Harry and his friends, having learned about Nicolas Flamel and the Philosopher’s Stone from Will, fell into a state of anxiety.
They were convinced that Snape intended to steal the Philosopher’s Stone and give it to Lord Voldemort, and they began trying to come up with a way to stop him.
“If you ask me, we should go and protect the Philosopher’s Stone,” Ron said.
“Or we could get our hands on it ourselves. That way, protecting it would be much easier.”
Harry nodded in agreement.
“Ron is right. We should get the Philosopher’s Stone.”
“Are you insane?” Hermione stared at them in disbelief.
“Harry defeated You-Know-Who, remember? Maybe it would be safest if Harry held the stone.” Ron’s eyes darted around nervously.
“That’s not what I’m talking about.” Hermione glared at Ron.
“How are you going to get past that giant three-headed dog guarding the trapdoor? It could swallow both of you in one bite, and it has another head watching the rest of us, probably wondering whether we’re its next meal!”
“Harry, it’s too dangerous. You’re going to get yourselves killed. You can’t possibly get past that trapdoor,” Neville also tried to dissuade them, though his words came out rather bluntly.
“Don’t be silly, Neville. We’ll figure something out,” Ron muttered.
“Anyway, we absolutely have to get the Philosopher’s Stone before Snape does.”
“We could ask Hagrid how to deal with that dog,” Harry suggested.
Ron immediately shook his head.
“Harry, Hagrid isn’t just angry. He won’t tell us how to deal with the dog. He doesn’t even believe Snape would hurt you.”
“I meant we could ask him after he’s cooled down. Hagrid tends to reveal a lot of information when he’s in a good mood. Remember what happened earlier?”
Everyone suddenly realized that Hagrid wasn’t particularly good at keeping secrets.
“Maybe we could give Hagrid some Christmas presents to cheer him up.”
“But what does Hagrid like?” Neville asked.
He wasn’t very familiar with Hagrid yet.
“He loves anything related to magical creatures,” Harry said decisively.
“We can give him something related to magical creatures.”
“I’ll write to Charlie and ask him to send me some Dragon scales.” Ron thought of his second-oldest brother, who was studying Dragons in Romania.
He wanted Charlie to send him some scraps.
“Ron, Dragon scales are valuable magical materials. They can be used in Alchemy, Potions, and various other magical applications. Besides, I read in a book that Dragon handlers can’t simply take Dragon products whenever they want. Are you sure your brother can send you a whole bag?” Hermione reminded him.
Ron fell silent.
He really didn’t know much about it.
He only knew that Charlie worked with Dragons.
“I can pay for them. I still have plenty of Galleons in my vault,” Harry offered.
Stopping Voldemort was the most important thing to him right now. You are reading on g.com, the official source.
“And I think we should tell Professor Dumbledore,” Hermione suggested.
Neville stood beside her and nodded.
“I… I think so too. We can’t handle this ourselves.”
“Hermione, what are you talking about?” Ron stared at her in confusion.
“Wouldn’t that be the same as admitting to Professor Dumbledore that we went into the forbidden corridor on the third floor?”
Hermione looked at Ron and Harry seriously.
“Don’t be foolish. What if we can’t stop Snape? He’s an adult wizard and a Professor at Hogwarts. You don’t seriously think we can handle Snape ourselves, do you?”
She continued firmly, “We should tell Professor Dumbledore. Don’t forget, he’s the only wizard Voldemort ever feared. If we want to stop Voldemort’s plan, we should tell Professor Dumbledore.”
Hermione stared seriously at the three boys.
…
Harry stood outside the Headmaster’s office, feeling his throat grow dry.
Would Professor Dumbledore deduct points from Gryffindor because he had trespassed into the forbidden corridor?
Would he believe what Harry told him?
Would he believe that Snape was trying to steal the Philosopher’s Stone?
Harry suddenly felt that sending him here had been a mistake.
He didn’t even know the password to the office.
What if Professor Dumbledore wasn’t there?
Would he have to wait all day?
Fortunately, a few minutes later, his worries were put to rest.
The office door opened, and Professor Dumbledore stepped out.
His eyes behind his half-moon spectacles revealed a hint of surprise.
“Harry, what are you doing here?”
Harry swallowed nervously.
“Professor, I want to talk to you about the Philosopher’s Stone.”
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow before allowing Harry into the office.
An hour later, Harry emerged from the office and returned to his friends.
He immediately told them the news. Read this novel at novelping.com for the best experience.
“Professor Dumbledore said that Snape is completely trustworthy. He couldn’t possibly be trying to steal the Philosopher’s Stone.”
Everyone was bewildered.
Ron even began questioning Dumbledore’s judgment.
“Is Professor Dumbledore getting too old…?”
Their investigation had reached a dead end.
As for Will, he had no intention of getting involved in their troublesome investigation.
He continued his peaceful routine, tirelessly grinding for experience day after day.

The past month had been quite peaceful for Will.
Before Christmas, he finally leveled up twice, raising Curses to Level 2 and Herbology to Level 3.
Most importantly, he had accumulated a considerable amount of Runes experience, bringing Runes to Level 2 (100/200).
It wouldn’t be long before Runes gained another additional ability.

During this period of peace and tranquility, Christmas was approaching, and the young Wizards were becoming increasingly restless with the holidays just around the corner.
One morning, while Will was eating breakfast, his owl flew into the Great Hall and dropped a letter for him, landing right on top of his fried egg.
Will opened the letter, which had a few oil stains on it.
This was the first letter he had received since arriving at Hogwarts.
The first line immediately made him raise an eyebrow in surprise.

Dear Son,
I already know you have gone to Hogwarts to study…
