An Qingyu watched Lin Qiye carefully searching for clues, a satisfied smile curling at his lips.
Qiye hadn’t rejected his earlier gesture.
Even though Qiye most likely regarded that kind of behavior as normal between good brothers.
But what if he used the excuse of being good brothers to openly do improper things to Qiye?
At the thought of this, An Qingyu grew excited.
Lin Qiye stepped into the restroom while using his mental power to probe the cabin environment.
An Qingyu followed closely at his side.
A moment later, the two handsome young men walked out of the restroom together, shoulder to shoulder.
The surrounding passengers looked at them with strange expressions in their eyes.
Lin Qiye keenly caught the shift in their expressions and nudged An Qingyu.
“Why are they looking at us like that?”
It was as if the two of them were some rare animals in a zoo.
An Qingyu bent down, leaning close to Lin Qiye’s ear, and lowered his voice.
“Maybe we made too much noise and disturbed them.”
“Let’s just talk quietly like this, close to each other.”
From a bystander’s perspective, the two of them looked as if they were openly flirting, whispering sweet words.
An Qingyu swept a cold glance over the passengers.
They immediately withdrew their gazes, not daring to look any longer for fear of getting beaten up.
Seeing this, Lin Qiye said in a low voice,
“You’ve got to admit, your method actually works.”
After they started whispering, the passengers no longer stared at them with strange looks.
The airplane suddenly accelerated forward.
Using the momentum, An Qingyu tilted slightly to the side, his cool, pale, delicate ear brushing against Lin Qiye’s lips.
Lin Qiye subconsciously rubbed his lips and, somewhat embarrassed, lowered his voice to ask,
“An Qingyu, um… your ear is clean, right?”
There shouldn’t be any earwax, right?
Still uneasy, Lin Qiye wiped his lips hard with his palm, just in case.
Watching his reaction, An Qingyu was so exasperated he almost laughed.
“Of course it’s clean,” An Qingyu said, enunciating each word with a hint of gritted teeth.
Lin Qiye suddenly realized he might have said the wrong thing.
“Well… Qingyu, that’s not what I meant.”
Qingyu.
Hearing the way Lin Qiye addressed him, the irritation that had just flared up in An Qingyu instantly vanished.
A faint smile curved his lips. “Let’s go, Qiye. We’ll continue searching for clues.”
Lin Qiye didn’t notice the shift in An Qingyu’s mood at all, his mind fully focused on the investigation.
The two of them moved through the cabin passage and entered the cockpit.
The captain operated the plane with a vacant expression.
Beside him, a bald man was chatting idly with a strange-looking child.
Lin Qiye swept his gaze calmly across the cockpit.
“We’ve found the bar owner. The child beside him is the mysterious being, ‘Ten-Slash Fiendish Child.'”
An Qingyu cast a cold glance at the fiendish child.
The child’s bluish-purple skin suddenly prickled with goosebumps.
It was an instinctive reaction, the innate perception of danger that belonged to a mysterious being.
Seeing the two intruders, a surge of excitement flashed in the bald man’s eyes.
“I was just worrying that the ritual didn’t have enough sacrifices, and then you two delivered yourselves.”
The “sacrifices” the bald man referred to were obviously human lives.
Lin Qiye spoke lightly, as if neither the bald man nor the mysterious being beside him were worth his concern.
“Qingyu, you take the Fiendish Child. I’ll handle the braised egg.”
An Qingyu couldn’t help but laugh.
“[1]Braised egg a mocking nickname for the bald man. Since the man has a completely bald, shiny head, it resembles a smooth egg, so calling him “braised egg” is a humorous or insulting way to refer … Continue reading jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_1903417_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_1903417_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top center', relative: true, offset: [-7, 0], });Braised egg? Qiye, you really are a naming genius.”
Lin Qiye curved his lips. “Thanks for the compliment.”
Seeing them chatting as if no one else were present, the bald man’s chest filled with fury at being ignored.
“Are you two treating me like I’m already dead?”
“You will be soon,” An Qingyu replied calmly, though his tone carried unmistakable provocation.
The atmosphere in the air instantly turned tense, on the verge of exploding.
And the next second, the two sides clashed.
Lin Qiye drew his blade, pressing the bald man back step by step before forcefully shattering the cockpit window behind him.
The bald man was immediately sucked out by the tremendous force of the airflow. Without hesitation, Lin Qiye leapt out after him.
An Qingyu glanced briefly in Lin Qiye’s direction before refocusing on the Fiendish Child.
He needed to end this quickly, he was going to help Lin Qiye.
Although he knew very well that with Qiye’s strength his life wouldn’t be in danger, he still worried about him getting hurt.
With that thought, killing intent filled An Qingyu’s cold gaze as he looked at the Fiendish Child.
A dangerous aura radiated from the young man as he advanced step by step.
Every cell in the Fiendish Child’s body screamed at it to run.

Using the momentum, Lin Qiye landed atop the airplane and began a one-sided beating of the bald man.
Every time Lin Qiye chopped off the bald man’s head, countless transparent, eerie threads would surge from his neck, pulling the head back into place.
Then the severed part of his neck would knit together and heal once more.
Lin Qiye clicked his tongue.
“What a nuisance.”
The bald man looked smug.
“Heh. No matter what you do, you can’t kill me.”
At most, he would just keep getting killed over and over again.
Expressionless, Lin Qiye summoned the little mummy from the mental hospital.
The tiny mummy carried a cannon completely disproportionate to its size.
Lin Qiye seemed to ponder seriously.
“How about we try blasting you into ashes instead? We’ve got plenty of explosives anyway.”
The bald man was instantly terrified and turned to leap off the airplane.
Carrying the little mummy, Lin Qiye jumped down after him.
“Mumu, fire,” Lin Qiye ordered.
The little mummy opened its mouth and spat out countless bundles of explosives, blasting toward the bald man who was plummeting below.
Several deafening explosions rang out.
Sparks flew everywhere, and a scorching wave of heat surged toward Lin Qiye, about to engulf him.
Steadying himself, Lin Qiye recalled the little mummy back into the mental hospital.
From behind him, countless frost-covered vines burst forth and wrapped around his body. The icy vines blocked the intense heat at close range, greatly easing his discomfort.
Only…
why were some of the vines slipping into his clothes?
The cold vines brushed against the burning skin of his abdomen, sending a faint electric shiver through him that made his whole body tremble.
The vines coiled around his waist suddenly tightened, pulling Lin Qiye back into the cockpit.
An Qingyu withdrew the frost vines and pressed his palm near the shattered window, sealing it over with ice.
“Thanks,” Lin Qiye said sincerely after steadying his breathing.
If not for An Qingyu’s frost vines blocking the heat, his clothes would probably have been burned to ashes.
And having no clothes to wear would’ve been incredibly awkward.
An Qingyu pushed up the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, a faint smile curving his lips.
“Qiye, we’re good brothers. There’s no need to be so polite with me.”
