head, then hurriedly took the cup from Xia Nuan’s hand.

"Oh, sweetie, the cup is so hot. Give it to Mom."

Xia Mu rubbed the back of his head, pouting pitifully and helplessly, only to receive another firm slap from his father—this time on the shoulder.

"Hahahaha, that’s my daughter for you—just awesome… ahem, I mean, amazing! We’ll listen to our daughter. When preparing supplies, don’t be stingy. Sweetie, you’re not in the best shape to move around right now. Just outline what we need to prepare, and your brother and I will handle the errands. The whole family will follow your lead!"
