“Young Master, would you like me to take you there?” Leo knew Ternas well enough to understand that he certainly would not need him to.

The young master did not care about such formalities, but he still asked out of courtesy.

As expected, Ternas shook his head and refused.Full novel: Harry Potter: Sacrifice of Worlds — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I’ll go take a look first.

You carry on with your work.” With that, Ternas headed toward the back of the shop.

After spending more than two hours working in the back courtyard, Neville came to find Ternas with a toad in his hands.

Looking at the pet in Neville’s hands, Ternas felt his head buzzing.

He simply could not understand why Neville was so fixated on a toad.

“Ternas, look!

This is my pet.

It’s a toad with Invisible Beast blood.

Isn’t it amazing?” As he spoke, Neville foolishly brought the toad close to his face and happily gave it a light kiss.

The sight gave Ternas a chill.

“You actually kissed it?!” Neville raised his head in confusion after hearing Ternas’s words and looked at him, not understanding what he meant.

“Don’t you think it’s disgusting to kiss a toad?” Ternas was speechless.

What kind of strange preference was this?

Seeing Ternas looking rather exasperated, Neville shook his head shyly and said, “Not really.

Trevor is cute!” ???

Ternas had countless question marks hovering over his head.

His entire worldview had been shattered.

Ternas grumpily grabbed Neville and dragged him outside.

He had already finished looking through most of the magical items here.

They were all damaged magical artifacts to some degree.

Ternas had collected those that could be repaired or still had some value.

As for the rest, they could only be melted down and reused.

He dragged Neville to the front counter of the Junk Shop.

Algie and Aini had already arrived and were currently discussing the situation with Leo.

They knew about some of their son’s interests, and although they felt that some of them were rather lacking in sophistication, since it was something their son liked, they did not say anything more.

They only hoped that after he turned eleven and went to Hogwarts, he would focus on his studies and devote more of his attention to learning.

“Mom, why did you buy Neville a pet like this?

This is just too…” Before Ternas could finish speaking, Aini interrupted him.

“Ternas, you should respect other people’s decisions.

Neville likes this pet, so no matter what, we should support him instead of denying his decision.” This time, Aini spoke to Ternas in an unusually serious tone.

It was rare for her to speak to him like this.

Ternas had always been sensible and obedient since childhood, and he was also very respectful toward others.

But this time, he seemed to have become a little too prejudiced.

Hearing his mother’s words, Ternas’s previously energetic movements came to an abrupt stop.

The words he had been about to say became stuck in his throat.

She was right.

Perhaps it had become a habit since childhood.

He had always regarded Neville as a child who needed his care.

That had never really been a problem before, but when it came to choosing a pet this time, he had indeed allowed his preconceived notions to influence him.

In his mind, one thing had always left a particularly deep impression.

At the very beginning of the story, Neville’s search for his toad Trevor had occupied a considerable portion of the original novel and films.

As a result, his impression of Trevor had become fixed around a single word: “troublesome.” Because of this, whenever Trevor was involved, he always subconsciously put himself in the situation.

In his mind, Trevor was simply not the best pet for Neville.

But that very way of thinking had caused him to overlook one important thing: Neville’s own wishes.

After all, this was Neville’s pet, and only Neville himself could decide whether it was suitable for him.

Once he understood this, Ternas turned around somewhat awkwardly and looked at Neville apologetically.

“I’m sorry, Neville.

I didn’t take your feelings into consideration.

I’m really sorry.” Neville was somewhat at a loss.

Ever since he was little, he had always regarded Ternas as his role model.

In his eyes, Ternas was practically perfect.

Everything he did was right, and he never made mistakes.

Yet he had never expected someone like that to apologize to him at this moment.

For a while, Neville simply did not know how to react or what he should do next.

Aini was very pleased with her son’s behavior.

Ternas had always been extremely intelligent and sensible since childhood.

He had never disappointed them.

But precisely because of that, she, as his mother, often felt rather helpless.

Sometimes, she, Algie, and Augusta all felt as though they had no idea what to do.

As parents, their responsibility was to guide their children and help them follow the right path.

Yet Ternas’s behavior from childhood onward had given them almost no opportunity to play that role.

At one point, it had even made them feel as though their existence was unnecessary.

They had never expected that today, she would actually have the opportunity to teach her own child something.

Aini felt an enormous sense of pride.

This was practically a first in their family!

Just look at Algie beside her.

He was staring at her with an expression full of envy.

This was the first time she had ever experienced the feeling of truly being a parent when it came to Ternas.

Before this, if they wanted to experience that feeling, they could only find it through Neville.

Experiencing it with Ternas was a first.

After receiving Neville’s forgiveness, Ternas turned around and happened to see his mother’s rather smug expression.

After thinking about it for a moment, he understood what had happened and could not help rolling his eyes.

He ignored the two of them.

Instead, he walked over to the counter on his own and tossed three Galleons onto the table.

This was payment for the magical artifacts he had taken that still had some practical value.

Leo swept the three Galleons into the drawer.

It had already become routine, and he handled it with practiced ease.

“By the way, Mom, did you buy Neville’s wand?” Having remembered something, Ternas asked about it.

For a wizard, a wand was their most important companion, so this was something that needed to be taken seriously.
