On the towering sacred mountain, every pair of eyes was fixed on Theron.

Each god wore a different expression.

They had all heard him refer to Uranus as the first King of the Gods.Full novel: Greek Mythology: The True God of Fate — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

If there was a first…

Then there would naturally be a second.

Did that mean the mighty Uranus, King of the Sky, was not destined to rule forever?

It was precisely because of those words that Uranus had chosen to ask about the prophecy directly.

Although he still regarded Theron as weak and insignificant, anyone who cared about the throne of the King of the Gods would be unable to ignore such a possibility.

And that was exactly what Theron had hoped for.

A prophecy only became a prophecy once it was known.

A destined future only truly began to move once it had been revealed.

Ignoring the complicated gazes directed at him, Theron looked at Uranus and spoke in a humble, respectful tone.

“Your Majesty, there is truly no need to concern yourself with such matters.”

“You are a great ruler.”

“The world has flourished because of your existence.”

“You are the rightful King of the Gods.”

He first offered sincere praise.

When he saw that Uranus remained expressionless, he lowered his voice.

“But Your Majesty should understand…”

“There is nothing eternal.”

“Even the world and time itself will one day reach their end.”

“The gods are no exception.”

Uranus’s tightly furrowed brow relaxed slightly.

Those words sounded more like philosophy than prophecy, easing the unease in his heart.

At that moment, he had only recently inherited the supreme authority of Patriarchy.

The world itself had acknowledged him.

His power had risen to the level of Creation, rivaling—even surpassing—that of the Primordial Gods.

Never before had he possessed such overwhelming strength.

The immense power flowing through him convinced him that nothing in existence was truly beyond his control.

Even if the world someday approached its end…

He believed he could reverse it by force.

Yet…

That still did not explain why Theron had called him the first King of the Gods.

“Honored Prophet…”

“I wish to know my future.”

Uranus looked directly into Theron’s eyes.

“After me…”

“Will there be another King of the Gods?”

Theron immediately revealed a troubled expression.

It seemed as though he wished to avoid answering.

After a long silence, he sighed softly.

“Your Majesty…”

“Knowing the future is not always a blessing.”

“Perhaps…”

“It would be better if you did not know.”

“Lord Theron.”

Uranus remained completely unmoved.

“Simply tell me what you have seen.”

“There is no need to concern yourself with anything else.”

Seeing that persuasion was impossible, Theron sighed once more.

His face was filled with helplessness and regret.

“If that is Your Majesty’s wish…”

“Then I shall speak.”

“You will rule this world for an age.”

“But in the end…”

“Your throne as King of the Gods…”

“Will pass to one of your own children.”

Theron met Uranus’s gaze, speaking each word clearly and without hesitation.

“Royal authority is not eternal.”

The moment those words were spoken…

The entire divine hall fell silent.

The expressions of the newly born Twelve Titans changed dramatically.

Flames of anger appeared in Gaia’s eyes as she glared at Theron.

She understood all too well what those words implied.

They planted the seeds of distrust between father and child.

At that moment, she was filled with dissatisfaction toward Theron.

Had Uranus not been present…

She would have attacked him on the spot.

Ironically…

The calmest person in the hall was the very subject of the prophecy.

Uranus.

His expression did not change in the slightest.

There was no anger.

No surprise.

Only an unfathomable calm.

It was precisely because he remained silent that neither Gaia nor the Twelve Titans dared act, despite the turmoil in their hearts.

After a long pause, Uranus finally spoke.

“Lord Theron…”

“Is there anything else?”

His tone was as calm as before, as though the shocking prophecy had meant nothing at all.

Theron nodded slightly.

“Your child…”

“Will one day raise a blade against you.”

“And your other children will aid him.”

After saying this, Theron bowed respectfully.

“Your Majesty…”

“That is all I am able to see.”

“My divine power is limited.”

“I can perceive only fragments of fate.”

His meaning was clear.

He was merely recounting what he had witnessed.

He was not the one creating destiny.

Uranus nodded.

He accepted the explanation.

After all, Theron’s weakness was obvious to everyone.

“Very well.”

“What request do you wish to make?”

He did not ask another question about the prophecy.

It was as though Theron’s words held no weight whatsoever.

Such indifference came from absolute confidence.

Just as Theron had anticipated.

Having only recently been acknowledged by the world and ascended to the throne of the King of the Gods, Uranus now possessed the power of Creation itself.

He feared no challenger.

Had Theron’s prophecy involved one of the Primordial Gods…

Perhaps he would have felt some concern.

But his own children?

To Uranus, the very idea was absurd.

The Twelve Titans had only just been born, yet each already possessed Intermediate Divine Power.

With time, they might reach Greater Divine Power.

But that was their limit.

Even if all twelve joined forces…

Uranus still did not believe they were worthy of standing against him.

To him, the prophecy was laughable.

Combined with the fact that it had come from such a weak deity, it became even less convincing.

For a brief moment, Uranus even found himself amused.

He had almost believed the words of someone so insignificant.

Yes, Theron’s first prophecy had come true.

But one accurate prediction alone proved nothing.

His doubts disappeared completely.

He no longer cared about the hidden challenge contained within the prophecy.

To take offense would be beneath the dignity of the King of the Gods.

He would simply fulfill his promise, grant Theron one reasonable request, and send him away.

The mere thought of such a weak god remaining on his sacred mountain was irritating.

Theron’s face immediately lit up with unconcealed joy.

Seeing that expression, Uranus looked down on him even more, though he revealed none of it outwardly.

“Thank you for Your Majesty’s generosity.”

“I…”

“I only ask for one thing.”

“I hope that, as King of the Gods…”

“You will acknowledge my divine authority.”

He scratched his head awkwardly.

“I am simply too weak.”

“Even the body formed by my divine authority cannot fully solidify.”

“If Your Majesty is willing to recognize my authority…”

“Then it should finally become complete.”

The moment those words were spoken…

Not only Uranus…

Even the Twelve Titans looked at Theron with unconcealed disdain.

They had known he was weak.

They had not expected him to be this weak.

Uranus almost laughed.

Not because Theron amused him…

But because he found himself ridiculous for having invited someone like this to such an important divine banquet.

Still…

The request was absurdly simple.

There was no reason to refuse.

Besides, the authority of Prophecy was hardly an important divine office.

Recognizing it carried no apparent risk.

Uranus calmly nodded.

His majestic voice echoed throughout the divine hall.

The authority of the King of the Gods resonated with the will of the world itself.

“I, Uranus…”

“As King of the Gods…”

“Recognize the divine authority of Lord Theron.”

The instant those words were spoken…

A genuine smile appeared on Theron’s face.

His once-translucent body became completely solid.

The divine power within him surged dramatically.

His authority over Fate became clearer than ever before, intertwining with his very existence.

At that moment…

The world of Chaos, which had always rejected him, finally accepted him completely.

Theron bowed deeply.

“Thank you for Your Majesty’s assistance.”

“You truly are a generous King of the Gods.”
