Yun is anxious as he held his mother in his hug. Taehyun spoke, "What's your name?"
Yun turned his head up to look at the back of his uncle, "Yun."
Taehyun while driving his car carefully, "Take a deep breath and hold it in. You are sweating a lot"
Yun blinked at his advice, surprised to be cared for. He took a deep breath and held it in. He did this a couple of times to ease nervousness.
Soon, they reach the hospital. The emergency staff at the hospital took Yun's mother in to the operation room.
Yun sat outside in the hall. He looked at his 3 uncles who were talking to each other at the side.
'They must be discussing about their new found nephew in the family'
Yun shook his head, 'I should focus on my mom. Hope she will turn out to be fine. This is the hospital owned by them after all.'
Joonseo walked up to Yun, "Father briefed us just now. We caught the people who attacked your mom."
Yun didn't know how to respond to that, "is that so... Uncle..."
Joonseo flinched at being called Uncle. He was also told about this new nephew who was going to be part of the family but it all felt surreal.
Minjae saw the awkward atmosphere around them and couldn't hold himself back smiling seeing his brother Joonseo getting all flustered.
He Sat next to Yun as he draped his hand around his shoulder, "Good to hear you call him Uncle though he is only in his twenties. It is nice to have you in our family."
Yoonseo glares at Minjae. But Minjae is taken aback when Yun replies, "Good to be part of the family, Uncle."
Yoonseo smirked, "Yeah. You got like 3 uncles. This is Uncle Minjae."
Minjae dropped his smile at the statement. He dropped his hand to the waist of the Yun and pinched him. Yun let out a cry, "uwah..."
Minjae turned his head, "Yun, This is Uncle Yoonseo." Yun knew that he got pinched cause his uncle is pissed.
'I can't upset this uncle, he will lay his hands on my body and do whatever he wants to.'
Taehyun scolded Minjae, "Take your hands off him Minjae. He isn't your boytoy but your nephew."
Minjae took his hands off. Yun felt relieved. He felt suffocated between both of them, "Thanks, Uncle Taehyun."
Taehyun smiled, "Let us wait for your mom. No need to worry. The doctors here are good. If they can't save her, we will bury them."
It was only in that moment that Yun finally grasped the truth: his family was mafia, and burying bodies meant nothing to them.
Joonseo and Minjae thought, 'He is not at all bothered that he is being called uncle huh! Always acting cool.'
Soon doctor came out of the operation room to announce that Yun's mother is safe.
Yun was glad to hear that his mother was fine. He saw his mother lay peacefully in the hospital bed.
He wanted to stay but his uncles wanted to take him back home. He left reluctantly after seeing his mother is being taken care of by few caretakers. He thought he should rest and come back when his mom wakes up.
Yun was taken to the Choi family, his uncle's home. When he got there, his grandpa was there to welcome him, "Welcome home, Yun."
Yun never even uttered the word about whether he wanted to be part of the family or not but he knew it wouldn't matter what he thought since his mother was the one who promised them that he would be their family, "yeah, grandpa..."
Grandpa smiled, "Come, I need you to be at one place."
His uncles gestured him to follow. He walked with them and followed grandpa.
He was taken to a warehouse where there were few people tied to the chairs.
Yun gulped, 'What now?'
