The young girl inadvertently raised her voice in her excitement, which clearly exceeded Madam Pince’s threshold of tolerance.

Before Granger could finish her sentence, Madam Pince marched over with heavy, brisk steps and tapped irritably on their long table.

If you want to argue, please step outside and stop disturbing others here.” Madam Pince’s stern words made the two boys bury their heads even lower, while Granger realized her own breach of decorum.

After offering a quiet, embarrassed apology to Madam Pince, the young witch paid Harry and Ron no more mind, flipping through her books with a trace of annoyance.

Seeing this, Harry and Ron had no choice but to search along with Granger.

Compared to the young witch’s dedication, however, the two young boys sat as though nails had been placed on their chairs, squirming uncomfortably.

Seeing no more drama to watch, Kyle lost interest and quietly resumed scanning his own materials.

Unfortunately, after only half an hour, Kyle went from being a bystander to a participant.

Frowning at the trio standing before him, Kyle greeted them helplessly, “Good afternoon, Miss Granger, Harry, Mr.

Weasley.

Is there a problem?” Granger glared angrily at Harry but said nothing.

Ron Weasley, on the other hand, looked utterly vigilant, clutching Harry’s arm to keep him from speaking.

“Harry, how can you trust an evil Slytherin?

Who knows if he’s in league with…

you-know-who?

Even if he isn’t, what if he leaks our secret?

This is definitely a bad idea!” It was almost unbelievable how Ron could put on such a solemn face while uttering such brainless words with righteous indignation.

“Mr.

Weasley,” Kyle said, “I feel compelled to remind you that I did not ask you to come over.

Your accusations against Slytherin are far too arrogant.

Slytherin has existed for over a thousand years, producing countless prestigious wizards who have made immense contributions to the magical world.

Yet in your mouth, they become evil and untrustworthy.

Such ridiculous babble is truly nauseating.” Having said that, Kyle ignored the red-haired boy whose face had flushed red with fury.

To be honest, Kyle really couldn’t fathom what Ron had to be angry about.

Ignorant, prejudiced, parrot-like, mindless—and judging by the rumors Kyle had heard about him, he could add “ambitious yet untalented” to the list.

How could someone like that even feel entitled to be angry?

Was he angry at his own incompetence?

“Alright, Weasley.

Right now, standing here we have the Savior, a hardworking, brilliant, and utterly charming top student of our year, and a Slytherin prefect.

And you?

What are you supposed to be?

What right do you have to speak?

Please step aside!” Kyle’s words had become entirely merciless, yet Ron clearly couldn’t find anything to refute them with.

He could only grit his teeth, feebly repeating, “You…

you evil Slytherin.” Kyle’s few interactions with Ron had left him with a terrible impression.

Granted, Ron was loyal to his friends and brave enough to stand up for them, but that was far from enough to make up for his glaring flaws.

Harry glanced at Kyle awkwardly and tried his best to soothe his friend.

Clearly, Harry had come with a question, but at this moment, he didn’t pursue it further.

Instead, the young witch stepped forward.

“May I call you Kyle, sir?

Thank you for saving us back on Halloween.

Also, I apologize for Ron’s rudeness.

You may call me Hermione.” Hermione’s words clearly enraged Ron even further—he even pulled out his wand.

If Weasley had actually dared to cast a spell at Kyle regardless of the consequences, Kyle might have held a shred of respect for him.

Unfortunately, he was stopped by Harry once again.

“It’s my honor, Miss Hermione.

I noticed you were having an argument earlier.

Did something happen?” Clearly, when some things were unavoidable, it was better to address them directly.

Hearing Kyle’s words, Weasley began clamoring again about eavesdropping and bad intentions.

However, Kyle completely ignored him and looked straight at Hermione.

“Yes, Mr.

Kyle.

We’re looking for someone named Nicolas Flamel.

Do you know who he is?” Hearing the name, Kyle’s expression turned slightly peculiar.

He was now entirely certain that the plot of the first book had officially begun, as Nicolas Flamel was the creator of the Philosopher’s Stone.

*To think I’d actually end up pushing the plot forward,* Kyle thought helplessly.

“Of course, Miss Hermione.

Nicolas Flamel is the only known creator of the Philosopher’s Stone.

He celebrated his six hundred and sixty-fifth birthday last year and currently lives in seclusion in Devon with his wife.” “That is some brief information I know about Nicolas Flamel.

If you want more details, *An Introduction to Alchemy Masters* and *Great Wizards of the Millennium* should be able to help you.” Kyle spoke calmly, but even this brief information was clearly enough of a breakthrough for Hermione.

After hurriedly thanking Kyle, she grabbed the bewildered Harry and Ron and rushed out of the library.

Though both came from the Muggle world, the young witch was clearly far more capable than Harry.

*** Time flew by, and soon another month passed, bringing them to mid-February.

Kyle had finished the first draft of his plan.

He was currently testing and refining it on his own, continuously adding new ideas and experiments.

Because he had to complete all the work himself, Kyle didn’t even dare discuss it with the professors.

After all, whether it was the current Energy Core or the future energy room of the Floating City, it was of paramount importance to Kyle.

One could never be too cautious.

Perhaps in the future, if he met someone with shared aspirations or was protected by a magical contract, he might share this research, but certainly not now.

The magic array Kyle was currently designing could almost be directly applied to a portable energy room.

Even for a future Floating City, the general concept would be derived from this very magic array.

Thus, Kyle wouldn’t let it slip out easily.

Having reached a milestone in his research put Kyle in an exceptionally good mood.

He even felt like sitting in the common room and listening to the snakes trade gossip.

For example, a second-year Ravenclaw had fallen for a third-year, while that third-year had a crush on a Gryffindor, who in turn liked a Hufflepuff—yet that Hufflepuff was head over heels for a Slytherin.

Such news was utterly boring, far less interesting than a single independent rune in a magic array.

Kyle claimed he wasn’t listening at all, nor did he hear the rumor that a certain Hufflepuff girl had a mole on her thigh.

Among these painfully dull pieces of news that Kyle allegedly didn’t care about, however, there was one rather interesting tidbit.

The Savior and his friend seemed very fond of Professor Quirrell, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

Every time the Savior ran into Professor Quirrell in the corridors, he would give him a bright, sunny smile.

Meanwhile, Ron Weasley had started urging people to stop making fun of Professor Quirrell’s stutter.

*It seems the protagonist trio has eliminated Quirrell as a suspect,* Kyle thought to himself.

*Although the Savior acts unreliable and Weasley’s logic is bizarre, with the young witch Granger giving them tactical guidance, their line of thinking shouldn’t stray too far off track.* Kyle stroked his chin, feeling he had gained quite a lot today.

Not only had he heard about the thigh…

ah, no, the Savior’s latest movements, but he had also gathered valuable insights from Harry’s actions.

The common room really was a wonderful place.

Everyone here was so talented, spoke so pleasantly, and provided information he might otherwise overlook.

Kyle decided he would drop by the common room more often whenever he had spare time!
