“Congratulations, Survivors. At least you’re still alive!”

“This is the Mist Continent. Before Blue Star was destroyed, it sent you here. Starting today, you will struggle to survive on this continent until you die.”

“Do everything in your power to stay alive. Make full use of your greatest advantage as Humans—wisdom. The wealth, status, and fame of your former World will all be meaningless here.”Full novel: Global Mist Survival: Building a Wooden House on an Island — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“At present, you possess only one dilapidated log cabin. This will be your support for staying alive.”

A voice that was impossible to identify by gender and contained not the slightest hint of emotion echoed through Li Qinglang’s mind.

Blue Star was destroyed?

Did I travel through space and time?

The Mist Continent?

Stay alive?

Problems emerged one after another like bamboo shoots after a spring rain. Just a moment ago, Li Qinglang had still been admiring the enormous official fireworks show held on the first day of the lunar New Year. At the instant the largest firework exploded, his vision went black, and when he opened his eyes again, he had arrived here.

Li Qinglang forced himself to calm down. After taking several deep breaths in succession, he finally managed to calm down somewhat.

The place where he currently found himself was inside a dilapidated log cabin. Calling it a log cabin was less accurate than calling it a thatched hut, because it was truly far too rundown. The gaps between the wooden boards were large enough for him to easily stick his leg through.

Cold wind carrying a damp aura blew in through the gaps. Not only that, but the repeated roars of unknown beasts in the distance made one’s scalp prickle.

Li Qinglang instinctively tightened the windbreaker around himself, as though doing so could bring him a little safety.

Before he had time to think much, that emotionless voice suddenly rang out from his mind again.

“Humans who should have perished alongside their home planet, face your current situation!”

“If you wish to survive on the Mist Continent, remember the following.”

“First, and most important, this log cabin is the foundation of your survival. It can help you avoid most dangers in the mysterious mist.

You can resist extreme climate inside the log cabin, avoid ferocious beasts, and evade unknown, terrifying erosion. Believe me, you will not want to face them, so collect as many materials as possible to upgrade shelter.

Second, the night of the Mist Continent is when native creatures are most active. Endless horrors will bare their fangs in the dark night. The dark night is also the main theme of this continent; most of each day is dark night. Cherish the precious daytime and make good use of the few opportunities you have to go outside.

Third, harsh climate is the disaster of all Humans! The Mist Continent is not suitable for Humans to survive on. Although most threats can be avoided through various methods, the extreme climate, completely different from that of Blue Star, will be a challenge everyone must face directly!

Fourth, make good use of the 【Human Communicator】 beside you. Although you are all separated by great distances, it can help you communicate and trade with other Survivors, as well as provide valuable information about the Mist Continent.

Finally, Blue Star exhausted all its foundations to give every person a gift. Please cherish it!”

On this mysterious continent, you are no longer masters. Instead, you are weak and helpless.

“Therefore, I urge you to unite and face this world together!”

Li Qinglang pressed around his sun acupoints with both hands. Only after remaining silent for a long while did he accept this fact.

According to what that voice had just said, all the people of Blue Star had come to this Mist Continent filled with the unknown and danger!

Immediately afterward, he was drawn to the only light source in the room.

“This should be the 【Human Communicator】 mentioned just now.”

Li Qinglang picked up the Communicator beside his feet. It resembled a tablet computer, but he did not know what material it was made from. It felt extremely sturdy and seamless, and it seemed to operate on some unknown energy without needing to be charged.

Beside the Communicator was also a stone axe, presumably standard equipment for every Survivor.

【Crude stone axe】

Description: An axe made using primitive methods. It has low sharpness and is easily damaged. It can barely be used, but requires twice the effort for half the result.

Ignoring this piece of junk, Li Qinglang picked up the Human Communicator.

Just as the voice in his mind had said, it contained some basic information about the Mist Continent.

For example, there was a page resembling a Weather Forecast, which currently displayed:

【Today’s Weather】

Clear skies, temperature 8–15°C

Sunrise time: 10:00

daytime duration: seven hours

Climate Trend: Warmth before a freezing cold current arrives. Remember to collect enough supplies necessary for survival to deal with the approaching cold current.

Although he already knew that daytime was brief, he only realized how brief it truly was when the actual data appeared before him. Daytime occupied less than one-third of the total time, which was undoubtedly terrible news for Humans who had just arrived on this continent.

He glanced at the time in the upper-right corner of the screen: 09:05.

“There’s nearly an hour until daybreak. I should use this time to learn as much information as possible.”

As he quickly browsed through the Communicator, a 【human chat channel】 caught Li Qinglang’s attention.

When he opened it, he found four sections: 【World Chat】, 【Regional Chat】, 【Friend Chat】, and 【Private Chat】.

In the lower-right corner of the World Chat Channel was a string of numbers representing the total population. It was currently over eight billion, matching Earth’s total population exactly.

The Regional Chat Channel startled Li Qinglang. First was the population: the Regional Chat Channel actually had a full 4.8 billion people!

Second, the Regional Chat Channel had an additional function that displayed the distance between each Survivor. Even the closest people were more than fifty kilometers apart.

This population density was utterly absurd. Just how large was the Mist Continent? There were no cars or airplanes here. With people separated by at least fifty kilometers on a continent filled with mist and danger, the difficulty of people meeting one another had increased infinitely.

And there was also the population of this Regional Chat Channel. The total population was eight billion, while the region alone accounted for 4.8 billion. Could it be divided according to the continents of Blue Star?

If Li Qinglang remembered correctly, Asia’s total population happened to be 4.8 billion.

At this time, the World Chat Channel was already filled with all kinds of messages, beginning with disbelief.

“Hey, where is everyone? Who the hell pulled off this prank?”

“Boohoohoo, boss Wang, Coriander was wrong. From now on, I’ll do whatever you say. Please let me out!”

“What exactly is this place? How did I suddenly appear here?”

“Is this a movie being filmed, or have aliens invaded?”

“Stop howling up there and face reality. Who could possibly have the ability to arrange a prank on this scale?”

“TMD, is everything normal where you are? There seem to be footsteps outside my door. I don’t know what the hell it is!”

“Normal my ass! You only have footsteps. Something has already started scratching at my door. I’m panicking like crazy. What should I do? Waiting online, urgent!”

After their initial doubts, the Survivors slowly accepted the facts. Next came a long series of people searching for relatives, because the chat names were their real names and there was no option to change them. Thus, a crowd of people began crying out for acquaintances.

Li Qinglang knew that with so many Survivors sending messages, it was impossible to identify anyone clearly, but he still could not resist sending a message searching for his relatives:

“Mom and Dad, if you see my message, Private Chat me as soon as possible!”

After he sent the message, the chat window displayed that he could speak again after one minute. Remaining speaking opportunities today: 5.

It seemed that chatting was also restricted. He could not speak recklessly. It would be best to save one or two speaking opportunities each day in case they were needed.
