The next day.

Lin Qiye and his squad rushed to Tomato University. They had barely begun investigating when the school was overrun by the Nanda Serpent Demon. Students fled in panic, scattering everywhere as if chased by dogs.

Golden light flickered in Lin Qiye’s eyes.Full novel: God Slayer: It’s So Hot, What Did You Put In The Water? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Using his spiritual perception, he sensed that students were trapped in a room on the second floor by the Nanda Serpent Demon.

With swift, decisive movements, Lin Qiye raised his blade and, in one clean motion, beheaded seven Nanda Serpent Demons.

“Someone’s here to save us, and he’s handsome!”

A girl noticed Lin Qiye’s arrival and exclaimed excitedly.

A freckle-faced boy stepped forward to greet him:

“Hello, my name is Li Yifei. You must be from the Night Watch, here to deal with the mysterious creature, the Nanda Serpent Demon, right?”

Lin Qiye sheathed his blade and nodded. “Yes. My name is Lin Qiye.”

The fine hairs on the back of his neck suddenly stood on end, a sensation like being watched by a dangerous venomous snake.

He instinctively searched for the source of the gaze and saw a boy wearing gold-rimmed glasses, with refined and delicate features, staring at him.

“Hello, Lin Qiye. I’m An Qingyu. It’s our first official meeting, please take care of me.”

The boy spoke gently and politely extended his hand.

The wariness in Lin Qiye’s heart faded.

He thought that perhaps the other had merely looked at him a few extra times out of curiosity.

Lin Qiye courteously shook An Qingyu’s hand in return.

But when he tried to pull away, he found that the other was still holding onto his hand tightly.

Just as Lin Qiye was about to remind him—

An Qingyu let go of his hand in time and smiled apologetically.

“Sorry, those monsters startled me. I was a bit rude just now.”

Lin Qiye didn’t think much of it and waved it off. “It’s fine.”

An Qingyu’s gaze swept discreetly over Lin Qiye’s lips.

He lowered his head, concealing the dark emotions surging in his eyes.

Qiye’s lips still looked just as kissable as ever.

Even though he had tasted them countless times at night, it was still far from enough.

Qiye’s lips, Qiye’s body, everything about Qiye— all of it fascinated him, addicted him.

Li Yifei held a pink axe and said somewhat proudly,

“Qiye, you know what? I just used this thing to go on a rampage, bam, bam, and wiped out those monsters.”

“If you’re going to fight monsters, take me with you, okay? Maybe I can even join the Night Watch. Pretty please?”

A burly man holding a pink axe acting coquettishly toward Lin Qiye made his expression stiffen slightly.

“Fine. Then come along.”

Li Yifei cheered and bounced in place a few times.

“When a man acts cute, Qiye’s soul goes mute~”

Lin Qiye’s face darkened. “Stop. Keep that up and I’m not taking you.”

Li Yifei immediately switched to a stern, unsmiling expression.

“Take me along as well.”

An Qingyu spoke from the side.

Confidence shone on his face, as if everything were already within his calculations.

“I can help you deduce the monsters’ habits and motives.”

An Qingyu’s gaze fixed openly on Lin Qiye’s eyes, carrying a trace of barely concealed heat.

Not having had any “interaction” with Qiye last night left An Qingyu feeling somewhat pent up.

Li Yifei suggested, “Why not bring him along, Qiye? After all, he’s ranked first in the entire city, his grades are insanely impressive.”

After a moment’s consideration, Lin Qiye agreed. “Alright.”

An extra helper would make dealing with the Nanda Serpent Demon and those creatures easier.

When An Qingyu heard Lin Qiye say “alright,” he felt the blood in his veins begin to boil.

Every move Qiye made, every word he spoke, could effortlessly tug at his heartstrings.

And what he liked most was how Lin Qiye was in bed.

Once the Nanda Serpent Demon incident was resolved, Lin Qiye would be without assignments for a while.

That would give him the perfect opportunity to visit Qiye late at night for some “interaction.”

At the thought of this, An Qingyu felt his mouth go dry. Seeing Lin Qiye only intensified the urge.

Unaware of any of this, Lin Qiye was receiving information from his teammates before relaying it:

“There’s something unusual in the art classroom on the third floor. Let’s go check it out.”

“Wait,” An Qingyu suddenly raised a finger and pointed toward someone’s waistband. “I need something.”

Lin Qiye’s expression darkened. “You…”

This guy isn’t some kind of pervert, is he?

An Qingyu spoke unhurriedly, “I need a gun to kill those monsters.”

Only then did Lin Qiye’s expression ease slightly. “Sure. I happen to be carrying two guns.”

His aim wasn’t very accurate, so he brought two guns with him.

He figured that if he fired at a high frequency, he should be able to hit at least one monster.

“Thanks.”

An Qingyu took the gun from Lin Qiye, feeling quite pleased inside.

Teasing Qiye was truly interesting.

Lin Qiye and An Qingyu walked side by side along the corridor outside the classroom, heading toward the art room.

Li Yifei followed behind with his pink axe, looking excited.

“If I kill a few more serpent demons, maybe I can join the Night Watch too.”

Hiss, hiss—

A shrill, terrifying sound rang out as several serpent demons surged toward them.

Lin Qiye immediately drew his gun and fired at them.

More than a dozen shots in succession, none hit.

The Nanda Serpent Demons were about to rush up to them.

An Qingyu quickly stepped close to Lin Qiye and placed his hand over the back of Lin Qiye’s hand.

“Hold it steady.”

He spoke without any unnecessary expression.

At the very instant the serpent demons were about to reach them,

An Qingyu’s other hand slowly slid to Lin Qiye’s waist.

“Adjust your stance.”

He guided Lin Qiye to aim at the serpent demons and pull the trigger.

Several gunshots rang out.

The serpent demons in front of them were instantly blasted with dark, gaping holes.

“Go to hell, serpent demons!” Li Yifei shouted, swinging his pink axe to hack a few more times at the ones still struggling on the ground.

An Qingyu and Lin Qiye were still holding the gun together in the same position.

Lin Qiye froze in place for a moment, then slowly said, “That accurate?”

An Qingyu looked at Lin Qiye’s astonished expression and curled his lips in satisfaction.

He took a deep breath.

Qiye smelled so good. He wanted to lean into the hollow of Qiye’s neck right now and savor that enticing scent.

“Being able to hit the target every time isn’t that hard,” An Qingyu replied, suppressing the desire in his eyes and keeping his tone as calm as possible.

Thinking of his own “hopelessly tangled-yarn-like” marksmanship, Lin Qiye fell into deep thought.

An Qingyu’s fingertips restlessly brushed along Lin Qiye’s waist a few times.

Lin Qiye nearly had his knees give out, it tickled too much.

Only then did he remind him, “Um… the serpent demons are all dead.”

Two grown men still holding that position, wasn’t that a bit strange?

Standing this close to another man made Lin Qiye feel uncomfortable.

Even if it was just a normal shooting-guidance posture, why was this guy squeezing his waist?

An Qingyu’s hands were really a bit too fidgety, he seemed to want to pinch whatever he touched.

“If you need it, you can come to me to help train your shooting,” An Qingyu said, reluctantly withdrawing his hand.

His gaze lingered on Lin Qiye’s attractive lips for a long moment.

He wanted to kiss them.
