Lin Haoyu, eager to witness the drama, was invited by Liu Sanjin to play cards. Without a second thought, she agreed immediately. When she arrived at the glass conservatory, wow, there were so many people!

Lin Haoyu's eyes widened slightly with excitement, the corners of her mouth curving upward as she smiled.

Except for Lin Kangrui, all six Lin siblings were present, plus Liu Sanjin, making exactly seven—what a perfectly neat group.Full novel: Gossiping in a 1990s Hong Kong Tycoon Family — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Sixth sister is here." The moment Lin Haoxin spoke, everyone turned their heads in unison to look at the door.

Lin Haoyu smiled calmly: "I arrived a few minutes early, but I didn't expect everyone to be here even earlier."

She wasn't late, after all.

"We haven't even opened the cards yet—perfect timing, sixth sister," Lin Haoxin controlled the pace of the conversation. "There are seven of us here. Four play cards, the other three watch but can't help cheat, and we rotate. How about that?"

Lin Haofei shot Lin Haoxin a glare and snorted: "We still need someone to deal the cards. I don't trust anyone else—sixth sister, you deal."

Lin Haoxin replied unhurriedly: "I have no objections. It's up to sixth sister."

Lin Haoyu nodded: "Fine, but who plays first?"

The six of them immediately straightened up, sizing each other up—even when it came to cards, they had to compete! After several rounds of back-and-forth, Lin Haoxin and Lin Haofei stepped back, leaving Lin Kangzong, Lin Kangyao, and Lin Kangjie, the three men, to play cards with Liu Sanjin.

Seeing this combination, Lin Haoyu's eyes lit up like lightbulbs. Yes, yes, this was exactly what she wanted to see!

Lin Haoyu happily shuffled the cards: "Cards are shuffled. I'm dealing now."

Liu Sanjin tossed her hair and gave a charming smile: "Sixth sister, deal me a good hand so I can beat all three of them."

"Sister Sanjin, I'm not helping anyone cheat. It's all up to your luck." Lin Haoyu smiled. Liu Sanjin's gaze was practically electric, but she wasn't affected by it.

Liu Sanjin wasn't annoyed either, still beaming: "Then Big Brother and Third Brother, go easy on me later. Kangyao, you're on my side—you should all let me win a little."

Lin Kangjie raised an eyelid, smiling ambiguously at Liu Sanjin across the table, but too lazy to say anything.

Liu Sanjin stared directly at Lin Kangzong: "What about Big Brother?"

Lin Kangzong said: "Of course I'll go easy on you."

"Big Brother is the best. Don't you think so, Kangyao?" Liu Sanjin, after teasing Lin Kangzong, didn't neglect Lin Kangyao either—a true master of keeping everyone happy.

Lin Kangyao curved his lips into a smile, dashing and alluring: "Of course Big Brother would be willing to yield to us younger siblings. Otherwise, how could he be Big Brother?"

Lin Kangzong sneered coldly.

Lin Haoyu secretly pressed down on the corners of her mouth that kept curling up. There were only playing cards on the table, but what she saw was clashing blades and flashing swords—brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Today's trip was worth it.

"Sister Sanjin, would you like tea or red wine?" Lin Haoxin suddenly spoke, interrupting the undercurrents flowing beneath the card table.

Liu Sanjin played a card and glanced up briefly: "I'll definitely have red wine, thank you, fourth sister."

Lin Haoxin transformed into a busy little bee, diligently pouring red wine for the four players. After pouring, she naturally walked over and stood behind Liu Sanjin, watching her play.

After dealing the cards, Lin Haoyu stepped back a few paces and sat in a soft, comfortable chair. Her gaze casually swept beneath the card table, then suddenly froze on a certain spot. She saw Liu Sanjin's foot, still in its high heel, wrapped around Lin Kangyao's leg—the movement was… intimate and alluring…

Lin Haoyu's face flushed. She slowly moved her gaze upward, only to see both parties wearing completely composed expressions. If not for the secret beneath the table, she would have thought they were genuinely playing cards seriously. The most crucial part was that Liu Sanjin kept teasing Lin Kangzong verbally from time to time, and every time she did, she'd turn to Lin Kangyao afterward, her foot hooking him in tandem.

So, what was this supposed to be? Was Lin Kangzong just a piece in Lin Kangyao and Liu Sanjin's little game?

Lin Haoyu was utterly bewildered by the drama. She didn't understand—she really didn't understand. You rich people have too much free time, do you really need to stir up some excitement for fun?

Lin Haoyu studied Lin Kangzong carefully. All she saw was him smiling with confidence, his eyes filled with barely concealed smugness and provocation, completely unaware of the secret beneath the table.

"Liu Sanjin really does prefer Lin Kangyao."

Lin Haoyu nearly jumped out of her seat. She thought she'd spoken her thoughts aloud, but turning her head, she found it was Lin Haofei whispering in her ear. She patted her chest: "Fifth sister, why are you trying to scare me?"

Lin Haofei looked at her with disdain: "Coward. You only dare to watch the excitement sneakily."

"You're so brave—go expose them then. If you don't, you're a coward." Lin Haoyu shot back.

"I'm not going. Why would I expose Liu Sanjin and Lin Kangyao? Watching them toy with Lin Kangzong brings me nothing but joy," Lin Haofei crossed her arms, wearing a look of pure amusement, cackling a few times. "Especially seeing Lin Haoxin running around in a panic. I can't wait for the three of them to keep tangling with each other."

Lin Haoyu: "…"

Well, this one was someone who loved watching the drama unfold without a care in the world. And honestly, if Lin Haofei hadn't been adding fuel to the fire, this love triangle would have already reached its conclusion long ago.

"So, what's the real story with the three of them?" Lin Haoyu genuinely couldn't make sense of the spectacle.

Lin Haofei sneered. "Truth or lies, I'm not a tapeworm in their bellies. Only they know what they're really thinking. Anyway, they're just playing around—none of the three are married, and Lin Kangyao and Liu Sanjin haven't even held an engagement ceremony."

Lin Haoyu got it. She should just enjoy the gossip, no need to overthink, no need to worry about others. Just sit back, watch the show, and have a good time.

While Lin Haoyu sat there watching the drama, over at the card table Lin Kangjie was being ganged up on by the trio. He lost the first round miserably. Lin Haoyu walked over to deal the second round, and Lin Kangjie was targeted again, losing horribly. In the third round, no one targeted him, but his luck was terrible, and he lost embarrassingly again. Rounds four, five, six—loss after loss.

The word "LOSS" was practically written all over Lin Kangjie's face.

He couldn't keep playing like this. Losing every single round was too humiliating for him to bear.

Lin Kangzong mocked him: "Third brother's hands are cursed today, bad luck. One more round—big brother will go easy on you."

Lin Kangjie flew into a rage, veins bulging on his forehead. He shot up from his seat, raised his hand, and flipped the solid wood card table over in one go. Lin Kangzong jumped back in shock and started cursing, but just as he opened his mouth, he saw the secret under the table laid bare before his eyes—Liu Sanjin had slipped off one high heel and placed her foot between Lin Kangyao's legs…

The glass conservatory fell silent. Soft, warm sunlight streamed in, casting a serene and beautiful glow.

Lin Haoyu raised her hand to cover her eyes, but the gaps between her fingers were wide enough that nothing was hidden. She watched as Lin Kangjie let out a contemptuous laugh, Lin Kangzong's face turned ashen, while Liu Sanjin and Lin Kangyao showed not a trace of embarrassment—instead, they were completely composed, bold and unashamed.

Liu Sanjin leisurely slipped her high heel back on, flashed a seductive smile, leaned her body against Lin Kangyao, and cooed sweetly: "Kangyao and I are getting engaged soon. We have a wonderful relationship."

Lin Haoyu let out a small "wow." Sister Sanjin—she was willing to sincerely call her Sister Sanjin. Damn, Sister Sanjin was something else.

Lin Haoyu recalled the first time she'd seen Lin Kangyao and Liu Sanjin in the back garden. Hmm, well, uh—she respected all sexual preferences that didn't break the law.

Lin Kangzong seemed to think of something, his face shifting colors like a chameleon, until finally he calmed down and said with a composed expression: "Very good. If your relationship is strong, that's good news for the union of our two families."

Lin Kangyao looked at his eldest brother, his brow twitching slightly. Lin Kangjie stopped laughing and stared intently at Lin Kangzong.

But Lin Kangzong turned to Lin Haoyu instead and said: "Sixth sister, why don't you deal the cards."

Lin Haoyu looked at Lin Kangzong with a hint of curiosity and slowly drawled out one word: "Sure."

Oh my, Lin Kangzong really did have something to him.
