Logan was determined to win this match and leave with three summon cards. Not Epic, not legendary, but Mythic-rank summons!
He was almost tempted to merge legendaries, but he held himself back.
First, he wanted to level all of them up! It was best that they upgrade their + skills.
That way, when they merge, the result could be better as their potential would have been realised.
’I still have 10,470 Tower Points...but forget it.’ Logan stopped.
He was going to go on the long expedition soon once Billy and others returned. If he encountered any mystery merchants, he wanted some stock to buy stuff from them.
’But I’ll earn points on the way by killing monsters anyway. I should spend some and get Legendary-rank Production Units as well. Get them to reinforce the base even more.’
And so, Logan spent 2000 Tower Points to summon Production Units.
This summoning session also gave him only one Epic.
No matter. He merged what he could merge.
The first merge was Martha the Blazing Rumble Chef with another Epic-rank who specialised in ingredient gathering and ingredient preparation, seasoning, and so on.
This resulted in Martha becoming a Legendary-rank Exotic Flamebuster Chef.
"The previously cooked food looks very shabby now, Master. Can I throw it away?"
"Nope."
"Okay..."
Afterward, he got an Epic-rank result that looked compatible with Tinkerbell, so he merged both of them, resulting in the Legendary-rank Arcane Cyborg Fairy.
And she had an insane skill that just solved a problem that didn’t exist.
Blueprints.
By scanning an already made product, she could make its blueprint!
And her innovating capabilities also increased.
Only three skills even at Legendary-rank, but all three made her worth.
’I have to keep this merge line active. Summons like her are rare, and I got her at Legendary-rank! Merge talent is insane.’
"Tinkerbell, you became quite cool now with that fancy dress and cyborg look." Logan grinned. "I have a task for you. Can you create some kind of mountable weaponry like crossbows, cannons, guns, and things like that to defend our base? We’ve got tons of Iron, Crystal, and monster bones that have different properties. Just make as many mountable weapons as you can. Doesn’t matter if each one is different."
"I’ll try, Master! Leave it to me!"
The second legendary was the result of merging a level 10 Jade Artisan Golem and another Epic that had similar capabilities.
The result was Ultium Designer Golem.
After reading the four Legendary skills he had, Logan was overjoyed.
"It’s time to renovate the base with stronger defensive walls and shape." Logan reigned in his excitement and commanded.
"Ultium, mix several tons of Iron and Crystal with your special stone cement using your skill. Get the material for Legendary-rank structures ready. I’ll tell you what to build at what place. Oh, and first, bury the trench. We don’t need anymore."
"Understood."
With Ultium, Logan could just tell him what kind of shape he wanted at what place, and Ultium could build it with Legendary-rank toughness, having 10,000 durability.
Legendary-rank skills were no joke.
And then he did one more Merge resulting from two new Epic-rank production units, both related to blacksmithing. One was a sword crafter, and another was a Repairer.
The result delighted Logan.

And Logan had trained with a sword for five years!
’Finally, I can do more than just standing around casting my caretaker skills.’
"Maggy. Please craft me a solid sword using Crimson Iron and Entwin Crystal. You can use bones and other stuff if you want to for the craft."
"Understood." She nodded and left directly to get the materials.
Afterward, Logan started moving walls in builder mode.
He bared his territory entirely.
Because it was time to make a better one.
In the following hour, Logan commanded Ultium, directing him to design the base from scratch.
It took one hour and around thirty minutes before his dream base was fully designed. Logan also decided to upgrade the territory by spending 5000 points, making it the size of 100 meters in radius. He couldn’t hold himself back after he started building with Ultium. It was better to build a solid base with enough space and sufficient ways of defence.
It left him with 3470 points, but whatever. He was satisfied with what he built.
Right at this time, Billy and others also returned.
"Boss! What is this place?!"
"Wow. Master completely renovated the base."
"It looks so big and cool!"
Indeed.
The renovated base was nothing like before.
There was no longer a need for a hexagon defence strategy.
What he built was a castle first, taking up 50 meters radius in the centre of his total 100-meter radius territory.
The castle was actually four stories tall, and he had also set up floors, but otherwise, it was a hollow space.
However, he did make different rooms for the production units to work. Each room had nice windows and a door leading outside.
Up to 75 meters mark from 50 meters mark, it was an empty spacious place where he could place materials and the summons could also relax.
The water well was also there, and he also told the Aquabless Mole to dig a swimming pool, which was in the process. Ultium could pour his special cement and turn it into a perfect swimming pool.
At the 75-meter radius mark, in four cardinal directions, he also built Watch Towers.
Sheep Thread Tailor could create sturdy rope, so he made simple mechanical elevators that work using weight to get up on to tower fast.
At the 100-meter radius mark, a full circular barricade wall was placed. He stacked them twice up as they reached 10 meters of height, and one gate that only Ultium could open by manipulating the big wall.
Of course, this 10 meters tall border wouldn’t stop enemies from jumping as Logan knew ten meters was nothing, but between 75-meter mark and 100-meter mark, he had turned the ground into a kind of mud with a different cement formula thanks to Ultium.
"Be careful. Don’t step into anywhere but this straight path from the gate." Logan led Billy and others inside.
Once they went past the 75-meter mark, Logan informed, "Until you reach here, stay on the path. From here, it’s safe everywhere."
"That ground does look strange." Stonewing Pugilist touched it slightly. "It’s cold, and weird."
"That’s a nasty place. Enemies who enter there will get stuck. And if I tell Ultium to activate the material, the muddy ground will turn into solid cement, making it even harder to get out."
"Enemies will be sitting ducks." Flameguard nodded. "Great idea."
"It seems you got more companions, and...stronger ones." Bily looked at Juggernaut and gulped. "What a monster."
"That one is smiling, and it’s scary..."
Blitzhawk and Ashclaw also returned from patrolling.
"This sir knight is so cool! Hello!" Blitzhawk’s eyes shone.
"Hello." Solveig nodded.
Logan didn’t see Vex. "Where’s Vex? And it seems you all didn’t bring anything back."
"That’s the thing, Boss. Vex stayed there to keep watch over the resources while we hurried back. It’s a lot of stuff, and Vex said that if we brought that stuff out in open, it would attract monsters and bring trouble."
Logan blinked, curious and thrilled. "Interesting. Must be some high-quality resources. Alright, now listen."
"First, Bryowulf, I want you to set up traps between the 75-meter and 100-meter mark of this territory. After you are done with that, do the same in the surroundings outside."
"The rest of you will do two things. First, cooperate with production units and help them. Second, patrol the surroundings and remain alert. Tinkerbell is making weapons, and has already made some, so mount them on the towers. But you all must be hungry, so get food from Martha first."
"I am going to need Stonewing to guide me where Vex is. I’ll be going with the Legendary fellows here while you all will hold the territory. Make sure no one breaches it."
"Understood!"
"Roger, my lord!"
"Leave it to us, Master."
Logan then waited for the sword to be ready, ate Martha’s new food that gave him a 2-hour-long buff, stuffed some of the useful Tinkerbell’s Inventions in his pocket, pouches, and Storage Ring, and departed with level 1 Solveig, Stitchgrin, Juggernaut, and level 10 Stonewing Pugilist, whom he was going to send back once he reached Vex.
’Adventure Time.’ Logan departed, sitting on the back of Juggernaut. Solveig and Stonewing flew with Stonewing leading the way, and Stitchgrin moved around while being on the lookout for any enemies.
