Hagrid had been so generous, giving Harry both a birthday cake and an owl, that Charlen felt a little embarrassed having nothing to offer in return.

He hadn’t prepared anything beforehand, but after a moment’s thought, he bought a trunk enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm and gave it to Hagrid.

Market-bought trunks naturally couldn’t compare to Old Man Newt’s in capacity, but it could easily hold several trunks’ worth of gear.Full novel: Harry Potter: The Pokemon Master of Hogwarts — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Most importantly, it wouldn’t feel heavy no matter how much was loaded inside.

Afterward, Hagrid took Harry to buy his cauldron and textbooks.

Hagrid had told Harry earlier that Charlen was the professor for the Pokémon Master class, so Harry had assumed *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them* was the textbook Charlen had assigned.

In reality, that book was for Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Once all the shopping was finished, Charlen and Hagrid escorted Harry back.

Hagrid had originally intended to just put Harry on the train, but Charlen walked him all the way to his front door.

Night had fallen by the time the two returned to Hogwarts.

Bidding Hagrid goodnight, Charlen headed back to his office and began planning his tasks for August.

First, finish the reserve, then let the first batch of hatched Pokémon grow up to become his assistants.

He also needed to finish writing the textbooks.

Although students from first to seventh year were all encountering Pokémon for the first time—meaning a single textbook should theoretically suffice—in practice, their capabilities and magic levels varied drastically.

They couldn’t all be treated the same.

While most Pokémon were far more even-tempered than magical beasts, Charlen had no intention of letting younger students handle high-tier creatures like Charizard right off the bat.

As for sixth- and seventh-years, who would only get to take this course for a year or two, Charlen planned to give them a bigger thrill.

Not only would Charizard make an appearance to interact with them, but he might even arrange for them to battle one.

Crafting the textbook itself was easy enough.

With little effort, Charlen duplicated a book version of the Pokédex and used Revealing Potion to make the images come alive.

For the first edition of the Pokédex, Charlen only included the non-Legendary and non-Mythical Pokémon of the Kanto region—146 in total.

Coincidentally, as soon as he completed the text, the system fully unlocked all non-Legendary and non-Mythical Kanto Pokédex entries for him.

[Current Task: Create a suitable first-year Pokémon textbook (Completed).] [Congratulations!

You have unlocked all Kanto region Pokédex entries (excluding Legendary and Mythical Pokémon).] [Total unlocked Pokédex entries: 203.] Seeing this, Charlen felt a surge of delight.

He had previously unlocked 90 Pokédex entries, some of which overlapped with Kanto, though most were from other regions.

Now, his total unlocked entries reached 203.

During the rest of the summer break, he could breed them at the Day Care and release them into the nature reserve.

What really thrilled Charlen, however, was that every 50 unlocked entries granted him a mystery reward.

His previous reward had been several TMs—Technical Machines—that he could learn himself.

“I wonder what rewards I’ll get this time.” Eagerly, he opened the Pokédex interface and located the rewards section at the bottom.

Three unclaimed rewards were waiting for him.

[Congratulations!

Obtained: Complete set of Starter Pokémon (up to Scarlet & Violet)] [Congratulations!

Obtained: Ability: Technician] [Congratulations!

Obtained: Complete set of Evolution Stones (excluding Mega Stones)] “The Starters!” It was undoubtedly a magnificent haul.

Currently, Charlen only possessed the Gen I Starters.

Claiming the first reward immediately unlocked another 21 Pokédex entries.

If he raised all of them to their final evolutions, that would be 63 entries in total, guaranteeing yet another reward down the line.

Furthermore, Starter Pokémon themselves possessed high breeding and training value.

The second reward surprised Charlen even more.

The Technician ability boosted the power of moves with a base power under 60 by 50%.

Charlen discovered that this effect applied not only to Pokémon moves, but also to spells!

Charlen clearly felt a surge in power when casting seemingly simple spells.

Moreover, casting spells with his left hand became noticeably smoother than before.

A simple Levitation Charm, something any first-year young wizard could cast, gained immense potency under the enhancement of this ability.

Charlen’s innate magical power and wand power had already elevated the strength of his spells, but now his control had become refined and precise.

He even instinctively mastered specialized spell-casting gestures and techniques without instruction.

In comparison, the final reward—the set of Evolution Stones—seemed somewhat less extraordinary.

Charlen stowed his rewards away safely.

Luckily, the Starters could all be stored inside Poké Balls; releasing them all at once would have been chaotic.

With the first textbook completed, the rest of the work was much simpler.

He only needed to ask Dumbledore for an educational fund, print a few hundred copies, and distribute them to the students when the time came.

Hogwarts’ funding came from the pure-blood families serving as school governors, though Dumbledore possessed full authority over how the budget was spent.

Still, when Charlen arrived at the stone gargoyles on the third floor and walked into the Headmaster’s office to ask for funds, Dumbledore remarked with a subtle grimace, “Charlen, I believe that if you were willing to sell a portion of your Pokémon’s fur or other materials, there would certainly be people willing to pay handsomely.” Magical beast hair commanded high prices precisely because of its magical properties and its usefulness in Potions and other fields.

Whether Pokémon materials were useful in Potions remained an enigma—Charlen hadn’t been particularly fond of Potions class during his school days.

Naturally, his grades had been excellent; he just hadn’t enjoyed the subject.

However, Charlen had at least proven that they could be used to craft wands.

Aside from his Rainbow Wand, he currently held several wands crafted with materials like Pikachu fur and Pidgeot feathers.

In terms of magic power, they were by no means inferior to ordinary wands.

If he sold some Pokémon materials to Ollivander, the wandmaker would undoubtedly be more than eager to buy them.

“That may be so, headmaster, but why spend my own money when I can spend someone else’s?” Charlen replied immediately.

“Besides, these textbooks are for the students.” “Well, you do make a valid point,” Dumbledore said with a smile.

“Also, thank you for accompanying Hagrid to fetch Harry yesterday.” Ultimately, the textbook Charlen compiled was titled *The Pokémon Encyclopedia*.

It sounded less like a traditional spellbook and more like an educational trivia almanac, but it would do.
