Logan woke up four more hours later.
Out of habit, he used his hand to rub his eyes, but the hand was gone.
"Urgh..."
Logan woke up and stretched.
He looked at the status of everything.
Tower Points: 12,470
’Nice. It looks like they killed quite a lot of monsters. And that player elimination...yeah, that must have given me a lot.’
Eliminating a player would grant all Tower Points that player currently had to the winner.
"Master, do you want to eat?" Martha asked.
"Yep. Heat some light food. I’ll be back."
Logan climbed the tower ladder to take a broad view of his territory.
"Woah. So much material?"
Two huge piles akin to small hills were dumped outside his territory, 150 meters away.
Crystals and Iron.
His stomach made some sound, and pressure came.
"Shit."
Yes, it was time to shit.
He jumped from the tower and landed on a wall, then jumped again.
"Prtttt..."
"Who farted?" Jade Artisan Golem nearby, who was experimenting with new Iron and Crystal and mixing them with his Jade cement, was startled.
Logan laughed and ran away towards the trees and bushes. "Sorry, bud."
...
After finishing his business in the bushes, Logan returned.
He took a quick bath at the well that was already connected to a water source thanks to Aquabless Mole, and freshened up.
"Where did others go, Tinkerbell?"
"They are exploring a hidden place Vex found in his third Treasure Compass find," Tinkerbell said while flying around. "Master, I made many new things! Do you want to check them out?"
"I will do that, but after eating."
While eating, Logan checked out other things and spotted a new tab in the player interface.
[Leaderboards]
> Player Elimination Leaderboard.
’Oh, I am ranked second. Wait, that Marcus is the same guy from my class?’ Logan narrowed his eyes.
Marcus was ranked first on the leaderboard, having eliminated two players.
’Legendary-rank class must be powerful. And he had summon cards given by his parents for sure.’
Logan felt a sense of urgency.
"So what did Vex find?" Logan asked.
Tinkerbell answered quickly. "The first two compasses led to two mines. One mine is already empty, and the other is about to be empty. Three Tower Minions are mining them and gathering the resources."
"Yeah. I saw the materials out there."
"I also made some things using them!" Tinkerbell grinned. "And then the third time, Vex arrived back and said that he found a secret place with a lot of resources in a garden, but there are weird, strong plant-life monsters. So everyone but Blitzhawk and Ashclaw Skirmisher went there to kill monsters and secure that place."
Logan nodded. "I see. And how long ago did Billy and others go to that secret place?"
"It’s been an hour and fifteen minutes since they’ve been gone. Billy said Blitzhawk needs to be on lookout and protect Master with Ashclaw, so those two stayed here."
"Good decision." Logan smiled.
He then checked the status of his summons.
Except Blitzhawk and Ashclaw, who were outside the territory, one in the sky and one on the ground to be on the lookout, the others had reduced HP and MP. They were likely fighting.
’Everyone distributed their stat points quite aptly. Good.’
"Wait, Tinkerbell. Why do you have so many points in Constitution?"
"Oh...There was an emergency. A wolf pack came to attack when I was outside the walls at that pile of materials, using the iron and crystal with some bones and using my magic to invent something. I had 15 points yet to distribute, so I put all in Constitution to keep myself safe before Flameguard and Stonewing arrived to help."
"I see. Good job staying alive." Logan patted her head with a smile. "But let me redistribute the points. You would need Speed and Arcane, right?"
"Yep! Speed allows me to work more efficiently and better, and Arcane gives me more options and success in using my innovation skill."
"Alright."
Good thing that it was free to redistribute stat points, though it came with 24 hours cooldown, for both players and summons.
"Now then..." Logan’s eyes narrowed, brainstorming.
He wanted to go out and explore, to kill bosses, and get more rewards.
With all players developing, they would also roam more and encounter other bases.
’Hold nothing back. Let’s make use of my talent fully and arm the base completely.’
He started summoning combat units. 20 summons.
Tier-1 Normal-rank: 9 summons.
Tier-1 Uncommon-rank: 7 summons.
Tier-1 Rare-rank: 3 summons.
Tier-1 Epic-rank: 1 summon.
And then, he started merging them.
8 Normal merged into 4 Rare + 1 Normal leftover.
6 Uncommon merged into 3 Rare + 1 Uncommon leftover.
Total now:
10 Rare
1 Normal
1 Uncommon
1 Epic
And then he merged again.
10 Rare merged into 5 Epic summons.
Total now:
6 Epic
1 Rare
1 Uncommon
1 Normal
And now, it was time to get Legendary-rank units!
’I’ll bring them to levelling and exploration. The others can stay here and protect the base.’
He picked the first two.

Sunforged Templar (Tier-1/Epic) + Radiant Duelist (Tier-1/Epic)
> Solareign Vorpal Knight (Tier-1/Legendary) Created.
The light took longer to clear this time, and when it did, something stood there taller than any summon Logan had made so far. A knight, or close enough to one, built like a person but too clean and too tall to pass for one. Armor the color of polished gold-white covered it head to foot, seamless, like it had grown that way instead of being forged. Two wings unfolded from its back, made of something closer to solid light than feathers, faceted and glowing soft along every edge. It carried a greatsword nearly as tall as Blitzhawk, a low light pulsing somewhere down inside the blade. Its eyes were twin points of white fire, and when they found Logan, the whole thing dropped to one knee without being asked.
"My blade is yours, Lord."

Logan stared for a solid three seconds before he found his voice. "Your name is Solveig."
"Solveig." It said the name back like it was testing the weight of it. "Thank you, Lord."
He moved to the next pair before the excitement could slow him down.

> Gravestitch Ghost Toymaker (Tier-1/Legendary) Created.
This one didn’t rise so much as unfold, seams popping loose all over its body as it grew into shape. What stood there looked like an oversized stuffed toy sewn together by someone who’d never actually seen the animal they were copying, somewhere between a fox and a cat, patched fabric skin stitched in mismatched thread that glowed faintly at every seam. Two black button eyes sat a little too far apart. Its mouth was a zipper, closed for now, though the shape of too many teeth pressed against the fabric from the inside.
It tilted its head at Logan, slow and a little too far, and the zipper mouth peeled open into something that might have been a smile.

Logan looked at it a long moment, equal parts charmed and unsettled. "You’re Stitchgrin."
The zipper mouth opened wider. It didn’t say anything back, just barked or laughed, but more like a mix of both.
’Now, the last one.’
The last pair went into the light together.

Ironclad War Beast (Tier-1/Epic) + Cogforge Sentinel (Tier-1/Epic)
> Metalforged War Colossus (Tier-1/Legendary) Created.
The ground shook a little when this one landed. Four legs, heavy enough to look more machine than animal, iron plating fused straight into muscle and hide instead of strapped over it. Gears turned visibly at every joint, catching the light. A furnace glow showed through a grate set into its chest, pulsing slowly like a heartbeat. Twin cannon barrels sat mounted along its shoulders, angled forward, already tracking nothing in particular.
It let out a sound somewhere between a growl and grinding metal, and steam hissed out from vents along its spine.
